The Game Story:
April 27 – After a strong first half, the injury-depleted Oberlin College men’s lacrosse team ran out of gas in a 20-10 defeat against Saint Vincent College on Sunday afternoon.

Oberlin had seven different players find the back of the cage on the day, but no player had more than two goals as Alex Jacobs and Kif Leswig each scored a pair.

The Yeomen trailed just 8-5 at the break as they outscored SVC 4-3 in the second period. However, their lack of depth hurt them in the second half as Saint Vincent continued to run fresh players in and out of the game to out score the Yeomen 12-5 over the final 30 minutes.

The Yeomen were out-shot 58-33 and SVC also had a 47-33 edge in ground balls.

Drew Zambelli had another fine game for the Yeomen with 16 saves over his 60 minutes in the cage.

Oberlin will return home to host Kenyon College on Wednesday, April 30 at 4:30 p.m.
