The Game Story:
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Ten different players scored as the Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team took a 10-6 win over Colby in a NESCAC contest played at Ryan Field on Wednesday evening. The Polar Bears improve to 7-4 (3-3 NESCAC) as the Mules drop to 6-5 (2-5).

After a scoreless first quarter, Colby took a 1-0 lead at 12:28 of the second period courtesy of a Mark Squicciarino goal. That would be the last lead of the game for the Mules, as Bowdoin held Colby scoreless for the next 23:05 and rolled off five straight goals. Bowdoin scored three times in the final 2:30 of the opening half to take a 4-1 lead at the break and pushed their lead to 5-1 on a Rob Halliday tally with 8:34 left in the third quarter. Colby bounced back with a pair of goals, and Whit McCarthy closed the gap to 5-3 with a score just 35 seconds remaining in the third.

The fourth quarter saw a flurry of goals, as Bowdoin rolled off four straight to start the frame, including three man-up tallies, to take a commanding 9-3 advantage. Colby scored three late goals to trim the lead to 9-6 with 2:14 left before late Ben York tally sealed the win for Bowdoin.

Rob Halliday had a goal and two assists to lead the Bowdoin offense. Gordon Convery (30:00) allowed just one goal and made three saves in the first half for the Polar Bears before giving way to Alex Gluck (30:00), who stopped three shots as well. Colby was led by two goals from Squicciarino and Dana McNally. Alex Farmer stopped nine shots for the Mules.
