The Game Story:
RADNOR, Pa. (April 26) – Sophomore Casey Grugan led the Cavaliers with four goals as the Cabrini College men’s lacrosse team defeated Saint Mary’s College (Md.) 20-10 this afternoon. With the win, Cabrini ends its regular season with a 14-2 mark while the Seahawks drop to 7-8.

Senior Matt McKinney registered three goals and one assist while junior Scott Reimer also contributed three scores. Junior Matt Conaway, sophomore Rich Romanelli and freshman Paul Skulski all tallied two goals for the Cavaliers.

Cabrini held a 44-30 advantage in ground balls and recorded 15 more shots than Saint Mary’s.

Following a tie score at three, the Cavaliers scored three unanswered to take a 6-3 lead with 14:37 on the clock in the second period. Saint Mary’s tallied the next two goals to get within one (6-5) before Cabrini scored seven straight.

Cabrini outscored Saint Mary’s 8-5 in the final two periods to earn the win.

The Cavaliers’ senior class of Dan DeRosa, Pat Jenkins, Dan Leigh, Chris Luongo and Matt McKinney were honored before the game.

Cabrini will host a semi-final PAC game on Wednesday, April 30 at 4 p.m.
