The Game Story:
WASHINGTON, D.C. * The Salisbury men's lacrosse team (3-0, 2-0 CAC) stayed perfect in the early 2006
campaign as the Sea Gulls defeated the Cardinals of Catholic (1-2, 0-1 CAC), 19-5, on Friday afternoon
in Washington, D.C. Senior attackman Dan Boyer (Millersville, MD/Mt. St. Joseph's) scored six goals on
seven shots to pace the Sea Gull attack.

Salisbury outscored Catholic, 11-0, in the first quarter. Boyer scored four of Salisbury's goals, while
two apiece were scored by junior attackman Eric Bishop (Media, PA/Penncrest) and junior midfielder Matt
Dasinger (Reistertown, MD/Franklin). Other goal scorers in the first for Salisbury included one apiece
for senior midfielders Jimmy Creighton (Huntington, NY/Huntington) and Mike Hurley (Cambridge,
MD/Cambridge-SD) and senior attackman Ryan Rohde (Glenmoore, PA/Malvern Prep).

Catholic struck for their first goal of the game at the 6:30 mark of the second quarter on an
unassisted strike by Peter Farag. Salisbury answered with another goal by Boyer, his fifth of the game,
to lead at the half, 12-1.

In the third quarter, Salisbury scored four more goals to stretch the lead to 16-1. Bishop, Boyer,
Dasinger, and Rohde each added a goal apiece in the quarter. In the fourth, Catholic would in fact
outscore Salisbury, 4-3. Bishop added another goal for the Sea Gulls, while senior midfielder Chris
Sgritta (Darien, CT/Darien) and freshman attackman Matt Berry (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) each
scored their first goals of the season. Catholic's Conor Kelly and Colin Whitaker each scored two goals
apiece.

In net, Salisbury goalie Max Zarchin (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) stopped one of four shots on goal in
56:00 minutes of play to earn his second win of the season. Catholic's Greg Kavazanjian took the loss
while stopping 15 of 19 shots on goal.

Ryan Brown (Portland, ME/Bridgton Academy) and Ryan DeRose (Oswego, NY/Oswego) led an impressive
Salisbury performance in face-offs as they won 75% (21-of-28) of the faceoffs. Brown won 7-of-11
faceoffs, while DeRose won 9-of-10. Salisbury also out shot Catholic, 40-10, while holding the
advantage in ground balls, 45-32.

Salisbury will return to action Wednesday, March 1, as they travel to Baltimore, MD to take on Goucher
College in CAC conference action for a 3:30 p.m. scheduled face-off.
