The Game Story:
CORTLAND, N.Y. ? Senior Billy Fuchs (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) scored four goals and
added three assists to become the 38th player in Cortland men?s lacrosse history to
surpass 100 career points as the nationally fourth-ranked Red Dragons defeated
sixth-ranked Cabrini, 13-4, Saturday afternoon at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex.
Cortland improved its record to 5-1, while the Cavaliers fell to 6-2.

Senior Ryan Heath (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) contributed three goals and three assists
for the Red Dragons, and senior Kyle Simensky (Locust Valley) and sophomore Brian Krol
(Niskayuna) each scored a pair of goals. Senior Josh Cittadino (Baldwin) added a goal
and an assist, and freshman Chris DeLuca (Sayville) won 9-of-12 faceoffs. Junior goalie
Mike Robinson (Alexandria, VA/Thomas Edison) made 15 saves, just one short of his career
high.

Junior Scott Reimer (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West) led Cabrini with two goals.
Senior Matt McKinney (Swarthmore, PA/Ridley) and sophomore Casey Grugan (Ridley Park,
PA/Ridley) scored one goal apiece. Junior Kevin Chenoweth (Coronado, CA) started in goal
and made one save in 12 minutes, 35 seconds before giving way to junior Bobby Chambers
(West Chester, PA/Henderson), who stopped 10 shots in 47:25.

Cortland opened up a 6-0 lead after the opening quarter as five different players found
the back of the net. The Red Dragons made it 7-0 early in the second quarter before
Reimer and McKinney scored 50 seconds apart to make it a 7-2 game at the half.

Cortland answered with the only four goals of the third quarter, two from Fuchs and one
each from Heath and Simensky, to take a commanding 11-2 lead. The Cavaliers closed to
within 11-4 with the first two goals of the fourth quarter, but the Red Dragons finished
the game with the final two scores.

The game featured 21 penalties, 16 by Cabrini, and 17 man-up chances with Cortland going
3-for-12 and Cabrini 0-5.
