The Game Story:
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior Billy Fuchs (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) recorded five goals and one assist and
senior Ryan Heath (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) finished with three goals and four assists as top-seeded and
nationally 10th-ranked Cortland defeated fourth-seeded Oneonta, 13-3, in a SUNYAC tournament semifinal
contest.

The Red Dragons (12-4) will host second-seeded Geneseo (a 14-8 winner at home over Potsdam) in the league
championship game Saturday at 3:30 p.m., with the champion earning an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III
tournament. Cortland and Geneseo will meet in the SUNYAC title game for the fifth straight year, with Cortland
holding a 3-1 edge in the previous four matchups.

Senior Mike Felice (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) added two goals and one assist and sophomore Michael
Robinson (Alexandria, VA/Thomas Edison) made eight saves and allowed two goals in 50:13 for Cortland, which
has won nine straight games.

Neal Campbell (Merrick/Mepham) led Oneonta (12-5) with two goals and Gordon Bopp (Lindenhurst) scored
once. Nick Murray (West Babylon) started in goal and made 11 saves over the first three quarters. Kyle Reich
(New Hyde Park/Great Neck South) made five saves and allowed two goals over the first 7:20 of the fourth
quarter and Brian Tricoles (East Meadow) registered two saves and gave up one goal during the final 7:40.

Fuchs scored five of Cortland’s first six goals, three of which were assisted by Heath, as the Red Dragons led 6-1
at halftime. Heath recorded all three of his goals in the third quarter as the hosts increased their lead to 10-2.

Cortland held a 58-25 advantage in shots and a 46-22 lead in ground balls. The hosts won 15-of-20 faceoffs and
held Oneonta to just 11 successful clears in 24 attempts, including an 0-for-5 first quarter. Junior Josh Cittadino
(Baldwin) won 14-of-15 faceoffs and grabbed five ground balls.
