The Game Story:
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior Ryan Heath (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) scored five goals and added an assist and
surpassed the career 100-point mark in just his second season to lead the nationally 16-ranked Cortland men’s
lacrosse team to a 20-9 victory versus Stevens Tech Saturday afternoon at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex.
The Red Dragons improved to 9-4 on the season with their sixth consecutive win, while the Ducks fell to 12-3 with
the loss.

Senior Mike Felice (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) matched his career high with seven points on three goals and four
assists for the third time in four games for Cortland. Junior Billy Fuchs (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) reached 50
points on the season with three goals and an assist, junior Adam Hyde (West Seneca/West Seneca East) scored
three goals, freshman Kevin Keown (Morris Plains, NJ/Morristown) recorded a career-best three assists and
senior Bill Gleason (Camillus/West Genesee) added a goal and an assist for the Red Dragons. Sophomore
Michael Robinson (Alexandria, VA/Thomas Edison) started in goal and made seven saves through three
quarters. Sophomore Matt Hipenbecker (Mountain Lakes, NJ) played the fourth quarter and stopped three shots.

For Stevens Tech, junior J.R. Oreskovich (San Diego, CA/La Costa Canyon) and sophomore Matt Keating
(Chatham, NJ) led the offense with two goals and two assists each. Senior Matt Althauser (Bellevue, WA) scored
a pair of goals and senior Mark Bielicky (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) contributed a goal and two
assists. Senior goalie Jack Dunderdale (Ridgefield, CT/Immaculate) made 13 saves in 47:06 before giving way
to junior Corey Vaillancourt (Lincoln Park, NJ/Boonton), who stopped one shot in 12:54.

Cortland opened up a 3-1 lead after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 9-3 at the intermission. The
Red Dragons put the game away in the third quarter, out scoring the Ducks, 8-1, in the 15 minutes for a
commanding 17-4 lead. Cortland outshot Stevens Tech, 20-5, in the quarter and won 9-of-10 faceoffs. The Red
Dragons won 25-of-32 faceoffs in the game, including 16-of-17 by junior Josh Cittadino (Baldwin). The Ducks
held a 5-3 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter for the final 20-9 score.
