The Game Story:
Carlisle, PA)- The Dickinson College men's lacrosse team avenged a 2007 loss with a solid 15-6 win over Kenyon College on Saturday.

The Red Devils jumped out to a 4-0 lead before the Lords struck with just two seconds remaining to make the score 4-1 after the first period. The Devils held Kenyon to just a goal in the second quarter as well, adding four more to take an 8-2 advantage at the break.

The Devil defense continued to dominate in the second half allowing just two goals in each period. The Lords tallied their final goal with just one second remaining in the game.

Senior Matt Kogelschatz (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) anchored the defensive effort, holding Kenyon's top returning scorer to just a pair of goals on the day. He also controlled four ground balls and caused three turnovers.

Sophomore Al Golod (Lloyd Harbor, NY/Cold Spring Harbor) turned in a solid performance as well, controlling a game-high five GBs and causing three turnovers as well.

Six different players struck twice for the Devils with 10 marking the scorebook on the day. First-year Jeff Hartman (Charlotte, NC/Collegiate) tallied a pair of extra-man goals and added an assist.

Sophomore Chris Dodson (Bethesda, MD/Landon) dished out three assists while classmate Charlie Gorman (Chevy Chase, MD/Gonzaga) handed out a pair. Senior Jon Schneider (Lutherville, MD/Park) added two goals and an assist.

Junior Russell Matthews (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) made 13 saves for the Devils while first-year Tyler Magann (Easton, PA/The Hill School) stopped three shots in the final four minutes.

David Page and Adam Szczepanski combined to stop 10 shots for Kenyon (1-2).

The Devils held a 35-22 advantage in ground balls and first-year Pat Curley (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. St. Joseph) won 14-of 25 face-offs.

The Red Devils remain unbeaten at 4-0. They travel to Roanake College next Saturday for a 1:00 pm start.
