The Game Story:
HAVERFORD, PA -- Phil Anthony and Ian Montgomery each had a hand in seven goals as Goucher College launched its 2002 campaign this afternoon with a 14-5 triumph over Haverford.

Anthony scored at least one goal in each period and finished the day with six goals and an assist. Montgomery supplied the Gophers (1-0) with a pair of goals and five assists.

Anthony tallied two of his goals in the opening period, which ended with the Gophers on top 3-0. By halftime, Goucher had stretched its lead to 8-1.

Eric Seideman was the leading scorer for Haverford (0-1) with two goals.

Michael Amash started in goal for the Gophers and was credited with 12 saves before being lifted late in the fourth quarter.
