Wesleyan, 14-8, today at Loyola College?s Curley Field. The win moves the Tigers to 4-1 on the year, while Ohio
Wesleyan falls to 2-2.
Junior All-American Chris Lucas (Fairfax Station, VA) connected on four goals, while junior midfielder Phil Dick (Salem,
VA) scored a season-best three goals to lead the Hampden-Sydney offensive attack, while sophomore Jeremy Bull

The Tigers led by just one goal, 4-3, after the first quarter thanks to a pair of goals from Lucas. The team then
exploded for five goals in the second quarter, including all three from Phil Dick to push the lead to 9-4 at the half.
Hampden-Sydney connected three more times in the third quarter as John Neal (Richmond, VA), Wilson MacIlwaine
(Charlottesville, VA) and Jim Hovis (Richmond, VA) each scored goals, while the stellar defense shutout the Bishops as

Lucas? fourth goal of the contest, along with an unassisted strike from senior Scott Claiborne (Woodbridge, VA)
sealed the game in the fourth quarter, despite four goals from Ohio Wesleyan, including one with just three seconds
remaining in the game. Overall, Hampden-Sydney out-shot Ohio Wesleyan, 39-30, and held an advantage in ground
