The Game Story:
ONEONTA, NY - Rob McKeefrey (Half Hollow Hills West/Melville, NY) finished with five goals and one assist as fourth-ranked Cortland State notched a 16-7 victory over sixth-ranked Hartwick College in non-conference men's lacrosse on Saturday at All-Weather Field.

Cortland moves to 8-1 on the season and has won eight straight games, while Hartwick falls to 6-1. Ross Pino (Webster/Rochester, NY) put Hartwick up 1-0 about 1:30 into the game. The Red Dragons, however, got tough defensively and led 3-1 after the first quarter.

At the start of the second quarter, one of Hartwick's players was issued a 3-minute penalty for an illegal stick. Cortland scored three goals off the unreleasable penalty and stormed to a 10-1 halftime lead.

Craig Degnan (South Side/Rockville Centre, NY) had three goals and two assists for Cortland. Tommy Maier (Fairport/Fairport, NY), Andrew Roth (Don Bosco/Ridegwood, NJ) and Derek Elvin (Orchard Park/Orchard Park, NY) all had two goals and one assist.

Brett Raboy (Ward Melville/S. Setauket, NY) led the Hawks with two goals. Pino, Ethan Poole (Geneva/Geneva, NY) and Kevin Geraghty (Massapequa/Massapequa, NY) all had one goal and one assist.

Steve Feltmann (West Morris/Long Valley, NJ) had 16 saves for Cortland, while Mark Colite (Southington/Southington, CT) made 19 stops for Hartwick.
