The Game Story:
HAVERFORD, PA -- The tradition-rich Washington College men's lacrosse program reached another milestone today, posting its 500th all-time win. The fourth-ranked Shoremen earned the historic victory with an 18-4 Centennial Conference triumph at Haverford, which ran their record this season to 8-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Shoremen grabbed a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and led 10-1 at the half. The Shoremen outshot the Fords, 46-12, and won 18-of-24 face-offs.

Ten different players scored at least one goal for the Shoremen. Senior attackman Jon Fellows (Millington, MD/Kent County) led the way with four goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Chris Edwards (Baltimore, MD/Boys' Latin) tallied three goals. Senior midfielder Brad Hopkins (Kennedyville, MD/Kent County), junior attackman Eric Kuehn (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) and senior attackman Anders Strothman (Annapolis, MD/Boys' Latin) each added two goals. Sophomore midfielder Stephen Berger (Jessup, MD/Mt. St. Joseph) contributed a goal and two assists. Junior midfielder John Timken (Old Saybrook, NY/Westminster) also turned in a multi-point game, scoring one goal and recording one assist.

Mike Fischette paced the Fords (1-10 overall, 0-5 Centennial Conference) in the loss.
