The Game Story:
HAVERFORD, Pa. – The No. 6 Haverford College men’s lacrosse team was victorious over McDaniel, 13-10, on Saturday afternoon at Walton Field in Centennial Conference action.



Brian Fleishhacker led the Fords with four goals. Max Hjelm scored three and Mike Distler added two.



Matt Buschman had five goals for McDaniel (4-9, 0-7 CC). Mike Hatton netted two goals and three others scored a goal.



Haverford (10-3, 5-2) took an early four-goal advantage with two coming from Hjelm. The Green Terror scored twice before the first period ended.



Buschman scored twice and Hatton one to open the second which tied the score at 5-5. Andrew Kim broke the tie with a goal at the 1:25 mark.



Matt Thorne-Fitzgerald and Distler got the scoring started in the third period for an 8-5 Fords lead. HC scored three more goals in the period to hold a three-goal lead heading into the final 15 minutes.



Travis Gregory and Hjelm both scored a goal in the fourth to keep the game at arms-length.



Jake Mendlinger and J.P. Cashiola each played 30 minutes in goal. Both had six saves and Mendlinger recorded the win.



The Fords close out the regular season next Saturday at Swarthmore at 1:30 p.m.
