The Game Story:
GAMBIER, Ohio -- (April 8, 2008) Junior Zach Wallace (Gladwyne, PA/Harriton) scored three goals, classmate Devin Catlin (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) notched four assists, and the Kenyon College Lords lacrosse team had no problems handling the College of Mount Saint Joseph Lions on Tuesday at McBride Field. The Lords went on to a 15-3 romp and improved their overall record to 7-1.

Right from the start, the overmatched Lions didn't even give themselves a chance to threaten the Lords. They racked up four penalties in the game's first quarter and Kenyon pounced on the miscues. The Lords scored twice in man-up situations and jumped out quickly to to a 4-1 lead.

Things settled down a bit in the second quarter, but Kenyon still managed another three goals, including one by senior defender Bob Dignazio (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven). By halftime, Kenyon had forged a 7-1 lead.

The Lords then put any thoughts of a Lions' rally to rest with four more goals in the third. Each of those tallies was scored by a different player, including one from Wallace, who scored in every quarter but the second.

The Lords went on to out-shoot the Lions 52-18 and made good on three of their five man-up opportunities. Mount Saint Joseph (4-6) failed to score in any of its three man-up opportunities and was out-hustled to groundballs, 39-21.

Other notable point-getters for Kenyon were freshman David Clarke (Ashburnham, MA/Cushing Academy), who scored twice, and junior Brett Fuller (Marlborough, MA/Avon Old Farms), who scored once and assisted on two other goals.
