Seniors Matt Nelligan (Pingree School/Rowley, Mass.) and Logan Bobzien (Arapahoe/Centennial, Colo.) both posted career-best scoring performances and combined for 17 points.
Nelligan recorded six goals and three assists and Bobzien contributed three goals and five assists. Junior Alec Seifert (Duxbury/Duxbury, Mass.) added three goals and an assist and four other Bombers each scored a pair of goals: senior Kevin Bush (Arapahoe [Colo.]/St. George Island, Fla.), senior Mike Nowak (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa), junior Tim Pfeffer (Penfield/Penfield) and freshman Mike Silipo (Williston Northampton/Deerfield, Mass.).
Junior Ben Connery (Homer/Homer) made his first career start in goal and stopped seven shots in three and a half quarters. Freshman David Gal (Loomis Chaffee [Conn.]/Amherst, Mass.) and Collin Meadow (Downington East/Downington, Pa.) both made two saves.
The Bombers return to Pennsylvania Saturday, playing a 1 p.m. game at Scranton. |
