The Game Story:
Aston, PA- Neumann College was looking for a second PAC win in men's lacrosse. They were able to find it today when they faced former conference powerhouse Misericordia University at Bruder Fields in Aston, PA. The teams were tied at the half but the Knights were able to pull away from Cougars as a result of won face-offs, a smart offense and sound goaltending.

The Cougars opened the scoring of the match when Jared Smith floated a pass to Dan Jaques to sneak the ball past junior net minder Jake Boulay (Cape St. Claire, MD/Broadneck.) Neuman quickly responded with an unassisted goal from honorable mention PAC player of the week, Kyle Gardner (Collegeville, PA.) Both teams would go on to score four more goals in the first half, including two from Matt Toth (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville,) tying the score at five.

The Knights didn't really get going until near the end of the game when they were fueled by forced turnovers on a tired Cougar squad. Steve Lis (Turnersville, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) received a pass from the speedy Richardson Louis (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) who quickly redirected the ball to Matt Toth. Toth send the ball home, giving the Knights the lead and getting his fourth goal of the day. Louis connected with Gardner for the Knight-cap of the match.

Boulay finished the match with nineteen saves on the win. Senior Jason Kahn (Wilmongton, DE/Concord) finished with two goals and two assists and Gardner tallied two goals, an assist and four ground balls.

The Knights will head to Poughkeepsie, NY on April 19th to face-off against Vassar College for a 2:00PM game.
