The Game Story:
Freshman attacker Karl Zimmerman (Utica, Mich./Brother Rice) scored to break an 8-8 tie and give 11th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan the lead, but 7th-ranked Lynchburg answered with 6 straight goals and went on to a non-conference win on Saturday at Selby Field.

After a 7-7 halftime tie, senior attacker Jarred Law (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe) scored to give the Bishops an 8-7 lead, but Lynchburg evened the game on a goal by Brian Kemper just 24 seconds later.

Zimmerman's goal gave Ohio Wesleyan a 9-8 lead with 9:40 left in the third quarter.

The Hornets tied the game on a score by A.J. Tinklepaugh with 5:48 left in the period, then took the lead for good on a goal by Brian McCulloch at the 4:23 mark. Lynchburg stretched its lead to 11-9 with a goal by Johnny Black with 2:09 left in the third quarter.

Ohio Wesleyan was assessed a 3-minute equipment penalty at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and the Hornets used the man advantage to tally a goal by Tyler Tolson in the first minute of the quarter. Stephen Weis and Black added scores to give Lynchburg a 14-9 lead with 9:46 to go.

Zimmerman answered with a goal to bring the Bishops within 14:10 with 8:06 to play, but that was as close as Ohio Wesleyan would come.

Zimmerman and sophomore midfielder Chris Eccles (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) each compiled 3 goals and an assist for Ohio Wesleyan.

Black led the Hornets with 5 goals and an assist, Weis had 3 goals and an assist and McCulloch finished with 3 goals.

Freshman Alex Crawford (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter) had 9 saves for Ohio Wesleyan, while Garrett Curran made 14 saves for Lynchburg
