The Game Story:
ROANOKE, Va. (March 2) - The #18 ranked Cabrini College men's lacrosse team upset #4 Roanoke College this afternoon, recording a 10-9 victory. The Cavaliers open the 2008 season with a 1-0 mark.

Sophomore Rich Romanelli led the Cavaliers with three scores and senior Matt McKinney added two goals and one assist. Sophomore Casey Grugan finished with one goal and one assist and junior Scott Reimer set up a pair of goals.

In the goal, junior Kevin Chenoweth stopped 12 shots, with four key saves coming in the fourth quarter.

After a 1-1 tie score, Roanoke briefly went in front by one score, their only lead of the game, before Cabrini answered and stayed ahead for the remainder of the contest.

After the Cavaliers held a 7-3 lead at the break, Roanoke got within one score (10-9) with 4:47 remaining in the game.

Cabrini will return to action on Saturday, March 8 when its faces Greensboro College at 1 p.m.
