The Game Story:
Owings Mills, MD- Ninth ranked Villa Julie hosted the second round of the Capital Athletic Conference as they played Mary Washington. In previous play, the Mustangs conquered the Eagles 15-9. The Mustangs maintained their dominance of the field and won today’s match 15-5.

Villa took an immediate lead in the first minute of the first quarter with a goal from Nicola Bevacqua assisted by Steve Kazimer. The Mustangs continued to score seven consecutive goals until Mary Washington put themselves on the board with 2:58 remaining. At the end of the quarter, the Mustangs were up 8-1.

The Mustangs extended their lead in the second quarter with four unanswered goals, to go into the second half leading 12-1.

In the third quarter, the Mustangs scored two goals, one from Kevin Donnelly and the other from Drew Brady.

As all of the Mustangs had an opportunity to play in the final quarter, Richard Ford tallied the lone goal for Villa. He was followed by four Mary Washington goals for a final of 15-5.

Donnelly led Villa with four goals. Kazimer enabled multiple goals with six assists and one goal for himself. Also adding to the Mustang victory were Ford with two goals and two assists; Tyler Maguire, Greg Furshman, and Brady with two goals each; and Bevacqua and Shane Clift with one goal each.

The Mustangs now move on to the final round of the CAC Championship, where they will face #1 Salisbury. The game is scheduled for Sunday, April 20. Check the website for updated information concerning place and time.
