Sophomore midfielder Fred Morse (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford-Sutherland) opened the scoring at the 10:41 mark in the first period on an unassisted goal. The Presidents responded with three straight goals, but junior defender Colin Fadrowski (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill) struck at 12:30 in the second period to lead off a six-goal barrage by the Crusaders.
Washington and Jefferson added two more to start the fourth period, then Susquehanna fired home four more goals, three straight in a period of 42 seconds by junior attack Greg Norris (St. Catharines, ON/Dennis Morris). Both teams traded goals in the waning minutes of the game, Susquehanna's coming once again from Norris, who led the Crusaders on the day with four goals and three assists.
