The Game Story:
READING, Pa. (April 5) - The #9 Cabrini College men's lacrosse team held Alvernia College scoreless in the second half as the Cavaliers recorded a 24-2 win this afternoon. The Cavaliers improve to 8-2 overall and remain undefeated in the PAC while the Crusaders fall to 1-6, 1-2 in the conference.

Junior Scott Reimer led all scorers with a season-best seven goals and added one assist. Four other players scored two goals a piece.

Sophomore Casey Grugan and freshman Scott Cloud recorded two assists. Freshman Mike Gurenlian registered six ground balls and junior Glen Gale forced three turnovers.

The Cavaliers held a 59-9 advantage in shots and won 28 of the 30 draw controls.

Cabrini built a 9-0 lead before Alvernia scored with fifty-two seconds left in the first period and held a 13-2 lead at the break.

The Cavaliers held Alvernia scoreless for the duration of the contest in the 22-goal win.

Junior Bobby Chambers earned the win, playing the first 30 minutes of the contest, while stopping two shots. Junior Kevin Chenoweth and freshman Sean Reynold both saw minutes in the second half and each stopped one shot.

Cabrini hosts Centenary College on Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m.
