The Game Story:
Aurora, NY – Marywood got goals from nine different players as the Pacers cruised to an 18-2 victory over Wells in a non-conference game between two first-year programs Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Pacers improved to 8-3 on the season while the Express remain winless in ten games.

Marywood built an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter as William Roerden (Warwick, NY) sandwiched a pair of goals around Stephen Klepfer (Binghampton, NY) tally each tallied Adam Neider’s goal at the 6:15 mark trimmed the Pacers lead to 3-1, but Jamie Beagen (Patchogue, NY) scored just 32 seconds later to start a run of 15 consecutive Marywood goals that spanned until just 4:53 was left to play in the final quarter.

The visiting Pacers scored six times in the second quarter as Brian Roerden (Warwick, NY) netted a pair before brother William completed his hat-trick off a David Sarubbi (Pleasantville, NY) assist with 5:32 to play in the half. Beagen and Nick Parks (Emmaus, PA) tallied 16 seconds apart before George DeAngelo (Bethlehem, PA) netted a marker of his own.

Marywood would tack on five more goals in the third quarter as George Downey IV (Palmyra, PA) found net at the 7:55 mark and Parks did the same 33 seconds later. Klepfer, William Roerden, and Drew Lozoskie (Forest Hill, MD) would score before the third period ended.

Anthony Tuscai (West Chester, PA) added a goal and an assist in a fourth quarter in which Brian Roerden and Parks each netted their third goals of the game. Matthew Crandall’s unassisted goal with 4:53 remaining ended the Pacers’ 15-goal run and capped the scoring for the afternoon.

The Pacers dominated all facets of the game and held a 57-17 advantage in shots and a 53-33 edge in groundballs. The Pacers also won 17 of the game’s 24 face-offs.
