The Game Story:
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Led by a strong defensive effort from one of the all-time best goalkeepers in Major League Lacrosse history, the two-time defending MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage posted their third win in the last four games with a 16-14 victory over the Boston Cannons at Harvard Stadium on Thursday night.

Goalkeeper Brian Dougherty was named as the Bud Light MVP after posting a season-high 28 saves, including 15 in the first half.

While Dougherty led the Philadelphia defense, Roy Colsey was sparking the Barrage offense. Returning to the lineup after a two-game absence, the former Syracuse University midfielder scored three goals with two assists while three other players added a "hat trick."

Matt Alrich, who is enjoying a career year for the Cannons, led Boston with three goals and three assists in a losing effort while rookie Paul Rabil tallied his third consecutive four-goal game, including a two-point marker.

Mikey Powell, who is the reigning Offensive Player of the Week, scored three goals with two assists in the loss for Boston, which had its three-game win streak snapped.

The Barrage led by 12-6 at the intermission and earned the victory despite being outshot by a commanding 68-36 margin.
