The Game Story:
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - While the Rochester Rattlers had two players combine to score 12 goals against New Jersey on Saturday night, it was another player who got the final say as Rochester beat the clock to earn its sixth win of the year with an 18-17 victory over the Pride at Yurcak Field.

Gavin Prout scored the game-winning goal off a feed from Casey Powell with just one second left in regulation, breaking a 17-17 tie. The win moves the Rattlers into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia Barrage and Boston Cannons with three games left in the regular season.

Jeff Zywicki was named as the Bud Light MVP after scoring a career-high seven goals, including five in the first half to set a new Rochester record for goals in a half.

While Zywicki provided most of the fireworks, Joe Walters added a five-goal performance in addition to two assists in the victory.

John Grant, Jr. and Colin Doyle also had two goals and an assist while midfielder Alex Smith set a Rochester record with 27 face-off wins.

Rookie attackman Matt Danowski led the Pride in the loss with a career-high five goals while Merrick Thomson posted three goals with two assists. Making his return to the lineup, goalkeeper Rob Scherr made 17 saves.

The Pride outshot Rochester by a 50-45 margin.
