I need a new head I play middie and need some suggestions.

What would you suggest for attack this or the proton power?

This is a pretty decent head. I hated it at first and only had it because it was really still and i like stiff heads on faceoffs. However, after I restrung it a few times and pinched it (using steam from boiling water) it was pretty sick. I had amazing hold and i recommend it for anybody for any position. the only reason i dont use it now is because my friends dumb ass got it stolen and im cheap and dont wanna pay more money. To sum it all up, its hard to string but if you can get it right its amazing and it doesnt warp at all and is all around dirty if you pinch it, good accuracy great shooting and passing.

in my opoinion i think that this is the best head in the game. i say this because it is not too pinched so you dnt have to worry about it before every game. also i think this beacuse the trechnology of putting the sidewalls up allowing you to have a bigger pocket is brilliant and works amazingly. it is by far the best head in the game

i got this head with a rockit pocket and i know they dont give u much of a pocket, but that sucked, it was like having a girls stick...so i restrung it, decently, and i still didnt see why this is worth so much. stick with proton powers, clutches, and for all u NCAA people out there, super powers. they're all around 80 bucks. take from a guy who has owned a clutch, a proton power, and an asset. and ive heard nothing but good stuff about the super power

I just got this hea and it's amazing I restrung it and it's got the best feel in a stick i've ever felt!! The pocket is wonderful. This thing is similar to the voyce in a way but it's something tottally new at the same time. I would reccommend this head to anyone!! Great job to brine I was hesitant at first but I'm glad I got it!!!!

Honestly this looks awesome. The sidewall holes up high makes the deepest pockets ever legal. This is genius idea... if only it wasnt so wide. Isn the primer like this too though? with the holes up on the sidewall

This is a great head. If you get 6 diamond mesh on it, in my opinoin it makes it a lot better. It gives you more hold and your shot goes where ever u want it to go. I am a middie on varsity...im a freshmen and i got 34 goals with this on the season. it is very strong so it can take a beating if ur att and won't brake. This is really a great head don't listen to other idiots who don't own the stick and give it bad review it

i wont give it a bad review, but i can give the clutch the same attributes, it doesnt brake, a kid on my team has had it for two years without replacing it. it throws exactly on the dime with a players pocket and a midset pocket, which i have, and it shoots like a rocket.

the big thing about this head is the amount of hold it has. The clutch is a very nice head i also have that but when you get this you will feel the difference in the hold. you get an extra 1/2 inch of pocket. i will admitt that it does not shoot as fast but it all depends on how u string it. I am very good at stringing...the "team stringer" and within a few tries i had this head a little better then a cluth...i think. It is very stiff and my head got slamed yesterday in a game and it bent my screw in my stick not my head...but now i can't get my head off cause the screw is stuck..haha

I personally haven't seen how the extra depth helps retention or control at all when the pocket doesn't actually extend any further than a normal one, which means that distance from the center of the shaft to the ball is still the same so control should be pretty much the same as a normal stick. They already did this with the Hype a long time ago and I didn't notice any difference when it was strung regularly and when it was strung in it's special way that is very similar to this. However, I have been proven wrong by things that shouldn't work before (STX crankshafts) and I won't argue with anyone who says that it works.

The sidewalls aren't meant to make the pocket deeper, but rather, to lift the sides of the mesh a little more so there is more mesh touching the ball when it's in the pocket, therefore increasing friction between the mesh and the ball and keeping the ball in better. This is known as the channel. The Asset works. I have one.

i have one too. i put a pita pocket in mine and it has mass amounts of hold.

i have the helix and its super hard to string without whip and with good whip is this tough to string with a deep pocket and throws good?

i just picked this up and yes the sidewall holes is where you string it. thats why its called lacrosses largest legal pocket because it is strung about a half inch higher on the sidewall so you have more room for pocket depth. its utterly amazing

I own this head. I think it is great, I personally like it better than my clutch because it has the same accuracy and you can make a much nicer pocket with much more hold. This head is very stiff, which makes it use full for defense. This head has great accuracy and superb hold. I play Attack but,I would recommend this head for all positions. So if you got the money get one... and don't listen to the other idiots on the reviews they are all just immature and wish they were cool enough to have one...

i have an asset and I think it works great. It is very stiff, and not too heavy. It depends what position u play but I would say either this or the evo ti if u r looking for a stiff head.

It's totally worth the money. The sidewall holes give this head SO much hold, it's incredible. It's on par with the franchise and the clutch. It's stiffer than both of them though.

this head is fantastic! i would say that it is on par at least with the clutch and the franchise... it pretty much takes what is good about them and adds more hold!! overall it is a very good head. this is the stiffest head ive ever had and its pretty light too... granted it is no truth. solid.

I think a good head for shooting is the cyber pro for sure, but this is an all around stik no matter wat these user ratings say, i think its mostly how you string them that will make one better than the other but I would say they are both great sticks.

big fan of brine but this is sad. not really there fault though, 2010 rules pretty much destroyed everything that has been designed into lacrosse heads since 2003. im all for leveling the playing field but they should have gave the players a little bit more "room to work with" so to speak. i would wait till next year to buy your 2010 head, i'm feeling a revision to the rules...

youve probly never used this its very good. just cuz the pic shows it being wide doesnt mean it is crap. first of all when you string it up the pocket makes it pinched the same way that when you put a ball in the backside of your head it is much tighter. also dont assume a head is bad because it isnt pinched ther are plenty of heads that arent pinched that are good. also there are many other factors when choosing a head not just how crazy pinched it is. dont talk about equipment you have never seen before cuz when you make up some lie some one is going to call you on it and youll feel like a total deu!@#

I have this head. It is a great pinch, legal, and the high string holes are built for a higher and bigger pocket. It is worth every penny in my opinion and you idiots give it ratings on one of the most popular lacrosse superstore websites and you havent even used it! I meant to say so worth the money, but i hit enter. Anyways, I got this head with some of the money i earned over winter break. At first, I was skeptical of course, but I found that it's a better head that people are giving it credit for. The sidewalls do actually help with ball retention since it lets your form a more channeled pocket. That then allows for a wider face which will help for the 2010 rules. Another thing I have to say is that the head is stiffer than anything I have ever owned, which includes my collection of original edges, X2s, cyber pros, revo pros and any other defensive head you can think of. The head is no truth in terms of weight, but it's no bionic either. I'd say it's right in the middle in terms of head weights. If it's too much for you i'll give you a secret of mine that makes the head feel much lighter. When you lift weights, it makes you stronger, which then makes the head feel lighter. Not just that, but it makes you shoot faster and it helps you pick up chicks. It's amazing, it really works. So get this head, you won't regret it. I hope this review helped

no dude this is prolly on of the sickest new heads i have seen out. the raised sidewall holes is so that you can have the deepest mesh pocket ever. huge increase in hold and a tighter pocket on a wide than you could ever get. sure you can always get a really tight channel, but acheiving a high pocket with a sicknasty tight channel is actually really really hard to pull off. this head is also super stiff. actually look at the head in person and play around with it before you bash it like that

I have this and play attack, I might end up using this this spring instead of my clutch or voyce, the wide face makes catching easy but the raised sidewalls make it feel like a pinched head, It sort of like a different way to get the flared widewall effect. So yea it has the possibility to work as a good attack head, It was probably made for defense but if u like it then use it.

this head is excellent is durablity and fonominal. its middle way of being half pinched/half wide is great. i reccomend this to all positions becuase of just how great it is to all.

Looks like the Brine Rocket. Seems to have the same pinch (not very much) but looks thinner on the scoop. Stringing is the only apparent difference. Brine rocket= $30 head. Asset=$120. theres gotta be somethin besides the string holes here its probably a waste.

the brine rocket is totally a v shape and the sides on the rocket are atleast 6 slanted right triangles. rofl rofl

the brine rocket definitely has a brine symbol as the sidewall, and is shaped similarly to this. (rocket looks a little wider to me)

I played catch with one today the the mll semis. I was skeptical about it and though it was a gimmick. I was wrong, the stringing holes are actually more efficient then alot of the normal heads out there. The point is that even though the ball doesnt actually go any more offset then any other head, throwing and catching feels like u have a bag on the stick, the whole sidewalls thing is meant for throwing/catching not ball control like u all think

With the bag comes whip and tighter channels because the mesh is strung to the inside of the head it was designed for increased ball control and a way around the '10 rules. Also it's stiff as a mother!

Clutch is still better
