I've used mine for 2 seasons so far and haven't had any problems with the throat holes breaking

do the throat holes break? I've had two clutches my entire high school career and both of them the throat holes have broke on me so i was curios as if this is still a problem?

this is the best head I've ever played with. it throws and shoots perfectly.

awesome head i got it after i broke my warrior stiffi and never had a problem with it. its easy to string and has good control

i play attack, and feed more off my dodges than score, i currently have a clutch with 20 MM and i like the ball control of the clutch, but the mesh has a lot of whip and throws terribly...the only good part about it is that it has ridiculous hold... should i get another clutch and get 15 MM or should i try a franchise with 15 MM thanks

Ok to be honest, the Brine Cluth is a great head, but it has a major problem: The bottom of it where the pocket string is tied and breaks like nothing. When I played with a Clutch, I caught the ball just fine, but catching fast passes caused the pressure on the plastic to snap. So may I say it once and only once! Don't get this. I have yet to try the Clutch X and see if they fixed it at all, but that should only matter for the people like me playing NCAA.

If you pay attention, there are many many comments concerning the durability of this head. I bought this in March and it was broken in a month. The plastic at the bottom that has your pocket string breaks if you catch passes coming at you too fast. Even if you are a great player, a fast whipped ball will break the plastic like nothing. Not to mention the fact that this is now NCAA illegal. I would go with an STX Super Power. That head tears ppl apart and doesnt break unless you freeze it.

just got mine a couple weeks ago great head for shooting passing groundballs my friend uses his for face offs and he loves it downside after awhile it starts to warp string the stick yourself too the factory stringing is horrible hope this helped

The proton power is a little bit more flexible (for face-offs) because the new clutches are thicker plastic, but overall definitely clutches for GBs, ball control, throwing, shooting, everything. so definitely clutch.

besides the oracle the proton is the worst head i have ever seen. its so flimsy. it sucks

if ur team colors are blue and white then get blue wit white mesh if you team colors are neither blue or white then get white

Its not the head that makes you shoot faster it YOU and how YOU string it. But if i were you i would get the clutch. Awesome head in general.

oh really i wasnt aware that it was me who needs to shoot fast and not the head, dont be an idiot. i was just asking which head has the best potential for being able to rip shots with.

For some reason my shoot is a little faster with the PP2.

The clutch is an awesome head for many reasons. I have 3 at the time and i love them.

would it be good for defense/LSM? I am actually ok with a pinched head because i have really good stick handling. my current head is a mojo and I am also using a an stx scandium pro. is it stiff and would in be durable enough? reply.

the clutch is not a really good defence stick because it doesnt warp well. so it might break easily when you are checking

My friend is kin of new to the lacrosse and asked me what stick he should get. He plays middy, hes just startin to do faceoffs, and he he likes to take shots.

The Clutch would be good beacuse the pinch is not crazy, also the PP2 is better for Faceoff's.

I'm going to be a freshman next year. And I am probably going to be playing varsity first year. It's come down to getting Scandium swizzle/Clutch (custom pattern dye) or a new PP (Yellow) on a scandium. help?

Try out both heads man and see which one you like better. Like fom a buddy or something but I prefer the Clutch. But both heads are he two best on the market by far.

I already have a PP and my brother has a Clutch and I use the clutch for practice but in games the PP has the faster shot. and more accurate. I might have to keep a PP but i have another 6 months before practice. so i have time.

This world is split between two types of people. The people who like the Clutch and people who like the Proton Power. I personally like both heads a lot but I find the Clutch a little better but if they didn't make the Clutch I would use the PP2 no question! So try both of them out and see which one you like better. It's all about PERSONAL PREFERENCE!

it depends, how much do you want to spend and what kind of shaft (grip).

if you dont care about weight then get clutch+vanadium grip its what i got and its a pretty sick combo

I have the clutch i take faceoffs sometimes and it is flexible but goes right back to place and dosent warp iit also has good ball control

scoop is good but the scoop on an evo is better. i would still get this though because it is much more durable than the evo

clutch,it is a great head, light, and throws great, and pretty stiff. the answer pro is just like the regular answer, it is not stiff, not great with ground balls. if you want the answer pro just get the answer.
