i saw a video on youtube that said brine was making a second vesion of the clutch and making an x vesion of it they mold it twice (its not rubber like the duce) and it come white but the top part and middle section of the sidewall and above the strings is colered, its coming out in may but i dont know the exact date

dude according to your profile you're in middle school, so the new 2010 head rules don't apply to you, you don't need to buy this head. you could if you really wanted, but it makes much more sense for you to get the regular brine clutch, not the clutchX. although, seeing as you play defense, really the best move would be for you to get an STX Xcalibur. that is a money D head.

This head allows for stringing that will give you unbelievable ball control. I have soft mesh on this head with a shooting string, and my ball control is superb as well as my accuracy. Ive herd stories about people snapping it if they string it "wrong" well, thats because you suck at stringing haha. Its kinda weighs more than most heads but that allows for more durability. The wideness of the mouth allows it to be NCAA legal that why its different than the regular clutch. Id say the only advantage of this over the cluth is catching, because obviously the more width the mouth of your head has, the easier it will be to catch. Overall i highly recommend this head.

Great head super accurate and it is nice for faceoffs (real stiff). I recommend however, the bottom cracks with double sidewall. But it is my favorite head.

well the regular clutch is narrower. but if you want a 2010 NCAA legal head, either the clutch x, reebok career, or warrior spyne, are all pretty narrow. the stx super power is narrow too, but its not as stiff as the others. im just assuming you were looking for a narrow head. i personally use the razer x. great head

had 3 brand new clutch x' broke all 3 at practice on saturday, if you get this head do not string double sidewall it will crack at the bottom.

guys just broke my brine clutch loved the head however is the clutch x as good or if not better? ive noticed at the tip it seems to be alot deeper than the clutch is it better for groud balls? i play lsm all i do is ground ball after ground ball lol

the main thing that is different between the clutch and the clutch-X are the clutch is a little wider to make it ncaa legal, the stringing holes on the side are a different shape and the ball stop is different. love this head swithced to it from a razor 2.0 and is so much more power. i think its best with a high pocket, so do on the people on my team, you get a he** of a lot of pwer and accuracty behind it
