I played my entire senior year of HS with the Edge Superlite, I played 95% of game-clock at LSM & D for 23 games and the head finally warped/snapped in the Championship game. I just ordered two new Edges after using Evo3s for the past several months.
From what I remember:
Terrific for GBs
Great pockets (for experienced stringers) - I used a Mid-High 6D pocket
Great ball retention
Extremely painful (for attack men and midfielders) on poke checks
Incredibly durable
*Note* These qualities were for the lighter, weaker, Superlite addition

Ive been using it as my offseason head for face offs. Its great when its boiled and has been worked on numerously. |

 | - JDstringing 1/21/13 reply
It's a good, head, but i couldn't get a good pocket that I like in it and I'm a pretty good stringer but its a pretty stiff and a very nice head I would only recommend it to close defense or LSM maybe attack |

I bought this head not realizing it was made for defence, i play middie/attack, it works great hassent whorped or shown any breakage. it has alot more pinch then it looks but does not compare to the clutch. Overall a great head. |

 | - ThomasLee 6/21/12 reply
Good attack head? I'm switching from LSM and I want a good stiff head for riding defense if they get the ball, since I'll be the best at that coming from a defense background. I usually use the Revo Pro X6, but since its discontinued I want to find a good alternative. THANKS |

yea my coach has used the same one for 3 years and it hasnt warped and my friend at middie uses it all the time |

I have a old edge not the ice and I want to sell it. so can someone tell me what it is worth.
Thanks |

 | - RĘ~ŁÅX 6/07/12 reply
Go with the edge. It's the most narrow out of the x10 and xcaliber. My x10 flexed so much you could basically not it. The xcaliber after a whole will warp. Stick with the edge |

I want a new head, i had the revo pro 2.0 and it got too flexible and broke, i'm looking for a good d head that will stay stiff, and have little pinch. Should i get the edge, the xcalibur or the x10? |
|
 | - Scott Pribe 5/14/12 reply
would this head be good for middie? i just need a head that's durable, has ball control and accuracy. |
|
 | - Trueillinix18 5/08/12 reply
The Edge is an amzing head! I got it out of the box yesterday right before a game and by the end of the game I had 7 ground balls (I play LSM) and created a massive front pocket. Ground balls with this are easy as hell, stiffest head I have( I have the Proton U and Evo 2) and it's perfect for close D to throw nasty checks without wrap. Factory strining on this is pretty decent I like it and it's not that expensive. Highly recommended for anybody at any level. #Gamechanger |

|
 | | | - dpolejack 1/13/12 reply
edge will stay stiff longer and last u much longer. proton u it too wide. not good enough scoop. edge is amazing for gb's. easier to string too. |
|
 | | - southDpole19 1/28/12 reply
having an edge myself and having seen a teammates proton U up close, edge is better. stiffer, more durable, more pinched, more stringing holes. all around better |
|
 | | - southDpole19 3/24/12 reply
I play in florida where it can be 100 degrees sometimes, I used an edge all summer and fall in the hot weather down in florida and 20 degrees in maryland, this thing will not warp or snap, period |

Get the Cobra X its really good. Its really light and stiff, but strong at the same time. I prefer the cobra X its hard to get it on the swizzbeat you have to get a hair dryer and heat the bottom to get the shaft on. I dont know about the Wonderboy or the Katana.
Hope this helps. |
