I got this head for this season and it rocks perfect for D, Crease Attack, and just about any postions. Makes cathing so easy and is extremly sturdy. All around perfect head for 2010 season

I have an E3 currently and I love it but a teammate is offering me a Razer Spyne for 50 bucks. I also had the original Razer in the past and loved it also. Can anybody tell me which is the better head for D?

e3 is more pinched heavy and not as durable get the edge especially for D

tipicly brine heads fit on birne shafts same goes for stx heads on stx shafts ect. Almost all shafts fit on all heads. i dont know why u woud even ask this question.

this doesnt fit on my swizzbeat. (which is a brine shaft) it doesnt fit my wonderboy. but it does, somehow, fit my platinum alloy. it doesnt even fit my al600 pro. its so weird...

Yea its the same thing they sometimes call it the edge x so people know that its legal for 2010 play at the NCAA level of play

you really dont need a good head for lsm unless its ur only position cuz once ur team has the ball u are suppose to get off the field for a short stick. but if its ur only position i would say the edge cuz the gospel is really pinched and i heard its weak and if the T.I. bends it might get stuck like that and thats alot of $$

No, not that I can see, but there are some jagged teeth along the curves on both sides for about 2 inches.

The best head ever produced besides the original excalibur and the razer. The orignial xcalibur had to evolve and the first gen razer broke a lot (i went thru 4 in one season all breaking in the same place). The edge is it, glad to see it being remade from the original mold

I've been playing D since 5th grade and im a senior now about to play lax at a D1 school next year. I've been through just about every head you can go through to find a solid fit. The Original Edge, Original X2 and Original Proton are by far the best. I'm happy to say that i now include this new 2010 Edge to the mix. I currently have 4 and i have never been happier, they hold the ball beautifully if strung right, are decent in weight, and are extremely stiff. I recommend this to all poles out there, there is no better head on the market.

THIS HEAD IS SO MUCH WIDER THAN IT LOOKS. its a great d head, very stiff, light weight, nice offset, easy to string, and overall prolly the best d head out there. go get it NOW!

it fits on my platinum alloy but not my wonderboy and not my swizzbeat. it has the exact octagonal shape like any alloy 6000 shaft. get a shaft with kung-fu grip if you wanna get this head

Yeah so im starting my first season this spring. Im playing highschool JV and I have this head on my kryptolite d pole, and I'd say it's a pretty good combination. Im not entirely sure that this head is the BEST choice for D though. It is nice and wide so its a bit easier to catch. It's ery stiff at the beginning, but it softens up a bit, as ive had the head for about two months. I was wodnering if maybe I should reconsider this head, because i am starting to regret not buying the warrior revo pro a bit..

Wouldn't go with this for mid cause of how wide it is unless your going into college but its pretty stiff and would not be a good head for face offs

I strung in a piece of broken in hard mesh into this stick and it throws great. I put in a nylon weave for the top shooting string followed by two rolled shooters and the a weaved U for the shooters. Also dont feel like you need to use every hole on the side walls. Hope it helps

Evo spyne is a great head for any posistion it can poke check amazingly and has a great pinch and it forms a sick pocket. Get that you wouldn't be disappointed

this head has great control. usually after about 4 games my heads get flimsy but this has stayed stiff its a really awesome head

Go with a evo spyne. It super stiff and has a perfect pinch. Get that

Ok Here is a review so far of my new edge. 1. It is light!! Way lighter than the original edge, it balances well on my f22 pole. 2. Strung with a mid pocket it provides great ball control and feel. Speed is there, but this is more do to stringing than the head. 3. GB's are a little harder for me. I switched to this from a torque. Just gonna take some getting used to. Overall this is a great head. Stiff, strong and light. I would recommend this to any player out there.

I'm going to college and since a lot of the good heads are illegal now I need a little help. I'm thinking this head is probably my best bet, but if anyone knows any head that might be slightly better for whatever reason that'd be great. Must be NCAA 2010 legal.

if you are getting a new head cuz of the rule change the evo spyne and answer pro are still illegal but i would go with the super power for an lsm. edge is better for close D.

the E3 is just a pinched edge this is an old head i guess there just bringing it back because of all the rule changes

Well i've pinched using the boiling method, its the least risky and the easiest, but if u want a piched edge then just get an E3 its an edge with a tight pinch

To pinch it throw some zip ties or string on it then blow dry it for like 20 minutes and throw it in the freezer

I don't know what team it is you play for, but it definitely is not Notre Dame. First off, your grammar is horrible; second, you wouldn't ask about a stick that is illegal in NCAA play. That being said, get the new Edge. It is superior to the E3 in every way. Make sure to change your profile so you don't look like a clown.

this or cyber pro for d/lsm??

yah i literally just broke my cyber pro yesterday on a ground ball scrum, but that was after a year of consistent play with it. I'm also a LSM and the Cyber pro is a great head especially for that kind of play. Its wide enough for picking of passes and has a tight enough facepinch for control. Its pretty durable and throws mean checks too. I'm probably not going to get myself another, and I'm leaning towards an Edge myslef, only beacuase i used to play with an E3 and i liked it a lot. If either the cyber pro or the Edge doesnt satisfy you, I'd look into a revo pro or an excaliber.

i just got it. its very wide and its 5.0 onces unstrung so its very light. its wide and stiff and it honestly might be the best d head ever made. it is very easy to make a deep pocket with hold with it. get it

this is a sick d head i used it 4 a good 6 years n its very durable but its really wide and the crosslace breaks really easily. Thats why with the amount of money i spent buyin new crosslace it turned out 2 be cheaper 2 just get a new head.

i was so happy when i got it cause its my first time playing with a some what decent stick. its great at first then it SUCKS. i mean when your dodging you feal like you have no control over the ball and it could roll out any second. i got hard mesh i bet its better with monster mesh or 6 diamond but DAMN i got no control over the ball the pocket isnt formed to good and its just plain weird. thx for you time :)

At first I baked it, but I recently bought an E3. It pretty much addresses many if not all of the problems of the original Edge.

i was thinking of getting the edge and pinchin like a matrix but i heard the edge is stronger so do you think that its smarter to sim ply get a matrix thats weaker or get a stronger edge and pinch it for better control?

this head is the man with corner pocket. corner pocket only really works on a really unpinched head. like a wizard and proton are too pinched for c pocket. corner pocket is just controlling the ball better so it saves u some $$$ to not go out buy an edge x.

this is a great head i got two of these i pinched one of them, as pinched as a matrix, and i compared them pinched is sooooo good for offence great control and shots tons of vrasity players have this in pinched and the original one is great for D very strong, hurts on checks

this stiick is a great stick for attack it was my first stick and i did great it has great shot speed and good accury. in my first year i scored 30 goals in 10 games.. so this is a great stick.. and if the pocket is bad u fix it u fruit cake u dont whine that u r to lazy to fix your pocket it is probly taht u have no clue how to!

For attackmen a heavy head is really good, if you have a light shaft. It's physics the head comes down faster, making your throw/shot faster

i used the edge on my d-dtick last year and it kicks ass! It does everyting it needs to for defense, it's durable and not to expensive. great stick.
