I had a neon green swizzle that didnt match my high school team (obviously), so i took a knife and literally chipped of all the color and grip, and it feels like a kryptolyte and is an insanely light shaft. just an idea for anyone out there who has a swizzle with a color they dont want anymore. But its pointless now because they came out with the Brine Scandium lol |

Is the Swizz a good shaft for box lax? I have a Krypto blam but I'm looking for something with a bit more grip and durability |
|
|
 | - jnpeenan 1/29/13 reply
I've had it since it came out. It's a little heavier then some other sticks but it about the same as a light stick with alot of tape. Very durable. My one compliant is that the grip wears after the first couple of week. It'll peel but thats good since it's to sticky when it's new. |

 | - waylax96 1/13/13 reply
i really want this shaft, but does anyone know how Remove the grip? not a fan of grip |
|
 | - almostimpact 11/30/12 reply
what i usually do is steal my opponents head and just tape it on mine, always works!

This is an amazing stick. (brine blueprint) rocked it for 3 seasons. careful on slap checks as with any d pole. very light and great control from grip pattern. also turned many heads with the neon green ;) So good I have 3 of them! 5 stars |
|
 | | | - Rogersh 7/29/12 reply
Also just started using the 2012 same stick different grip pattern. So naturally same review |

ice, H2, and the scandium pro are a better than this and are cheaper. |

 | - k_prkr 6/19/12 reply
Why does the defense shaft cost like $20 more than the attack, should cost a lot more. Just buy the defense shaft and cut it in half. |
|
 | | - lax4life360 7/10/12 reply
because if you cut it i half one stick will have nothing but grip and the other will have little to no grip |
|
 | | - SwagerificGoalie 7/14/12 reply
I never thought of that that's actually a really good way to save money on shafts. |

 | | - TylerP 6/09/12 reply
Ohh yeah this Brine 2012 is the Best shaft ever. no joke i have used this shaft throughout my season until like the last couple games because i bought the wonderboy. the wonderboy feels a lot heavier when you play with it and the grip blows. my hand would always slide and stuff, plus it feels weird with the gloves on which is my opinon. go for the scandium pro 2012 |

Stx is making the most quality handels right now consistantly. I would recomend SciTi Pro and Scandium Force right now over any other stick. Just helping out |

Alright cool i'll look into it. I've heard it was a hella good stick. |
|
 | - reLAXinLAXER 11/04/11 reply
NO I TAKE THAT BACK GET A H2. a kid on my fall ball league just got it and its sooooo light get it with a clutch. h2 is mavericks version of sc ti and its 75 dollars cheaper |
|
 | | - mtewing17 2/12/12 reply
Got an H2 earlier this year, and playing on a varsity travel team, not one dent after fallball and indoor! :) |
|
 | - reLAXinLAXER 11/04/11 reply
either ice with a clutch head, or scandium pro with a super power. ice is cheaper, sc pro would be lighter (i think) |
|
 | - Saintpat123 11/03/11 reply
I'm looking for a light but durable stick, grip isn't a huge deal to me. I have a warrior krypto pro diamond and am liking it a ton but I need a second stick for backup. Deciding between this and a gait ice, but I'm completely open to any suggestions. Also any ideas on combos are appreciated, I play middie and attack. |

there pretty much the same except the pro is a little lighter. if you want to fix that, wrap tape around the swizzle and peel it off and there the same |

I suggest an STX Revolver and a Maverik Phenix for a good rig. Maybe a scandium shaft if youre looking to spend money but the Phenix is AMAZING along wiht the Revolver. Maverik Pads are good, I perfer the zoom d-pads and any of their gloves and shoulder pads. |
|
 | | - Glock850 9/20/11 reply
I found some warrior hitman nation 9.0 lacrosse pads (large) on amazon for 70 $---good buy? or go with the mavs? I had already been looking at their stuff, their gear seems to have really solid reviews and relatively cheap. |

 | - Glock850 9/14/11 reply
Hey, I'm new to lacrosse- I'm from Florida where most folks could care less about it. So I grew up playing football and baseball. My roommate here at college though is from Maryland and loves it though and I wasn't doing anything else so I thought I'd go out for the team after he showed me the ropes and I'm having a lot of fun. So my question is:
I'm gonna play defense and I'm gonna be looking to throw lots of body checks when I get the chance, so I'm looking for a really durable quality stick and head- SUGGESTIONS PLEASE! thanks guys. |
|
 | | | - Glock850 9/15/11 reply
What about shoulder pads/gloves/arm pads- id like them to breathe well and be comfortable but protection is more of a priority with the shoulder pads at least since I'll be checking |
|
 | | | | - reLAXinLAXER 9/15/11 reply
if so, go with whatever shoulder pads u like. i have warrior nation hitmans, and i love them. elbow pads i recommend king arm pads, or lopro d's. for gloves, do u want protection or mobility? |
|
 | | | | | | - Glock850 9/16/11 reply
I'll definitely be looking these up, one more thing if you don't mind- what about a head? I've been looking around and it seems to me that a mohawk or a brine edge are good D heads, what do you think? |
|
 | | | | | | | - reLAXinLAXER 9/17/11 reply
i have a clutch x, but good d heads are the x10, proton u, and i think the professor would go good on a dpole. but wider heads are generally better for d, so just look at the pix in the description |
|
 | | | | | | | | - bulldoglaxer33 9/25/11 reply
but watch out with the x10. its an amazing head and is totally legit until it breaks within a month. so if you can affored a new one every month go for it,otherwise look for something different |
|
 | | | | | | | - reLAXinLAXER 9/17/11 reply
o and make sure its legal for college. it will usually tell you, but make sure just in case |
|
 | | - alexsaylor22 9/20/11 reply
for a d pole, the maverik phenix is awesome, and not too expenisve. the x10 is the best d head for its price and the maverik zooms ROCK! the juice is good too |
|

I'm brand new to lacrosse- but I'm gonna be playing defense, suggestions for a durable quality shaft and head that isn't super expensive would be great. |
