The cpxR becomes only the second lacrosse helmet in the world to utilize patented Seven Technology liner cushioning elements. Cascade's exclusive Seven Technology compresses and laterally displaces energy from a direct impact, the result is an improved compression and faster recovery than traditional EPP liners. The revolutionary SevenTech liner is wrapped in the new R-Series shell, a never-seen-before level of aggression and speed grounded in Cascade DNA. More venting, chine lines and counterbalance. The fit system is the tried and true SPRfit in a high performance HardTail housing, one size fits most. The finishing touch is the classic high performance X- Group component visor, mask and chin system. If you're an elite player who thinks the Pro7 is big & bad....we think you'll find the "R" is just plain bad. Please note due to the recall of the R helmet Cascade there is a little bit of a wait. Cascade should be caught up and running back up and on normal production schedule by early Feb. BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU ORDER A CUSTOM COLORED HELMET AND THEN RETURN IT... THAT CASCADE WILL CHARGE YOU 35$ TO TAKE APART AND RESTOCK THE ITEM SO THAT MONEY WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR RETURN.. This is a standard Cascade Policy... not a policy!!!
This is the new go to helmet from Cascade. The primary feature here is the quick fitting pinch mechanism at the base of the neck roll which allows you to easily adjust the helmet to your head. This is the gold standard for advancing youth players and high school athletes alike. We are even starting to see more and more of these on the collegiate fields for the same reason. Fit it right with this CPXR model.

My friends wanted to shoot a shotgun at my head. Will this keep me safe?
To answer some questions - 3/24/15 reply

The CPX-R and the R helmets only few differences are the safety (the edge going to the plain R) and the tilt, the R is more 'aggressive', while the CPX-R sets a more neutral tone.
Recall - 12/12/14 reply

Is this helmet part of the recall?
cascade cpx-r - 11/11/14 reply

why are their no sizes? my first time buying a helmet; last one was a hand me down. need some guidance. its this completely adjustable? its for a HS sophomore.
One size fits all - 3/24/15 reply

The subject is self explanatory. The helmet fits all players.
cpxr v r - 11/10/14 reply

The R is not much different besides it has more tilt, the facemask is different and it's more protective. The cpxr is also lighter
HELP - 5/05/14 reply

Is the R really all that better than the CPXR. I don't know if i should pay the extra money if it's not all that better.
(no subject) - 5/26/14 reply

The R is the newer version so for safety reasons its better
Lax Helmets - 4/08/14 reply

Chrome vs black - 2/26/13 reply

What is the difference between the chrome and black face mask? which is better? Which should i get?
(no subject) - 3/02/13 reply

Chrome looks way sicker.
(no subject) - 2/01/13 reply

MY team got this in the blacked out version but now the matte black version is out!! I wish i would have waited. But great helmet though
Matte black - 2/07/13 reply

I did same thing but sent helmet to Kameleon Lacrosse to have it painted matte black. It came out awesome. We paid like $65
(no subject) - 11/27/12 reply

Think of this as the Pro7 v2. Like the original, but with some improvements added. The star wheel from the pro7 isn't there, but I never really saw a need for it in my old pro7. You will never grow out of these helmets, unless you have a watermelon for a brain case. A helmet should fit snugly anyway, and should be a little difficult to get off, just like if you were blindsided on a play. If a helmet is loose on your noggin', tighten it up like it should be. In the likely event YOU get chin checked by an opposing helmet, get a different chin strap, preferably one with a gel absorbing insert.
HELP - 10/07/12 reply

Ok I'm 12 and I'm looken for a new helmet and don't now what to get the pro 7 or the cpx-r I have a normal sized head and I really want the cpx-r but I'm scared ill grow out of it even tho i have a normal sized head WHAT DO I DO!!!
lacrosse for life - 10/09/12 reply

you wont grow out of the pro 7 or cpxr. If you do Cascade will re-size it for free.
chin - 8/16/12 reply

at the top for customizing does chin mean chin strap?
(no subject) - 11/27/12 reply

chin means the chin piece, not the strap. and the stock default chin strap is almost always black
chin strap - 8/07/12 reply

white helmet witha chrome mask: is the chin strap it comes with black or white?
Orange? - 6/25/12 reply

Does anyone know if the orange is like a burnt orange or a neon orange? It looks dark orange but I'm looking for a neon orange. Has anyone bought it and knows?
(no subject) - 6/07/12 reply

better then the pro 7 because of the adjustable sizes
(no subject) - 6/01/12 reply

is it just me or do those little things on the side like close up your ears and make it where you can't hear anything?
(no subject) - 8/16/12 reply

No not at all
(no subject) - 5/18/12 reply

AWESOME - 5/13/12 reply

this helmet is awesome for a couple reasons: it looks sick, has 7 tech, and has the SPR fit system in the back. all around great helmet. costs less than the pro7 too.
Help - 5/05/12 reply

what is more comfortable a pro7 or a cpxr
(no subject) - 4/29/12 reply

how big is the "one size fits most" cause i have a pretty big head but i really like this helmet and want it
(no subject) - 5/20/12 reply

it has an adjustable thing on the back it will fit you
great helmet - 4/15/12 reply

I would recommend this helmet to any lacrosse player. With the adjustable Spr fit in the back it fits snug and tight to your head. It will fit anybody if you adjst it to your size. Also the fin in the back adds tilt and blance at the same time. Also flow!!! The seven technology absorbs the hit so you dont feel the hit. Also in a wide variety of masks to choose from. Black, chrome, titanium and gold titanium. And lots of colors. Get this helmet. You won't regret it.

cpxr or pro7 - 4/16/12 reply

I have the cpxr and its great. The pro 7 and the cpxr are both very good. Both are have great protection and comfort. However, if you have a smaller head, the cpxr might fit better.

CPX-R versus the CPV - 7/21/11 reply

Birthday coming up soon in august. getting the brine esquire shoulder pads and arm guards. and a new helmet. which one should i get. the Cpv does save about $70 off the order compared to the CPX-R but i heard the X-R has better fit and quality. Someone answer soon please!

(no subject) - 7/03/11 reply

i'm not a fan of the nub but does this helmet really fit better than the pro 7?
yeah - 7/03/11 reply

I must say I love the pro7.. but the CPXR fits really well, I like the fit a lot, feels more secure than the pro7 does. both good helmets, at the end of the day I do like the look of the pro7 better, but I'd settle for a CPXR too
(no subject) - 6/25/11 reply

my friend has this helmet, for some reason it looks so much sicker than the regular cpx, it looks better than the pro7 for smaller heads, but the pro7 is still so much sicker
pro7 - 6/24/11 reply

I'm still a pro7 fan and as the 2011 season showed, so is the majority of the lacrosse world.
(no subject) - 6/21/11 reply

(no subject) - 6/18/11 reply

yeah probably
(no subject) - 6/13/11 reply

pro7 all the way!
(no subject) - 6/02/11 reply

This helmet is great for people with big heads, it doesn't pinch the side of your head and just kinda sits on top of your head super comfy too. Only thing I don't like are these little paddings that push on your like sideburn area, but I guess they're there to ensure a good fit.
(no subject) - 6/01/11 reply

pro 7 is way much more comfortable.
(no subject) - 5/27/11 reply

(no subject) - 5/17/11 reply

Pro7 Definitely better
what - 5/16/11 reply

please tell me how its better! they hav the same padding but this has the tail fin and adjustable sizes
Pro7 - 6/01/11 reply

The Pro7 has some nice tilt, it is comfortable, and it does not squeeze your head if you have a big head.
ya - 6/05/11 reply

this has nice tilt too and is comfortable but the pro7 is made for big heads this is made for small
(no subject) - 8/12/11 reply

you can adjust pro7 to and its more comfortable. the cpxr's adjustable thing broke on me
(no subject) - 4/26/11 reply

This helmet is great for goalies because it protects your throat.
(no subject) - 5/03/11 reply

not to burst your bubble but every helmet has throat protection its a screw on thing

TIE DYE - 4/11/11 reply

NO GIMMICK - 4/07/11 reply

THIS HELMET IS THE best i though it was a gimmick it loked like a cpx with a tail on it but its sweet, has mad tilt
Gnarly - 3/28/11 reply

This helmet is so awesome for people with small heads it has a highly adjustable back allowing you to tighten it to your head with ease however the back of the helmet worries me a little because it doesnt come down very far but nothing can be perfect. For people with bigger heads go with the pro 7 its a great helmet all the hype is on the cpx R right now because its new don't let the new stuff change your mind.
(no subject) - 3/26/11 reply

does this helmet have an adjustable back
YES - 4/03/11 reply

ya the adjustable back is a amazing
Sweet - 3/15/11 reply

Pro 7 vs Cpx-R - 3/13/11 reply

Which Helmet is better Pro 7 or Cpx-R
(no subject) - 3/13/11 reply

now before you post questions like this, read down the page... i answered this. but just for your lazy butt, ill copy and paste my comment. don't be fooled by the idiots on here saying its the same as the cpx.. the cpx padding is basically styrofoam. this padding is the SAME as the pro 7. its basically the same thing as the pro 7, but has better adjustibilty, and for kids like me who have a smaller head. basically heres the way you should determine between the cpxr and the pro7. if your head fits in the pro 7 comfortably, get the pro 7. if the pro 7 is too big, even with the larger pad inserts and the helmet adjusted to the smallest setting, get the cpxr.

Great. - 3/06/11 reply

I use this at JHU and i love it. After taking many shots to the head it still stayed almost exactly in place. Easier to adjust than the pro seven but overall feel the same. The best part of this helmet is the mad tilt you can get and still have it fit right.
gimmick - 2/27/11 reply

just another gimmick same thing as cpx wwith a weird thing coming out of your head making u look like a conehead cpx or pro 7
.... - 3/08/11 reply

your stupidness is literally appalling... you do realize this has the EXACT same technology as the pro-7. they made this as a hybrid between the cpx and the pro-7, and that little "weird thing" is where the two helmets came together. the padding on the cpx is basically just foam, this is not. this has the seven technology, same as the pro-7 = not a "gimmick" or the same as the cpx. so before you give a stupid review that is uninformed and senseless, think, so we all don't have to waste our time reading your review....

adjustable strap - 2/11/11 reply

everytime you put the helmate on or takke it off do you have to adjuist the strap in the back
NO - 2/18/11 reply

No. Once you get it to fit the right size, it is easy to get it on it off.

sick dome - 12/04/10 reply

i've got this helmet and it's amazing. very easy to adjust, not very heavy on your head, and i think it looks pretty bad ass. also a mad tilt and makes your flow look ridiculously good. i've also got a pro7 and find the cpxr to be more comfortable.
Amazing - 12/03/10 reply

THis helmet is great just got mine yesterday it looks good an feels good
It's cool but.... - 11/29/10 reply

it's quite heavy. Heavier than the pro7 at least, I don't recommend it to middies.
