What happens when you get hit on the tip of your thumb?!

I have yet to wear any kind of goalie glove since i have played. I have never liked goalie gloves. Just hated the fact i could not move my thumb. Yes i have been hit in the thumb a time or two, yes they hurt, but i play through it. just a sacrifice i make with the choice of gloves i made

what purpose does it serve? i mean cuz all goalie gloves have massive padding on the thumb already

This is smart to get. I have warrior macdaddy 2 goalie gloves with a huge thumb and Ive broken my thumb three times with them. This definitely adds a lot of protection

You can still break a thumb. And younger kids done have golie gloves. And after a goalie breaks his thumb he might wear it to protect it again like a cast
