  • Canadian Mesh is the coated hard mesh. It provides a similar feel to Traditional Hard Mesh. However, it is nearly twice the thickness of Traditional Mesh. Canadian may be somewhat hard to break in, but once it is, it will hold its pocket through any and all elements of nature (excluding fire). Canadian, put simply, is the ultimate in durability.

Canadian soft mesh - 5/13/12 reply

Were do you get Canadian soft mesh and would it be good for a d pole middie?
??????????????? - 4/07/12 reply

it doesn't really make sense cause the pic of the black mesh is actually all the colours of mesh!

MAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF - 7/10/11 reply

BEFORE STRINGING: Soak in water for 30 min. and then take it out and stretch it out. Rub hair conditioner onto it and get it into the fibers. Let it sit for 10 min. and shower the conditioner off. Soak in water again for 15 min. AFTER STRINGING: Get a pencil and shove it in between the sidewall and the sidewall string wherever you want your pocket. dip the mesh into water for a minute. Get a ball and put it under the pencil, so the pencil pushes the ball into a pocket. Let it sit for a few hours, then get the mesh wet again and put the ball back in. Let it sit overnight, and you got yourself a pretty good pocket without playing yet. (The rest of the breaking in process will take place when you're actually playing.)
(no subject) - 6/27/11 reply

before you string it roll the mesh up 3/4 of the way and stretch it out. and after that it it will barley take any breaking in.
amazing - 4/24/11 reply

I bought some of this at a tournament, it'll take some hot water and a good hour session of wall ball to break in, but its amazing. Shot speed with this is wicked and depending how u string it can have a load of hold. U will need to redo all the sidewalls and top a couple times when it finally breaks in, don't cut ur string
(no subject) - 3/24/11 reply

hard mesh not canadian or 6 diamond
(no subject) - 3/13/11 reply

what kind of mesh should i get to string a emcee whipit.
(no subject) - 9/27/10 reply

the color fades really quick if u get colored
(no subject) - 9/15/10 reply

Do not buy. This mesh has zero hold on it, and takes forever to break in. The hold is so bad that if I were to bring the stick from my front to passing position, it will fly out.
(no subject) - 7/11/11 reply

I just got some and the hold is wicked. Stop lying to yourself.
(no subject) - 4/23/13 reply

its all about how you string it, I had the same problem.
HELPP!!! NEED ANSWERS FAST!!! - 7/24/10 reply

(no subject) - 8/01/10 reply

(no subject) - 5/09/10 reply

Is canadian soft better than canadian?
(no subject) - 6/14/12 reply

Yes it is so much better and easer to break in
(no subject) - 5/01/10 reply

Is this good for my super power
SUCKS!!! - 4/30/10 reply

I have this mesh on one ofmy old heads it freakin sucks ass I has put easily 90 hours on the head and the mesh refuses to break in i would only suggest it for a back up rainy day stick
(no subject) - 7/23/10 reply

actually if you pour fabric softener on the mesh then go wall ball or play catch for about an hour or two the pocket and mesh will break in very nicely
(no subject) - 3/30/10 reply

what is really the difference between this and hardmesh I asked my coach and he had no idea. lmao
(no subject) - 6/14/12 reply

This is thicker and has a wax coating
(no subject) - 2/23/10 reply

Canadan mesh is amazing but get the color u want because it has an outer wax coating

Canadian vs. American Mesh - 11/18/09 reply

Canadian mesh is allright...takes awile to break in, but gives a great hold and shot.... American Mesh i think is super....I have special MESH BUTTER i put on it and makes it into Marc Mesh...The stuff is insane.....By itself the American Mesh is twice as thick as 10D Hard and Its very durable....shot speed isnt the greatest but is ok and hold is superb!!
(no subject) - 1/24/10 reply

where did u get mesh butter
(no subject) - 2/22/10 reply

Haha so funny @$$ hol3

question - 5/12/09 reply

should i get this now, our regular season is over, but i still have allstars so will this mesh wear out by fallball?
MESH - 5/14/09 reply

get it during off season because takes a while to break in but if u want it now get itt strung with lose sidewalls and if that dont work wet it put a knife through sidewalls and leave it there overnight
BTW - 5/14/09 reply

Put the ball in there forgot to say that
? - 5/06/09 reply

isnt this just a thicker version of hard mesh?
(no subject) - 5/31/09 reply

Canadian or Dura mesh - 5/03/09 reply

for protection from rain.
This mesh for faceoffs - 4/19/09 reply

i do faceoffs, when you push this mesh back in your stick, then go to scoop the ball (after the faceoff), is it quite hard to scoop the ball because the mesh is so stiff? Chur
canadian soft mesh - 4/19/09 reply

you need to get some canadian soft mesh man
Isnt.. - 4/19/09 reply

that just American mesh?
(no subject) - 4/22/09 reply

nah its think mesh rly thick but tis not hard
This.. - 4/15/09 reply

or Warrior hard mesh?
THE BEST - 4/06/09 reply

this mesh is the best. after you string your stick, wait for a rainy day to break it in. then practice in the rain for about an hour just catching and throwing and go home and sape it then let it dry. PERFECT!
does it come with...... - 3/25/09 reply

side wall string or is it just mesh
(no subject) - 3/28/09 reply

Just mesh.
(no subject) - 3/25/09 reply

i dont know if it makes a difference, but does the smooth part of the mesh go where the ball is going to be, or does it face out?
(no subject) - 4/10/09 reply

rougher side is the side that you want the ball to be touching when done stringing.. its grippy for more hold
This is the best - 3/10/09 reply

This is so much better than hard for any1 wondering... even if this is harrrrrddd to break in, even the first day it's on you can get a sick sweets spot pocket. And if you want to know how to make a good pocket easy, push the ball in as far as you can and hold it for 30 sec so it will stay that was for like 10 sec. before it gets smaller stick a pencil under the sidewall on top of the ball and above the mesh if u know what i mean.
this or hard - 2/19/09 reply

i wanted to get this or hard but did not know if it would be worth saving 3$
(no subject) - 2/19/09 reply

Canadian mesh is way better plus who cares about saving 3$.
----read---- - 1/14/09 reply

What is the difference between this and american mesh?
(no subject) - 2/04/09 reply

American mesh has no coating, and therefore is just extra thick soft mesh.
Canadian or Hard - 12/31/08 reply

whats a better choice to get??
(no subject) - 2/04/09 reply

Hard will break in easily, and is very light compared to canadian, but when your playing in wet weather you will have to worry about the pocket sagging to illegality, and it will eventually lose almost all of it's stiffness. Canadian takes forever to break in, and is pretty heavy, but you won't have to worry about it ever changing in any type of weather, and it will not soften up nearly as much.
(no subject) - 2/19/09 reply

CoMParISon! - 11/03/08 reply

well then what is better hard mesh or canadian mesh??
(no subject) - 2/04/09 reply

If you make sure to stretch the crap out canadian mesh, and beat the crap out of the area you want the pocket to be then canadian mesh is. It takes a long time get the pocket to be truly set. It may seem like it's set for a little while, but will go back to the way it was unless you properly beat the crap out of it and leave a ball that's a little bigger than legal in the pocket for like a week. You'll have to run it under hot water once a day, and after that if it still isn't set then keep at it, once it is truly set this mesh will not lose it's shape.
(no subject) - 7/16/09 reply

canadian mesh
i like it - 9/28/08 reply

its really all personal opinion, i have it on my stick and love it but many of the guys on my team oppose it. Id recommend but try it first so you know what you're getting
Sofening mesh - 9/19/08 reply

With this mesh if you want to get it as close to hard mesh as possible you need to 1, streach the hell ut of it or 2, put it in the washer machine on delicate, it wont make it the same as hard mesh otherwise that would be a complete waste but it will break the coating enough to hold up in rain and what not but not shrink on you after a few games like it has for some of you in th past, you need to MAKE SURE YOU STREACH THE MESH BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE WASHER, THAT WAY IT WILL SAVE YOU A STEP WHEN STRINGING AND WILL REALLY GET ALL OF THE COATING LOOSENED UP.
didn't really like it - 8/20/08 reply

got it for my xcalibur thinking okay gerat, i can dunk this thing underwater and like tape rock in it and the pocket will still remain immaculate. that didnt really happen. it made a nice pocket to begin with, but after several games, it like solidified into a shallower pocket and kinda shrunk from there. wouldnt really recommend, i like regular hard mesh better
Pocket buliding??? - 8/12/08 reply

how long would it take to make a pocket with this mesh?
the best - 7/16/08 reply

this is the best mesh it has alot of hold if u string it right and its easy to brake in with water

NOT THE REAL STUFF - 6/27/08 reply

This is NOT the real canadian mesh!!!! Real canadian mesh only comes in white and its not hard, its a very thick layer of soft...if you string it right, it works very nice and is great. I strung a head yesterday with canadian mesh, and its awesome...i broke it in in a few hours!
stupid mesh - 6/17/08 reply

i bought yellow canadian mesh from here and the first day i used it, it rained and now i have a huge lip. Does anyone no how to fix it
(no subject) - 6/25/08 reply

HELP - 5/31/08 reply

how hard is it to break in?
good mesh - 6/07/08 reply

i got this in white and it took about 3 weeks to break in but after that it was great didn't have a lip in rain or the snow
(no subject) - 8/19/08 reply

It is really easy if you string it right. If it is strung right then if is the best mesh
Depends - 3/10/09 reply

During the season when your playing everyday, if you put a ball in with a pen every night or use a pocket pounder after practive you can do it in a few days. If you just play with it it will take like 3 weeks.
Best mesh? - 5/29/08 reply

I play D and need to restring my stick. What is the best mesh?
Get 6d - 5/30/08 reply

Get some 6D I just strung it on my proton. It has the most hold out of all the other meshes. Trust me get it.
This or Traditional - 5/28/08 reply

I use to play with traditional on my razor but I was thinking of switching to Canadian what should I do?
im not sure - 5/28/08 reply

i like traditional its really good but if your were going to switch i would go for six dimond not candian
pocket - 5/21/08 reply

get the pocket wet under warm water and pound it, it makes a sweet natural pocket
depth with mesh still hard - 5/04/08 reply

(this may be long and difficult just do it and it will make ur pocket awsome) All u guys have to do to make the pocket bigger R these 3 steps (1)run the mesh (with it already strung) under hot water (2)bound a ball in it to desired depth (3) put a pocket stretcher (leaning to front)in it with a ball in the back (but u guy wont under stand step3) so just get 4 wooden pencilesand 2 balls put 1 ball under under ur last string and 2 penciles on the ball to hold ball in Then put the other ball at back and dosame thing with the penciles and let air dry For better pocket in between step 1and 2 get "vo5" strawberry and cream conditioner and rub in mesh
were can u get canadian mesh - 4/28/08 reply

is there any places were u can get real canadian mesh online anywhere.

(no subject) - 1/25/09 reply

dude your a stupid ass. i think in the description Canadian Mesh is the coated hard mesh" pretty much puts it right infront of your face that its hard. way to pay attention.
THIS IS A JOKE DONT BUY! - 4/10/08 reply

first of all real canadian only comes in white and is soft, the hard version is more american style. and canadian is sick if you want a real piece go to nickell city sports, but it can suck if you cant string good.

It is, it is insane hard to form a pocket with this
Canadian, Dura, or Hard Mesh? - 2/22/08 reply

Alright..I'm thinking about getting either a Clutch or an Answer. Should I get Canadian, Duramesh, or Hard Mesh? Whats the difference between Dura and Hard? Also, does anyone know of some sites that have good instructions on stringing Canadian/Dura/Hard Mesh with a nice pocket and medium whip? Thanks.
oh btw - 3/26/08 reply

if u run a ball up and down the mesh, by hand, once it strung it softens this and hard mesh up fairly quick
dont - 4/30/08 reply

dont get the answer it pinches too easily. i got the clutch with hard mesh and its my baby!
(no subject) - 7/16/09 reply

get the clutch with canadian mesh thats what i have now and its amazing
does it matter - 2/20/08 reply

does that little bit of extra hardness really do anything... it cant be much of an advantage over regular hard mesh
it's not the hardness - 3/04/08 reply

all mesh loses some of it's hardness over time, but this stuff stays harder longer, lasts longer because of the thickness, and most importantly is hardly affected by wet weather. But good luck changing pocket location once it has been set.
HAHAHA Most ppl here are jokes - 2/13/08 reply

I was wondering if half of you guys even own sticks. First off this mesh is redicalously hard. It makes for a faster shot. Now if you know how to string a head right then you wont complain about your pocket because the way you do your sidewall is about 80% of your pocket. You might have to tighten up your sidewalls after playing for a while but thats about it. go to e-lacrosse and learn how to string, or just mess around and play with it for a few hours, then youll be stringing pearls for your whole team. Later
true - 2/20/08 reply

indeed - 4/14/08 reply

no, not really, I start. But, my stringing could use work...
(no subject) - 2/23/10 reply

I got a stick it's the swizzbeats with the edge x head how's that
The best mesh over made - 12/31/07 reply

i've tried hard, soft, 6D, and catapulation. and this tops them all it stands up to everything. i'll never switch to other mesh again.

Canadian mesh doesn't come in colors. Only is white. This is capulation mesh!
Best mesh out - 1/22/07 reply

This is the best mesh i have ever used and it last forever
Weight - 12/24/06 reply

if you have a well balenced stick do not buy this. Since its double the thickness of normal mesh it soaks up water like crazy and gets to b like 80000 lbs. NO GOOD!!!!
(no subject) - 4/13/08 reply

it really does but mine hasn't changed in the rain yet so i don't care. Oh and i really can't feel a difference because my stick is already heavy as crap
