question - 7/07/15 reply

Are these Jimalax spools? or are these made by
Sidewall facts - 6/18/15 reply

1) This is polyester not nylon. The advantage of polyester is it holds up to UV rays where nylon gets damaged by UV. 2) It takes 7.5 feet or more to string a head, so based on that, the maximum number of heads is 40 out of a spool, but most people will waste a bunch so realistically drop that to 32. 3) has great customer service, pricing and super fast delivery. 4) The Camo and dessert are jimalax nylon, most of the rest are polyester. Hope this helps.

help! - 5/31/12 reply

how many heads can 100 yds of sidewall strings string?
help! - 11/18/12 reply

i would say it takes apx. 3 yards for 1 head if that helps
(no subject) - 5/31/14 reply

Dont you mean that it takes one yard... Three yards is 9 feet
(no subject) - 8/24/14 reply

No, it would be 3 yards. You need about 1 yard for each sidewall, a little less than 2 feet for your top string and more if its a triangle top, chenango, or iriqoui, and a little less than a foot for the bottom string.
(no subject) - 9/22/14 reply

if you're conservative, you could get about 45 maybe more
(no subject) - 9/22/14 reply

no actually way more. i can string a head with well under 2 yards. more towards 60 or 70

Do i need Cross lace? - 3/17/12 reply

i just started to play and do i need cross string or can i just use sidewall?
(no subject) - 4/09/12 reply

use sidewall
(no subject) - 4/30/12 reply

Why are you getting 300 feet of sidewall if you just started?
jake - 4/30/12 reply

I know you/ saw you write this
(no subject) - 11/18/12 reply

cross lace is for tradys
(no subject) - 12/23/11 reply

use this for a traditional with white leathers
Crosslace Vs Sidewall - 12/08/11 reply

Sidewall is the type of string that most mesh kits come with. cross lace is what you use to string between the leathers of a traditional stick. sidewall is thicker and will probably last longer
(no subject) - 11/24/11 reply

Is this the thin stuff or the thick stuff?
LENGTH - 11/23/11 reply

Is this 100 yards?

can u string a rocket pocket with side wall leathers and no cross lace
(no subject) - 4/24/11 reply

can u use this for the top lace and the sidewall?
(no subject) - 6/04/11 reply

yeah the sidewall string can be used anywhere in the stick. it does the same exact thing as a nylon
(no subject) - 7/18/11 reply

Diameter - 4/11/11 reply

How thick is this string in millimeters? Or inches?
String - 3/18/11 reply

whats the difference (if there is any) between the Sidewall spool and cross lace spool.
(no subject) - 4/10/11 reply

crosslace is much thicker than sidewall spool. Sidewall I believe is the more preferred one, its the one i use.

(no subject) - 2/22/11 reply

dude lax points! im getting this for free
(no subject) - 11/16/10 reply

two questions this or crosslace because i only want to buy one spool of string to string most of the stick.(sidewall, topstring, bottom lace, and maybe nylon shooter if possible) next which do you buy and why?
sidewall - 10/25/10 reply

this is great durable and its just nice, but i warn u its 300 feet
(no subject) - 7/04/10 reply

cross lace is for shooting nylons and top strings. sidewall lace is for sidewall. i hate cross lace though because cross lace is really fat string and gets hard to put it through any of the stringing holes. but sidewall lace works perfectly fine when used as top string
you are wrong!!!!!! - 10/28/10 reply

crosslace is deffinately thinner that sidewall and it is commonly used by traditional stringers
finally - 12/08/11 reply

finally somebody gets it right, most of these kids are idiots
difference? - 6/23/10 reply

is there a difference between the sidewall and the crosslace
(no subject) - 6/16/13 reply

yes crosslace is used for pita pockets and sidewall is used for stringing mesh and btw crosslace stretches thats y its not used for mesh
(no subject) - 6/23/10 reply

what sidewalls will look good with a royal blue head and yellow mesh??
(no subject) - 8/29/10 reply

I'd say white would look pretty sick.
Traditional - 6/18/10 reply

Do you use this kind of string for the traditional pocket? or is it the crosslace?
(no subject) - 7/01/10 reply

crosslace is for traditional pockets
(no subject) - 6/16/10 reply

just go to a hardware store and buy some. they all different types of colors and its like ten dollars cheaper. DONT WASTE UR MONEY.
Order - 6/10/10 reply

sidewall breaks - 4/05/10 reply

Hello I am currently a student at Lehigh University and former lacrosse player. As part of my honors program we had to create a invention which we would engineer and market over the course of our semester. My groups idea was simple, an engineered tube to reconnect sidewall strings, it would come in a kit with pieces of sidewall string as well so that if a sidewall breaks a quick fix can be done in game so that a player can keep using his main stick. We are looking for feedback from lacrosse players and fans on this topic and I would greatly appreciate any criticism or thoughts about the invention. Two questions I would like to ask: a) How often does your sidewall string break? b) If this product were available would you use it in a game over switching sticks Thank you in advance for any responses
good idea - 4/10/10 reply

this would be awesome because i have been in games and my sidewall breaks and it's such a pain to switch sticks. so go for it
Well . . . - 4/11/10 reply

I'm a high school student in New Jersey. My only concern is that the, "Tube," will not be flexible. If the string breaks in or near a hole, the tube will not be as flexible. So the tube will break. To answer your question, I would prefer to use brand new string, but say in a game like you say, I would use it. You would need to sell the tube for a reasonable amount of money. Good luck on your invention.
Great Idea - 4/11/10 reply

Great idea for me because my sidewall or top string rips about every 2-3 weeks. it's a pain to restring it. and In practice or games its the worst.
good and bad - 4/14/10 reply

great idea but sidewall strings barely break before you notice it and restring it so it doesnt break but a good thing to have as a temporary solution
(no subject) - 4/22/10 reply

great idea
topwall - 4/25/10 reply

i think it would be more effective if it could be used to fix a broken topwall... but the thing is, they only break near the hole.
Sidel wall invention - 5/15/10 reply

Side wall invention - 5/15/10 reply

I replace my side walls with this every month of lax season. its good for them to stay fresh. i wouldny use ur thing cuz i already string my own sticks and i dont neeed that
(no subject) - 5/19/10 reply

I wouldn't use the invention i would just switch to my back up in all honesty and it usually breaks once a season towards the end when playoffs start
Sounds Good - 6/05/10 reply

I like the idea for a temp. fix.
sidewall invention - 9/29/10 reply

i think its good 4 a quick fix in a game. but for like a permanent thing than no. lotsa ppl dont kno how 2 string a stick so good idea go with it
Solid Idea - 9/03/13 reply

I think this would be way useful. Is it available yet? And if so, Where can I get it?
crosslace vs. sidewall - 2/27/10 reply

I am pretty much the go to kid for stringing and dying on my team. if you want lace you can use for the sidewalls, topwall, and bottom go with crosslace.

colors to use, please respond - 10/02/09 reply

what's a good color combo with some or all of these colors(meshsidewall)...white,black,Bright orange, dark or bright green. And what color should the head or white?
Fraying! helpp - 8/17/09 reply

If I buy this, and cut the string, how will i string more sticks if the string doesnt have the plastic on the end to go thru the holes in the head? the string would just fray and wont go thru the holes.
(no subject) - 1/28/10 reply

burn the end
Fraying - 2/25/10 reply

as soon as you cut the srting, burn it for 3 or 4 secons and it will get hard and no longer fray

(no subject) - 7/22/09 reply

A custom pocket is kind of like an unusual pocket that u have either had done or made urself. An example of a custom pocket would be if u cut off part of the mesh and made a strip down the middle with a bunnch of stuff that you've come up with urself

(no subject) - 6/09/09 reply

(no subject) - 5/02/09 reply

cross lace is stronger then sidewall
u have no clue.... - 5/17/09 reply

crosslace is the THINNEST type of string availble because its used to string anything other than mesh AKA traditional and the endless varities sidewall is the thicker than crosslace but thinner than topstring, which is the thickest availble, but anyways sidewall string is used to string pockets with mesh
2 heads? - 3/29/09 reply

ok 100 yards seems like alot rite? well do u think i culd use it to string 2 heads like both sidewalls and the tops
amount of heads - 3/31/09 reply

you can string A LOT more than two heads. it takes me about 100" to 120" to string one head completely. This is 3600" of string. you should be able to string 30 heads. F.Y.I, i'm talking about mesh heads. for traditional its more like 13 to 18 feet needed per head; depending on the number of diamonds or if you're stringing a custom pocket.
