Guys listen up. This mesh like any other mesh works for any lacrosse head in the game today. It all depends on how you string it and the kind of pocket you want. So for anyone asking if the mesh is good for whatever head, yes its fine for all heads. |

the bigger the diamonds, the harder the mesh is. 5 diamond is extremely hard even when you break it in. 6 diamond is still very hard even when you break it in. |
|
|
 | | - phambam25 10/06/11 reply
when you break it in right, 6 diamond is such a versatile mesh. with my main stick i can shoot as an attack man, face-off and play D mid while maintaining perfect passing and consistency |

|
 | | - evangelax217 5/02/10 reply
six diamond doesnt sag as much in wet weather, because there is less surface area to gather up water. it has 6 diamons of mesh in a straight horizontal line across the mesh piece. hard mesh is easier to string and provides a better pocket. |

I'd describe myself as an intermediate midfield player that needs a consistent pocket despite the weather. Strung my V2 with this stuff because I was told it wouldn't stretch when wet. Works awesome! Dry or wet it throws exactly the same! |

hard mesh is better in rain snow and dry weathor than this stuff bc it holds its pocket very well... my stick in very deep and has NEVER streached with my hardmesh

I'm trying to decide myself which I like better. It's personal preference. I used to use hard mesh but now I'm using 6d for the first time. 6d offers more hold but sacrifices shot speed. You have to add a little more force when shooting and throwing long passes. When I decided to get 6d mesh, I looked at it this way: If i don't like it, I'll work with it for a little while to work up my shot speed for when i switch back to regular hard mesh. If I do, i'll stick with it. |

Even though it cost more money to buy seperate you can get what ever you want to get and it looks alot sicker then what comes in the kits for like 17$. Well worth spending the extra money. |

hey im thinking about getting the helix or the proton power to match my new head. but i need your opinion on the stringing. im going to get black mesh with a black proton power, or a white helix because they dont come factory dyed and i dont want to f*ck with it. and then my pocket string is going to be orange, then have two shooting strings. yellow and red. and then neon green sidewall stuff or whatever that is. but i dont know if this is good for what im looking for in a head. i play right wing middie and face off alot two. i also make runs from the left side of the goal when they take a shot and they miss, all the way up to the goal. so it needs to have a good pocket. due to my faceoffs, i dont want some of that monster mesh you know like super hard because i win alot of them and i want to actually scoop the ball up after. k thanx! |

 | - lax unicorn 12/17/08 reply
ok im getting 2 new heads and i dont know for one of them if i should get 6 diamond or hard mesh. I play attack and want a good hold but i hate a lot of whip on my passes since i play x but also which shoots harder six diamond or hard mesh. If u have played with six diamond can u give me a report on it and a review |
|
 | | - clutchattack3 2/04/09 reply
6 diamond has more hold and as a consequence more whip, but the difference between it and hard mesh is not a big one. If you take outside shots a lot then 6 diamond would be more your style, but if your a finisher and shoot quick-stick a lot then hard mesh would be the way to go. Keep in mind though that no mesh will ever hold a candle to a well strung trad, or similar custom pocket. |
|
 | | | - attack4life 5/24/09 reply
i dont agree with a few things. custom pockets are high matenance and you can manipulate mesh to play just like any custom pocket if it's strung right...AND six diamond can shoot quick just fine, and hold is a big advantage, plus, more whip means faster shots if u learn to shoot it right. |
|
 | - MD_lax_19 8/12/08 reply
taditional has just as good hold but 6D is easier to maintain |

 | - Bigmiddiehighpockets 7/22/08 reply
Im a middie who wants good hold and usually prefers running through people rather then around them, i mostly enjoy high pockets because the ball feel is better and the releast is quicker, but if a midpocket is needed i can live (no low pockets) |

that would be illegal. You cant dye your mesh into three colors or even two it can only be 1. Although if you wanted to you could dye your head those colors for your school and that wouldnt be illegal. |

idk if it is good but i just got it i know why it was so cheap it doesn't come with anything just the mesh no string of any sort fortunatley i have gone through a lot of this stuff so i have extra string, but it seems pretty good other than that. |

My friend has the Evo and he uses hard mesh. I think 6D gives you a better hold but not as hard a shot as hard mesh. |
|
 | - CBA_lax 3/26/08 reply
whats the strengths + differences of the 2? |
|
 | | - jonnyshaps77 3/31/08 reply
six diamond has more hold but slower shot speed while 10 diamond or hard mesh has less hold but faster shot speed |
|
 | | | - HattersLax36 5/19/08 reply
first of all, hard mesh actually slows ur shot because it causes more friction on the ball and 6 diamond has much better hold and a deeper pocket because the larger diamonds stretch more than smaller ones... i personally love 6 diamond mesh when strung correctly and will never use hard mesh. |
|
 | | | | - 18attack 6/01/08 reply
actually the 6 diamond has a slower shot because it has so much hold it slows the ball down and hard mesh has a faster shot cuz of less hold.
more hold=slower shot
less hold=faster shot
but if u can string a 6 diamond stick really well u can get awesome hold & shot speed |
|
 | | - dmiddie19 4/05/08 reply
6 is much better once you try it you will never use regular agian |

wider diamond pattern, it has pretty good hold, its a bit softer than regular hard mesh. ive never used it, but a lot of people on my team think that this is the best stuff around |
|
 | - dmanpelham12 3/03/08 reply
ive got it on a revo pro 2.0 on a d pole, and you get checked on that big ass pole while cradling, the ball barely ever pops out. six diamond is sick hold fo sho |
|
 | - nlaxguy11 12/06/07 reply
i think this is way better than hard but adds more whip but is easy to fix
to get a pocket put it in a bucket (strung) with hot water and fabric softener then pound the pocket |
