How many diamonds is this mesh? I would like 10 diamond mesh but looks like this mesh is only 8. Not sure tho

I have strung numerous ECM and hard mesh pockets and never had any issues forming a pocket. Now that I am a dedicated face off man, I need soft mesh. For some reason the pocket won't break in and constantly shrinks. It goes from illegal back to flat in just a day. Any ideas to make it stay better?
- Blake Stenstrom 8/19/13 reply
All mesh works well if you string it right. Many people prefer different types. Mark Matthews uses soft mesh and it gives him more hold to throw his crazy box fakes. Many players use hard mesh and it can provide less whip but not as much hold. You can still get great hold with hard mesh as long as you string it right. Most young players use hard mesh these days. I personally do not like hard mesh because of the time it takes to break in. I use waxed mesh on my starters. If you want waxed mesh, get east coast mesh or blatant mesh. Overall it all depends on how you string your mesh

Can you string a mini stick with this mesh?
- alau828 3/30/13 reply
For all of u who don't know what to get either hard or soft mesh I recommend hard mesh that u could soften with conditioner therefore the mesh is soft and pliable but still durable like hard mesh

Just ordered it in black and got white...

i play lsm and d i need a good mesh for intercepting passes what type f mesh should i get???
- christman911 4/06/13 reply
i would get waxy mesh. eastcoast mesh is very good, as well as ninja mesh. waxy mesh is good for every position, my lsms on my team all use waxy mesh, although it may be more expensive. it is durable, easy to string. i am a goalie and tried waxy mesh and i love it. and as far as a head get one with less pinch such as a proton power, or stx stallion. you may pay more but you will defenitly get your moneys worth.

yes its true that most begginer sticks come with soft mesh, but that doesnt mean its for crappy players. soft mesh gives you a whip and accuracy like no other. if its done right you can put the ball to a pinpoint location on an extemely right rope. hard mesh is more for people who want ball control and hold when cradling and want a quicker release on passes/shots. generally i would suggest hard mesh to midfielders, and soft to attackmen, but you need to test both out with your style of play and make sure its strung right. then make your decision

back when I first started i had soft on my brine rocket, therefore associating soft mesh with narps..
One day I ripped my hard mesh in my helix, needed a quick fix and put that same old raggedy orange soft mesh on my helix and wow. As much as I thought Id never say this but, fellow bros, the dawn of soft mesh is upon us.

I'm a mid and I like soft mesh for face-offs and because I like the way the ball feels in the pocket
- brettmanag 2/03/11 reply
Soft mesh is SUCKY Its only good for catching and cradling I had soft mesh on my d stick...it sucked so bad I bought a hard mesh kit right after practice don't buy soft mesh

what mesh should i get for my revo x for defense??? ***No soft mesh suggestions, hate it***
- Ned25SU 7/07/10 reply
I play in NCAA and I gotta say, soft mesh is totally under rated. If you string it right it has all the qualities of hard mesh with the hold of soft mesh. People always think its for beginners but buy a piece and try stringing it tight, its not bad
- laxpepe13 6/03/10 reply
if u play midie soft mesh is better for faster shots and hold on the ball, but hard mesh is better for acuracy
watever fits you best
- italia67890 4/20/10 reply
soft mesh is only good for defense.
ihave a stx primer with soft mesh and it is great but hard mesh is best for everything
those of you think that hard mesh sucks can kiss my a**
- bremo 4/11/10 reply
i love soft mesh you have alot more control but the pocket gets deep quick so watch out

If you take face offs then soft if you don't then get hard mesh
But it is mostly preference

i am a short stick midie and i shoot and assist about the same. and im debating on getting soft or hard mesh. its also my first yr playin lax..
- es8 4/08/09 reply
is it worth buying for an unstrung head???
- wlaxer777 4/07/09 reply
Soft mesh is the same price as hard. Now when you buy soft mesh and put it on your stick make sure you don't put it in the rain because it makes an illegal pocket. One thing is if you are a beginner you might want to get soft mesh to get the feeling of a lacrosse stick. On the other hand if you are experanced lax player you might want to get hard because if you have your stick skills down hard mesh will make sure the pocket is ok. Another thing is it's your choice and you might want soft you might hard but I have been playing for 2 years and used soft mesh now I use hard=)

i have a razor 2.0 pro. i died it blue and it is awesome.
now, i neeed your help. should i go with soft or hard mesh. i play attack. also what color of mesh should i got with.im thnking yellow, carolina, or grey.
- naturalmiddie 3/24/09 reply
im a fast faceoff middie/ short pole defensive middie. i dont make many shots. assisst are more my style. which is best for me soft or had.
- elittle2 11/18/10 reply
Soft is good for middies that dont take much shots because the pocket moves back to its original placement after faceoffs.
Also because IMO it passes better because it doesnt "grip" the ball when you pass (a.k.a whip)
- irishlaxer98 3/21/09 reply
i am attack and i think soft and hard mesh both do the job
- Andrew17 2/11/09 reply
seriously, why would you ask that? get your favorite
- MDLAX#28 5/11/08 reply
i play D so should i put hard or soft mesh on my revo pro???
- Turilax26 5/27/08 reply
definitely use soft mesh. ive tried hard mesh on my pole, and it feels and throws wierd. its also a LOT easier to catch a ball in most situations if you use sof mesh instead of hard. actually, i suggest, if possible, a medium between hard and soft. if you get som used hard mesh thats broken in, that would be best, cause somtimes soft mesh frays and wears down too quickly. as long as you are able to string it well it should be fine
- mxrules214 3/28/08 reply
can you dudes stop arguing over which mesh is the best, its mesh its your own opinion thats just my two cents
- Raptar123 1/26/08 reply
Soft mesh is much better, don't listen to all of those hard mesh losers. They're just playa hatas.
- woodlax1 3/19/08 reply
it depends if you face and ypour personal preference
- Turilax26 5/27/08 reply
agreed. you can shoot a lot better sidearm with hard mesh, and once it's worked well, its really comfortable. but soft mesh is a lot better for cradling and faceoffs, so yeah it is all personal preference. i personally prefer hard on my shortstick and soft on my D pole.
- HansLAX 3/18/10 reply
I am abetter than average player who has a harrow stick. I use soft mesh i mean who wouldn't. Besides all the kids i know who have hard mesh has to get rid of it an a month because it stretched to much.
- Bobbysteve 12/26/06 reply
Hard Mesh is more for a harder shot (though not much faster) and it is really good when it is broken in. Soft Mesh is more for cradling.
- Laxer4Life1301 12/15/06 reply
Go with hard mesh...it last better through whatever weather throws at you and has a better pocket once broken in
- dplaxmonkey 11/25/06 reply
u didnt need to get all excited its just a piece of mesh... but yea hard is better
- Tacobender24 1/06/07 reply

u smoking meth or something? soft $ucks go hard mesh
- brewsterlax29 3/21/08 reply
many people have different oppions but mine is that if u want a stick with good control go with soft and if u want a stick that has an acurate shot go with hard but you will only get these results if the sticks are strung properly or by and experienced stringer
and you guys/girls could be a little nicer ~.~
- Turilax26 5/27/08 reply

- HansLAX 3/18/10 reply
soft owns hard because it breaks in and keeps a good pocket without stretching.
