I wouldn't recommend this shaft. I went through 2 of these within a week! I play midi and the first one I had bent and is unusable. The second one I snapped during a game. I'm no brute either so unless you are younger then 13 or 14 I wouldnt get it because it's going to snap.

You guys might think oh Nike isn't a lacrosse company, but I bought this stick to give it a try and if I didn't like it I'd buy a new one. This shaft had beaten my expectations and more! This shaft feels good, don't even need tape, and is relatively light. This shaft is one of the best and like I said had beaten my expectations and had is just amazing. I will never look think of the vandal as a bad shaft and think nike can't make a good shaft. I will say some other nike lacrosse products aren't good but this is amazing!
- tobinator 4/10/15 reply
This thing is so flimsy, it bent the very first practice I used it. It's completely useless now. If you're just going to lightly tap the guy you're covering, maybe it's fine. Not a good pole for a serious defender.
- Mason 3/21/15 reply
Have had this shaft for 3 seasons, very durable, not a single dent, only scratches
- burrito mike 2/20/15 reply
i love this shaft, have the shorty and long and both work amazing!!!

I have been researching the A1, vapor elite, vandal, and carbon. So far the A1 is the lightest out of all them at 5.4 ounces.
- Pr3stonn 1/26/15 reply
This shaft is great! It feels just like a ECD Carbon. it is super light and one of my favorite shafts of all time
- Stringking man 12/24/14 reply
I have 2 of these shafts and I love them one with a proton power and another one with a RP3X. These shafts are great for me because they're lightweight. The only thing that I don't like is that the graphics wear quickly. Other than the One of the best shafts I've ever had I do recommend this shaft.

I play attack and midfield at HS level. Which one should I buy. which one will last longer and perform better
- Iceman1501 9/22/14 reply
I Love this Shaft so much. Really nice and strong then is has a slight grip to it which I like cause I don't like when my sticks have to much grip on them. I use my vandal with a Warrior Cobra HS head which is really nice since i play attack. This shaft is defiantly worth it to buy!!!

- Hannylax13 7/03/14 reply
I have the Vandal, very nice shaft and pretty sturdy. Just accidentally bought the attack shaft Under Armour SC 1X the other day and immediately fell in love with the thing. I honestly prefer the UA over this Vandal. Just in my opinion

I play defense and i have a brand new STX hammer U, and i am looking for a new shaft. I do not want to spend more than $130 for the shaft. I was wondering how light the nike vandal really is and is it durable enough to withstand a whole season of play? thanks
- ill900 5/05/14 reply
my friend used one for a season and a half it really held up great for d-pole
- akapandaman 4/17/14 reply
This is a real review for all you looking right now. I have 2 vandals. A short stick and a d pole. I do not have one dent in either one and each has been used for one whole season. I throw hard checks and I still have yet to seen a dent. The only thing I don't like is the way it easily gets scratched, but that is not a bad problem. The grip on it is like sand and I can no longer use any grip different than it because I love it. The d pole version may be a little heavy but I still love it. Overall I absolutely love this shaft and would recommend it.

Which shaft is better this or the Vapor? and will it fit a Surgeon head?
- iiien 3/29/14 reply
For attack I'd go with this, but the wonder boy has a tackyer grip and the wonder boy is better for middie or d
- The_hollywood13 3/26/14 reply
this shaft is great but not the best.... I've dealt with it having a very big and deep scratch and there is a dent that is huge so if your aggressive and go through a lot of shafts don't get this but if your not so aggressive then yes by all means buy this shaft best at its price
- bazinga 3/16/14 reply
Will a warrior evo 3 fit on this head?
- noah 3/13/14 reply
i,ve played with this stick for two years and it,s bean slashed many times and nothing more than scratches. great shaft
- Min 2/03/14 reply
this is an amazing shaft for its price its really chip and it feels great if you tape it
- DexLax2015 1/21/14 reply
The Nike Vandal is a great lightweight shaft for the High School level. I've been using this shaft for 2 1/2 years now and it's been great. As someone who's used this shaft as an attack and midfield player, I'd recommend this shaft for people playing attack and not midfield because there are much tougher shafts than this. But so far, I only have one medium-sized dent. Overall, it's a good shaft at a great price.
- HARD1NG 1/13/14 reply
I play as an attackman for the True Michigan team and I've been playing with this stick for quite a while. I really put this stick to work through last season, summer, fall, a few practices this winter, but it's finally got a big dent. Sadly that dent has turned into a bend. All the less great shaft I really liked it. It was pretty light not the lightest in the world but pretty good. I would recommend this shaft over any other if you can't put up a lot of money.
- peteeneal 11/25/13 reply
is a bump up to a so-ti surgeon worth it. I'm a freshman in high school who is gonna get a large amount of time at d-pole and am wondering if i should get a new vandal or the so-ti surgeon
- FreshLax 1/27/14 reply
Sorry about the other post... Anyway the vandal is way better it looks better feels better and the Easton stealth shaft chips like no other all the paint comes off and it's just a waste of money so if I were u get the vandal xD
- peteeneal 11/12/13 reply
i've had this shaft at defense for almost four years now and through heavy use and lots of hard checks it still works perfect, I've bent it a little but it barely dents, it has the perfect grip, it's super light, it's so durably, and overall it's the best shaft on the market if your looking for a new stick get this as your shaft.
- DylanNiles17 8/01/13 reply
Every head will fit on any shaft you will ever buy. Sometimes you may need to take the screw and drill a new hole but it takes a minute to do so
- lsmwarrior 8/16/13 reply
yes i have both and they fit together the hole on the vandal gets wide after use so just tape it up
- herman 7 6/07/13 reply
its really light my friend has it as his b-up stick
- Rippin Gs 6/02/13 reply
Very good shaft for its price. I've had it for this season and it only has a small dent near the throat of the head. Although it has a small dent it is only $65. Overall I recommend this for any player out there, just be prepared for 1 or more dents by the end of the season.
- gclaxstrings49 6/20/13 reply
i threw 1 kayak check and the entire stick bent with a huge crack in it AND IM ONLY IN 8TH GRADE
- BradW44 5/29/13 reply
bought this maybe a month and a half ago as a cheap practice shaft. Once it came in i fell in love just from throwing around in the back yard, and after two or three practices i turned turned it into my gamer. amazingly light, very durable, as i take plenty of checks while attacking. I highly recommend.

does the black/white vandal come with a smaller logo as shown on the image? please get back to me ASAP
- doyouevenlaxbro 4/30/13 reply
I bought two of these one in yellow one in black I have a STX Proton U on them and it is amazing the shaft looks sick and the head is really amazing even for middie.
- TonyF 4/12/13 reply
I use this and a proton power and it works great! This shaft is so light and sleek. The paint does chip fairly easy but who really cares right? Just play the game. There arent any dents either. The sandblast texture is AWSOME! I love it no tape what so ever and feels great without gloves. Id definetly recomend this to any one. Oh one thing i didnt like it the end cap. I took it off and put a gait 1/4 tape hard cap on it.

I have had mine for a few weeks and it bent significantly in my last game. How do I go about it in order to get a new shaft?
- laxgoalie6969 4/12/13 reply
You should either contact lax.com or if they say contact nike.
- DcLoVeR12soupy 4/07/13 reply
i have been playing with this shaft for about 2 seasons, fall ball and current outdoor season, and it has not dented but has scratched a lot! also when you slap check someone you will most likely get the color of their stick on yours but it wont come off. still a great strong light shaft though.
- ianian003 3/30/13 reply
nike and stx work together for lacrosse. the stallion and lakota are 99% the same. the stallion will fit.
- RelaxAndReLax 3/24/13 reply
I know this sounds really strange, but i was In Dick's the other day, and i was playign around with a yellow Vandal (I currently own a black/white vandal) and my current vandal seems to feel like a warrior krypto diamond, but the grip on the yellow vandal felt like a krypotolyte. Same year vandal, just different color and grip. Maybe the same on the website if you order it in yellow
- alau828 3/31/13 reply
Hey the difference in the grip and shaft is because the yellow and black doesn't have a grip while all the others do if you watch throne of string on YouTube he tells u the difference. It is only that color way.
- captaink 3/07/13 reply
Too soft a shaft for advanced/elite level play. Bent 2 shafts in two weeks, both on shots blocked by long poles. Great shot for speed, but the lightness without added strengthening alloys leaves the shaft too weak. Great for younger level play, but if you are playing HS lacrosse, this won't hold up. Might work for attack players, but not for heavy middie play
- Lacrosse-33 2/10/13 reply
How much different is this from the vapor? In weight, strength and feel.
- $nipe$ 1/14/13 reply
Pretty much any head should fit any shaft but you may have to drill a hole in the shaft to make it fit.
- jselb10 12/28/12 reply
just makin sure a lakota will fit on this right?
