The best pad ever played goalie for 5 years had 3 diff pads by far the best one only problem is your helmet can get stuck on the shoulders ifyour not carful all you have to do is move them down a bit and closer to the chest to stop that tho but seariosly you wont feel the hits even one the sides where the padding is less you get great protection

The Reebok: 9K chest is very protective, especially around the heart/ribcage, however the extra protection makes it slightly bulky and cumbersome. I would recommend it as a "practice" chest protector to avoid getting hurt during practice, and using a lighter, more flexible chest protector during practice.

Ok. So i am a freshman goalie that is on varsity. My high school team was in the summer ath ed. Then i used the maverick chest protector. When i just got the reebok 9k i got shot on by friends. It gives you a hell lot more padding than the maverick did. I would get busted in the shoulders a lot. But this has shoulder pads. Also if you are afraid to get hit in the chest dont be with this pad. It has a whole extra inch of pade covering the middle of your shest to protect all your insides. I recommend this to anybody. - Chad

it is good i had the warrior pad and it would leave me bruises under. this one you cant even feel it its great i recommend any goalie to get this its solid giid ortection and you can still manuver

it has a lot of sternum protection, but they are very immobile. Get these if you don't want a shot stoppin your heart or save a little bit more money for the players club for more flexibility

yes you can remove teh shoulders and these pads are awsome great protection and very good mobility
