STX AL 6000

I play hockey and I'm getting into lax. I bought a warrior outlaw head and just need a shaft. I don't care much about weight I just want a stick that will hold up is this stick worth 10 bucks?

It was my first stick and it held up great. A couple paint chips along the edges but no dents. Or at least I didn't have any on mine. Overall pretty good shaft for a starter.

But if getting a nicer shaft is an option I think I would go with that if I were you. But this is a good shaft for beginners just the paint chips and comes off a little.

i have this in a d pole and it's ok. it dented the first time i checked someone with it. even if you're just getting into lax, get a better shaft.

this is my first stick the only reasone i got this was becuase i didnt want to look like a spoiled poser my first year playing lax i knew this thing sucked dont get this unless this is your first seasone playing and ur under high school level this shaft sucks its heavy and it dents and i personaly just hate the feel of this shaft

people not sure if they are sticking to the game. but it's what 20 bucks? save your money for pads so you don't end up payin more for hospital bills and stay in the game with less broken fingers. coolest thing is since it doesn't break just fit it in a vice and bend it back. seriously get a better one if you can afford it.

I hate the cheap shafts cause i didnt think they could last but the brine python i had was too heavy and this was the only one i had so i put my Brine E3 on it and its the best combination GET IT AND THE E3! mits the best for FOGO middies its so incredibly light and doesnt dent as much as people say

um iguess its an desent shaft but after a game it will have very many dents in it. and i highly recommend u to do not get it if your on Defence even golie cause its a pretty bad shaft. but inless your willing to take the risk go ahead waste your money i dont care

the stx al6000+pro is slighly better the pro gets a 4 star review

i had one and the top 3 inches alway scratched or dented. its good for a begginers but get a new one asap

depends what age level you play at and how much your stick gets hit

but after you decide to play a certain position, buy a better stick! this stick sucks in the upper-levels of lacrosse because it is off balance as a D stick and the aluminum is prone to snapping and bending/being a little weighty compared to other shafts. don't know about the mid shaft though. ok first season shaft, it then breaks easily and is a little heavier than it should be.

for all those guys that think thier funny by posting stuff saying that this shaft is good just stop no1s laughing. for new people that want to get serious dont even waste your time looking at this shaft its ont worth it, wont last u through a season

i love this shaft it lite weight and durable and on top of that it has decent grip and its CHEAP get it if u need a spare shaft

I borrowed my friends AL6000 pro and I swear to god it's the thickest shaft I've ever seen. It's incredibly heavy too. I probably wont break

Why do all you idiots out there find it neccesary to hate on a shaft that is obviously for beginers its cheap. yea i get that. but it is week it will bend and dent but to tell the truth i've seen shafts that cost two to three times more break just as easily.also if you arn't slashing like an idiot this shaft can last for a year or two. so just stop whining like a baby.

I sat on my brothers brand new one and it bent, by a huge amount.

i went to my local sport store and got one of these for $30 with the STX AV8 head on it, i absolutely love it, its survived all i put it through (and thats an accomplishment)and because i got it in navy blue, everyone on my team calls me "blue" (they dont know my real name because i'm just "blue" to them) anyway its a great starting shaft and it holds many fond memories for me

this shaft was completely god aweful during the middle of one of my gamews last year i was plying midi and i went to0 go and wrap check a dude and i hit his elbow and the shaft completely bent in half and we tried to fix it but when trying to bend it back we ended up breaking it

I realize that Al 6000 sux...but...the STX Al 6000's or atleast the one I have are stornger than Gait Al 6000 but the STX 6000 is a bit heavier....I've put nice dents in Gait Al 6000's bit all that has happened to my shaft is a couple of scratches in the paint...I still want a new shaft tho

burning hot alloy gives this shaft graet fleibility. it only takes 5 psi to break it thats great

Aluminum shafts are attached to "complete sticks" which are meant for beginning players as a quick way to get into the sport. Aluminum shafts ARE WEAK! WHY WOULD YOU USE ONE IN A GAME?! I LAUGH AT YOU!

For $20, this shaft is a great back-up, or one to lend to your friends. Since it is alloy, it does bend easily, but who cares if you only use it in one game when your favorite stick breaks.

If someone is starting and and doesnt know if they will like lacrosse but pff! who doesnt! But its really good for beginners. Like goalie boy said its cheap. It does dent easily though. i had this shaft for my first one and i have so many dents in it. But it works. Lax on

I started with this shaft and it very very good for starting because it is light, cheap, and if you decide to quit (which you hopefully won't) you didn't waste alot of money

I have this in both d-pole and goalie pole. Goalie Pole, i hit it off the goal post bent it to a 90 8 inches off the head. D-Pole bent it a bit after a love tap to a football goal post. JUNK!!!!

I had this as my first D shaft. It's a good beginner head I guess. It dents like a mo at first and eventually well bend. But I had it for a year, and thus it was well worth it. Now, the attack shaft I had of these...yeah I broke three of them in a month...I would not suggest getting the attack side of it. But maybe then again I'm just unlucky enough to get three bad shafts one right after the other (not...).

I've had this pole for about 2 seasons worth lax on d... it hasn't broken yet but it sucks.. id save up moola even if ur a beginer and go for sumthin thats worth 60 or 70 and for the head on d get something STRONG u want sumthin with low wip, not bendy, heavy, and STRONG so ur pokechecks will hurt

how much whip on your stick is preference buddy.

on d not much so u can pass it far to the middies, also u dont want whip cause on d hopefully ur not shootin at the goal.

this shaft is a standard, octogon, aluminum shaft. I learned on this shaft and its good. tape is a must. will dent but will never bend or break.

does the brine answer head fit on this shaft? i have a red al 6000+pro and im buying a brine answer and i want to know if it fits on this shaft

Answer is the best head for the price its the only head i would use except the helix.. but it'd be wise to save up and buy a more expensive shaft

ok well im planning on having the answer last until next season then when i get more money att christmas time (i always get $125 at xmas) im gunna buy a new shaft and maybe a new head as well or just stick with the answer and buy an $80 shaft lol

As a beginner at defense you are left with few choices. No quality shaft can be purchased within your price range, but be prepared. This stick is often bended beyond repair. I have already gone through one in 3 weeks, but really it is your only option, because a beginner d stick from any company will have the same issues, they just are not strong enough

This is a cheap beginners shaft, works good for goalies that play D and don't need it often. Durable to an extent. Great for back up shaft!

Ive been playing for about 4 years and right now im a middie. My coach says i should try longpole middie but i only have like 50 bucks. should i get?

do not get this shaft especially if transitioning from a middie to longpole. This stick is one of the heaviest I've ever used in my lacrosse carrier. If you're a middie you won't be used to this kind of weight. You're better off borrowing 50 more dollars from a friend and getting a better shaft that's lighter.

Well i just started lax. I have the defence stick. This shaft is really heavy! But its really strong and its aluminum. I played iabout 4 games soo far. And there is no dent. I actually left dent on many other people's sticks and broke one so far! So u should get this if ur short on money.

This stick may not be light, but it sure is good for straight up breaking the attackmen in your way!

Ok, everybody having a war out there about this shaft, listen to me. There are two types of AL6000's. There's the new version, which is shiny silver and more ridged; and the old one, which comes in several colors, and has a more rounded handle. The new ones SUCK. They break as easily as an Alloy2000. The old ones are simply amazing. I've had it for two seasons before buying Titanium and there hasn't been a single dent or anything on it. And no, I wasn't a bench-warmer. I'm on starting defense and I played every game. When I got a new shaft I tried breaking this. I hit it against a steel pole and it didn't dent or even bend. Then I took a heavy rock and tried smashing it, but not even that did it! I seriously don't know what's up with it, but it won't break no matter what I do. Which is good!

you must be prety weak not to not dent a piece of crap shaft. it sucks, no lie, you probably do benchwarm if you use this shaft and a AV8. hey man, guess what? you're a tool go practice and try not to suck as bad

I can snap this stick over my knee.....pretty light buts its sooo weak I can't even use it in a game - great for practices though.

warrior al2000 is better

if u r gonna play anything hs or above u need to get at least an alloy but those dont even hold up. u need to get a titanium. go spend the extra 20 bux and get an f15 of cu31

there is almost no titanium in the F 15 titanium, and the CU31 is aluminum also. the warrior titans are titan classic, titan pro, and levitation

cu31 is 7005 aluminum. if a shaft was "pure" titanium it would be incredibly heavy and pricey/end rant

I have this shaft for a year and it is still going strong. There there is one bad thing about it... it is very heavy and weights about 5 pounds. So i would not get this shaft at all it is a waste of money.

ok well mine is doing good it didnt have any dents after about 1 or 2 years and then i was using it as a sword soo mine is doin good i think beggeners should probably get this stik because its a nice easy and light stik and these go really good with X2's. its a good deal, for beggeners or if u wanna save money

When i started playing i had this with a Rotor head and it was pretty good for my first year, granted now i am off to better things. If your a starter give it a shot.

the AL6000 is a beginners shaft, an inexpensive starting shaft for a first year player. If you look statistically, this shaft is lighter then most aluminum shafts, such as the warrior AL2000 and the brine F10. other then a beginners stick, buy this stick as a backup shaft, just incase your shaft breaks. For example, if you use weaker and lighter shafts such as C405 prototypes, then you might want this shaft-just incase it breaks

These really do dent and bend easy, ive gone through about 3 of these in boxlax already...Anyway Im pretty stupid for using an al6000 in BOX, but hey, i can get em for 10 bucks

C 405 is way stronger, thats why it costs more

the c405 is one of the strongest and litest shafts on the market.

This is agreat shaft for beginners. It is also very stong, I have had mine for 1.5 seasons and it only has one dent and that is from a 6' kid slashing me. It is haevy but for us dee guys thats is sometimes nice because it hits harder.

i was at practice today and my shaft not only dented evry time it got hit, but On one hit the shaft snapped into two peices. This shaft isnt worth it's cheap price, now i have a krypto pro and it rocks

I have had this shaft for two months and yes its a little heavy but its a great shaft for a begginer or someone that doesnt have the money for a high or mid priced stick its not that heavy i mean its only like a couple ounces lighter and i have snapped several highly priced sticks but if u have a littl more money id get a Warrior cu31 platinum

cu31's are not good at all, overpricecd and lacking in performance and grip

for 25$ this is a great shaft. It is not the lightest shaft in the world, but it does wonders with slap and lift checks. I have had attackmen/middies ask me to stop slapping them with it cause it hurt so much. I lov the wieght of the stick. I have played for two years with the same al6000 till i twisted the shaft when a 150lbish guy feel on top of it and i didn't let go of the handle. It would have done the same thing to anyother kind of shaft, titanium or whatever. There are still 0 dents in that shaft, after hitting it against goal posts, allowing teammates to hit it as hard as possible with there titanium, and breaking countless attackmens sticks. if you like light, stay away. but this is a great deal

I bet u have the older, Blue al6000, not thtese new al pros.... the new ones dent like jello, but i have 2 of the older blue al6000's and they just tear other shafts apart for some reason....

Great beginner stick, but heavy. If you're into playing lacrosse, look at more expensive shafts, but look carefully because some are definately over-rated.

on the down side i bent the hell out of this stick today, cross-checking, and its heavier than anything, but on the up, 2 guys went down with one hit and all it took was a cheap stick and a minute in the box. also this stick has broken an attack stick and a collar bone.
