i bet this sucks
(no subject) - 4/18/13 reply

I play hockey and I'm getting into lax. I bought a warrior outlaw head and just need a shaft. I don't care much about weight I just want a stick that will hold up is this stick worth 10 bucks?
(no subject) - 5/04/13 reply

It was my first stick and it held up great. A couple paint chips along the edges but no dents. Or at least I didn't have any on mine. Overall pretty good shaft for a starter.
(no subject) - 5/04/13 reply

But if getting a nicer shaft is an option I think I would go with that if I were you. But this is a good shaft for beginners just the paint chips and comes off a little.
(no subject) - 5/19/13 reply

this was my first shaft and it does the job and now its 5 dollars now i have a nike vandal but i still like this one
(no subject) - 4/08/13 reply

my first shaft ever. i had it for 3 years-played elite tournaments with it and only had a few scratches. L.VE this shaft,

i could buy this with just my lax.com points..wow
(no subject) - 10/11/11 reply

brrooooooo - 9/22/11 reply

great shaft, i had like a zillion nasty rips with this thing and its still pumpin. it also never dents, get this shaft, it puts titanium to shame

(no subject) - 4/23/11 reply

Perfect for getting your forearms jacked cause it weighs like 600 pounds
(no subject) - 4/22/11 reply

i have this in a d pole and it's ok. it dented the first time i checked someone with it. even if you're just getting into lax, get a better shaft.
this sukz - 3/24/11 reply

this is my first stick the only reasone i got this was becuase i didnt want to look like a spoiled poser my first year playing lax i knew this thing sucked dont get this unless this is your first seasone playing and ur under high school level this shaft sucks its heavy and it dents and i personaly just hate the feel of this shaft
for starters - 2/13/11 reply

people not sure if they are sticking to the game. but it's what 20 bucks? save your money for pads so you don't end up payin more for hospital bills and stay in the game with less broken fingers. coolest thing is since it doesn't break just fit it in a vice and bend it back. seriously get a better one if you can afford it.
(no subject) - 9/03/10 reply

This shaft sucks. Not even good for beginners bent in half when i checked a guy
(no subject) - 3/08/11 reply

that isnt true because if you were a beginner u wouldnt know enough about sticks to compare
(no subject) - 9/22/11 reply

dude apparently you suck because you are not supposed to break your shaft retard
(no subject) - 8/04/10 reply

it a pretty good shaft for beginners
(no subject) - 7/19/10 reply

starter shaft, if you have it in highschool it'll break or bend real quick
(no subject) - 7/11/10 reply

alright in fifth and sixth grade but sucks passed then
SUCKS - 6/16/10 reply

worst stick ever. ive had it for four years. its all dented. its heavy. i bent it by cross checking someone in the throat.
dude... - 4/10/11 reply

alright bro u shouldnt have been crosschecking some dude in the throat so thats your fault
same - 6/15/10 reply

isnt the amp the same its the same metal
the amp is different - 7/04/10 reply

the amp has stx's alloy this just has aluminum whitch is heavier
(no subject) - 5/10/10 reply

SUPER HEAVY
(no subject) - 4/20/10 reply

great shaft for $20 its durabe and really light get it ive had it for 2 years and not a dent buy it
(no subject) - 6/17/10 reply

you must not play at all jbaker
surprisingly durable - 3/02/10 reply

I hate the cheap shafts cause i didnt think they could last but the brine python i had was too heavy and this was the only one i had so i put my Brine E3 on it and its the best combination GET IT AND THE E3! mits the best for FOGO middies its so incredibly light and doesnt dent as much as people say
well - 2/27/10 reply

um iguess its an desent shaft but after a game it will have very many dents in it. and i highly recommend u to do not get it if your on Defence even golie cause its a pretty bad shaft. but inless your willing to take the risk go ahead waste your money i dont care
al6000 - 10/04/09 reply

i have played 4 games with it and there are dents all over the place but other wise its great
good for begginer defense - 7/16/09 reply

the stx al6000+pro is slighly better the pro gets a 4 star review
dont know what to think!!!!! - 7/12/09 reply

when ever i go over to a school or park to practice lacrosse and my bro or my dad hit it with there stick i am afraid it well bend or get dented shold I be? tell me plz
yes - 7/22/09 reply

i had one and the top 3 inches alway scratched or dented. its good for a begginers but get a new one asap
(no subject) - 4/20/10 reply

depends what age level you play at and how much your stick gets hit
its ok for new players... - 6/30/09 reply

but after you decide to play a certain position, buy a better stick! this stick sucks in the upper-levels of lacrosse because it is off balance as a D stick and the aluminum is prone to snapping and bending/being a little weighty compared to other shafts. don't know about the mid shaft though. ok first season shaft, it then breaks easily and is a little heavier than it should be.
not funy - 6/22/09 reply

for all those guys that think thier funny by posting stuff saying that this shaft is good just stop no1s laughing. for new people that want to get serious dont even waste your time looking at this shaft its ont worth it, wont last u through a season
STX - 6/13/09 reply

i love this shaft it lite weight and durable and on top of that it has decent grip and its CHEAP get it if u need a spare shaft
AMAZING - 6/03/09 reply

I borrowed my friends AL6000 pro and I swear to god it's the thickest shaft I've ever seen. It's incredibly heavy too. I probably wont break
WEAK BEGGINERS - 5/24/09 reply

Begeners shaft - 5/13/09 reply

I have a dolumite dimind it's made from titaniam and is one of the best shafts out there
help - 4/30/09 reply

wuts the best shaft for D under 110
(no subject) - 4/30/09 reply

I think that a decent shaft for under 110 would be the brine f15 but thats just my opinion
F55 - 5/11/10 reply

Stop!!! - 4/16/09 reply

Why do all you idiots out there find it neccesary to hate on a shaft that is obviously for beginers its cheap. yea i get that. but it is week it will bend and dent but to tell the truth i've seen shafts that cost two to three times more break just as easily.also if you arn't slashing like an idiot this shaft can last for a year or two. so just stop whining like a baby.
totally a beginner shaft - 4/11/09 reply

This shaft would only be good for players who just learned what lacrosse is about thrre minutes ago.
Worst shaft ever - 3/30/09 reply

I sat on my brothers brand new one and it bent, by a huge amount.
good for poor people - 3/30/09 reply

i swear by it as a new player - 3/23/09 reply

i went to my local sport store and got one of these for $30 with the STX AV8 head on it, i absolutely love it, its survived all i put it through (and thats an accomplishment)and because i got it in navy blue, everyone on my team calls me "blue" (they dont know my real name because i'm just "blue" to them) anyway its a great starting shaft and it holds many fond memories for me
this shaft is god aweful - 3/28/09 reply

this shaft was completely god aweful during the middle of one of my gamews last year i was plying midi and i went to0 go and wrap check a dude and i hit his elbow and the shaft completely bent in half and we tried to fix it but when trying to bend it back we ended up breaking it
same - 4/13/09 reply

exactly the same thing happened to me
hey... - 4/16/09 reply

Do either of you realize its illegal to wrap so... if you had been smart you would still have a shaft.
first d pole broke - 3/22/09 reply

suckes
the fresh scent of newbies - 3/04/09 reply

ahh the smell of fresh newbies coming into the game What is the first stick they pick up at sports authority? the STX AL6000 with the av8 head so nice reminds me of the start of spring hahahahah
haha - 3/07/09 reply

i remember doing that =P
weak...but...better.... - 3/01/09 reply

I realize that Al 6000 sux...but...the STX Al 6000's or atleast the one I have are stornger than Gait Al 6000 but the STX 6000 is a bit heavier....I've put nice dents in Gait Al 6000's bit all that has happened to my shaft is a couple of scratches in the paint...I still want a new shaft tho
read - 1/29/09 reply

burning hot alloy gives this shaft graet fleibility. it only takes 5 psi to break it thats great
ALright - 12/23/08 reply

This was my first stick when I started and its a good toss around stick
(no subject) - 12/03/08 reply

good back up
best shaft ever!!! READ - 12/02/08 reply

superlight 3.50 ounces lightest on the market!#!# very strong - i shot i 50 times with a M9 army pistol i got from my uncle when he served in the army NO DENTS!!! amazing grip feels like a smooth snake - AND ONLY $19 i recommend getting 10 of them ud never need a shaft again in ur life WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!
dude r u dumb? - 1/26/09 reply

dude wat r u smoking? this shaft isnt that strong. and by the way this shafts grip is the same as all the other aluminum shafts. have u ever evenn played lax before?
ARE YOU HIGH!!!!!????????????? - 6/02/09 reply

dont get al 6000's!!!!!! - 11/27/08 reply

they feel like plastic and there heavy... over i give them a negative 50 trillion and there new name should be called brine suckers
worst!!!! - 8/24/08 reply

i laugh at this shaft (completely bended in a 90 degree angle in the middle of a game)
Are you kidding us?! - 10/02/08 reply

Aluminum shafts are attached to "complete sticks" which are meant for beginning players as a quick way to get into the sport. Aluminum shafts ARE WEAK! WHY WOULD YOU USE ONE IN A GAME?! I LAUGH AT YOU!
YA dude seriously - 11/15/08 reply

its a $20 aluminum shaft wat do u expect ur the RERE 4 using it walsh
(no subject) - 7/14/08 reply

i had this shaft and i bent it in 4 weeks
woo i got the 350th review!!! - 7/10/08 reply

by the way, this shaft sux
G-ma - 7/06/08 reply

My grandma has this.
Good Back-Up - 6/13/08 reply

For $20, this shaft is a great back-up, or one to lend to your friends. Since it is alloy, it does bend easily, but who cares if you only use it in one game when your favorite stick breaks.
Beginner - 6/04/08 reply

If someone is starting and and doesnt know if they will like lacrosse but pff! who doesnt! But its really good for beginners. Like goalie boy said its cheap. It does dent easily though. i had this shaft for my first one and i have so many dents in it. But it works. Lax on
beginners - 5/29/08 reply

I started with this shaft and it very very good for starting because it is light, cheap, and if you decide to quit (which you hopefully won't) you didn't waste alot of money
Do Not Buy - 5/11/08 reply

I have this in both d-pole and goalie pole. Goalie Pole, i hit it off the goal post bent it to a 90 8 inches off the head. D-Pole bent it a bit after a love tap to a football goal post. JUNK!!!!
Eh... - 5/10/08 reply

I had this as my first D shaft. It's a good beginner head I guess. It dents like a mo at first and eventually well bend. But I had it for a year, and thus it was well worth it. Now, the attack shaft I had of these...yeah I broke three of them in a month...I would not suggest getting the attack side of it. But maybe then again I'm just unlucky enough to get three bad shafts one right after the other (not...).
DEFENSE - 5/08/08 reply

I've had this pole for about 2 seasons worth lax on d... it hasn't broken yet but it sucks.. id save up moola even if ur a beginer and go for sumthin thats worth 60 or 70 and for the head on d get something STRONG u want sumthin with low wip, not bendy, heavy, and STRONG so ur pokechecks will hurt
(no subject) - 5/08/08 reply

how much whip on your stick is preference buddy.
whip... - 5/10/08 reply

on d not much so u can pass it far to the middies, also u dont want whip cause on d hopefully ur not shootin at the goal.
LIke the revo pro - 3/16/09 reply

oh yeah - 4/29/08 reply

got it 3 years ago---> still usin
standard beginner - 4/21/08 reply

this shaft is a standard, octogon, aluminum shaft. I learned on this shaft and its good. tape is a must. will dent but will never bend or break.
ANSWER - 4/20/08 reply

does the brine answer head fit on this shaft? i have a red al 6000+pro and im buying a brine answer and i want to know if it fits on this shaft
Smart choice - 4/25/08 reply

Answer is the best head for the price its the only head i would use except the helix.. but it'd be wise to save up and buy a more expensive shaft
ok - 4/27/08 reply

ok well im planning on having the answer last until next season then when i get more money att christmas time (i always get $125 at xmas) im gunna buy a new shaft and maybe a new head as well or just stick with the answer and buy an $80 shaft lol
yeah it fits - 4/28/08 reply

a kid on my team has one of these shafts with an answer. not a bad combo
read about answer here! - 5/01/08 reply

the head is so light and its a good combo with this shaft!
DONT BUY - 4/19/08 reply

wrecked in 2 weeks
(no subject) - 4/16/08 reply

its good 4 a begginer
not much of a choice - 4/09/08 reply

As a beginner at defense you are left with few choices. No quality shaft can be purchased within your price range, but be prepared. This stick is often bended beyond repair. I have already gone through one in 3 weeks, but really it is your only option, because a beginner d stick from any company will have the same issues, they just are not strong enough
Beginner Shaft - 4/08/08 reply

This is a cheap beginners shaft, works good for goalies that play D and don't need it often. Durable to an extent. Great for back up shaft!
Good beginners - 4/03/08 reply

strong as hell and good beginner stick
begginer shaft - 3/25/08 reply

good shaft. Good for begginers with low Price range.
true - 4/02/08 reply

you're right on that and if you practice your checks with it, they'll be faster when you get a lighter stick.
strong as hell - 3/24/08 reply

not the lightest out there though.
STRENGTH... - 5/10/08 reply

its kinda strong.. definetly last u 2 seasons but its rly heavy GET THE TITANIUM save up 4 it, itll prob last u through highschool
good for its price - 3/23/08 reply

Not a very good shaft. really heavy, but it is pretty durable. good for it's price
5 years and counting - 3/13/08 reply

i have had this since 7th grade and i am still useing it in 11th
(no subject) - 3/21/08 reply

What position do you play?
should i get? - 3/22/08 reply

depends... - 5/10/08 reply

depends if ur gonna get it long or short depends what position u play depends how serious playin lax u are depends what grade...
Should i get? - 3/22/08 reply

Ive been playing for about 4 years and right now im a middie. My coach says i should try longpole middie but i only have like 50 bucks. should i get?
NO - 4/02/08 reply

do not get this shaft especially if transitioning from a middie to longpole. This stick is one of the heaviest I've ever used in my lacrosse carrier. If you're a middie you won't be used to this kind of weight. You're better off borrowing 50 more dollars from a friend and getting a better shaft that's lighter.
Why? - 3/11/08 reply

What is the point of making this stick. It is a piece of junk
(no subject) - 3/17/08 reply

Because its a D stick for beginners and its cheap
Good shaft - 3/04/08 reply

Well i just started lax. I have the defence stick. This shaft is really heavy! But its really strong and its aluminum. I played iabout 4 games soo far. And there is no dent. I actually left dent on many other people's sticks and broke one so far! So u should get this if ur short on money.
(no subject) - 3/09/08 reply

are u on steroids or crack
good shaft - 2/10/08 reply

This stick may not be light, but it sure is good for straight up breaking the attackmen in your way!
OMG BEST SHAFT EVER - 1/16/08 reply

I love this thing...just playin', its a peice of crap
so freaking meh. - 1/24/07 reply

no grip, bend with a strong check. waste of money. even if you get it free->waste.
good - 1/21/07 reply

this is a good beginner shaft
(no subject) - 1/21/07 reply

Its great for a first stick
Crap - 10/25/06 reply

This stick is crap. i used it a half a season and gave up on it. nowadays it just sits in my garage. the only thing that it is good for is raking leaves in fall
this thing sucks - 10/15/06 reply

I got one hit that put a huge dent and bent it like crazy (lasts a couple of weeks.
pretty good - 10/05/06 reply

this is a pretty good shaft. if you can handle the weight i don think it will be a problem. Ive dented all kinds of shafts with it and i dont even have one
(no subject) - 10/04/06 reply

It is pretty good for a cheap shaft. Mine has a lot of dents but hasnt broken yet.
Listen - 7/31/05 reply

Ok, everybody having a war out there about this shaft, listen to me. There are two types of AL6000's. There's the new version, which is shiny silver and more ridged; and the old one, which comes in several colors, and has a more rounded handle. The new ones SUCK. They break as easily as an Alloy2000. The old ones are simply amazing. I've had it for two seasons before buying Titanium and there hasn't been a single dent or anything on it. And no, I wasn't a bench-warmer. I'm on starting defense and I played every game. When I got a new shaft I tried breaking this. I hit it against a steel pole and it didn't dent or even bend. Then I took a heavy rock and tried smashing it, but not even that did it! I seriously don't know what's up with it, but it won't break no matter what I do. Which is good!
wow... - 8/03/05 reply

you must be prety weak not to not dent a piece of crap shaft. it sucks, no lie, you probably do benchwarm if you use this shaft and a AV8. hey man, guess what? you're a tool go practice and try not to suck as bad
he's actually half right - 4/02/08 reply

the old AL6000 is really strong and heavy and if he's a tool than what heck are you? Because it was pretty toolsie of you to leave a comment like that.
Ha - 2/06/05 reply

I can snap this stick over my knee.....pretty light buts its sooo weak I can't even use it in a game - great for practices though.
al6000 - 11/20/04 reply

warrior al2000 is better
Absouloutley horrible - 6/19/04 reply

incredibly weak not to heavy but its is so weak. i bet the strongest kid on your lacrosse team could bend this barehanded.
aluminum? - 2/22/04 reply

if u r gonna play anything hs or above u need to get at least an alloy but those dont even hold up. u need to get a titanium. go spend the extra 20 bux and get an f15 of cu31
f 15 has 3% titanium - 4/02/04 reply

reply - 4/02/04 reply

there is almost no titanium in the F 15 titanium, and the CU31 is aluminum also. the warrior titans are titan classic, titan pro, and levitation
(no subject) - 6/03/09 reply

cu31 is 7005 aluminum. if a shaft was "pure" titanium it would be incredibly heavy and pricey/end rant
its great - 2/16/04 reply

its light
decent - 2/15/04 reply

good for screwing around with but id put in a couple extra and get a f15
this shaft is alright - 1/19/04 reply

I have this shaft for a year and it is still going strong. There there is one bad thing about it... it is very heavy and weights about 5 pounds. So i would not get this shaft at all it is a waste of money.
mines doin good - 11/27/03 reply

ok well mine is doing good it didnt have any dents after about 1 or 2 years and then i was using it as a sword soo mine is doin good i think beggeners should probably get this stik because its a nice easy and light stik and these go really good with X2's. its a good deal, for beggeners or if u wanna save money
Its ok - 11/06/03 reply

When i started playing i had this with a Rotor head and it was pretty good for my first year, granted now i am off to better things. If your a starter give it a shot.
first stick - 10/31/03 reply

this my first shaft and I slashed the hell out of everything. dents real easily and if it gets a good hit on it itll bend, but it held up all my first year, than i got a brine f55 superlight, hella good stick
it sucks - 9/13/03 reply

its a very bad shaft
Don't judge a shaft that quickly - 9/27/03 reply

the AL6000 is a beginners shaft, an inexpensive starting shaft for a first year player. If you look statistically, this shaft is lighter then most aluminum shafts, such as the warrior AL2000 and the brine F10. other then a beginners stick, buy this stick as a backup shaft, just incase your shaft breaks. For example, if you use weaker and lighter shafts such as C405 prototypes, then you might want this shaft-just incase it breaks
Yeah but still - 10/17/03 reply

These really do dent and bend easy, ive gone through about 3 of these in boxlax already...Anyway Im pretty stupid for using an al6000 in BOX, but hey, i can get em for 10 bucks
it is not for box lax - 2/14/04 reply

this stick doesnt dent easily . i have had this shaft for a year and it still hasn't even scratched.
c405 is stronger - 2/20/04 reply

the title says it all
DUH - 4/02/04 reply

C 405 is way stronger, thats why it costs more
are you crazy! - 2/22/04 reply

the c405 is one of the strongest and litest shafts on the market.
except for those other ones - 4/02/04 reply

like the titaniums, C 555, brines, harrows, and others
Good Shaft - 9/13/03 reply

This is agreat shaft for beginners. It is also very stong, I have had mine for 1.5 seasons and it only has one dent and that is from a 6' kid slashing me. It is haevy but for us dee guys thats is sometimes nice because it hits harder.
difference??? - 7/05/03 reply

i have a al600pro on a hype head and i am wondering what is the diffrence between the al600 and the al600 pro thanks
Shaft suxx - 5/06/03 reply

i was at practice today and my shaft not only dented evry time it got hit, but On one hit the shaft snapped into two peices. This shaft isnt worth it's cheap price, now i have a krypto pro and it rocks
Whats wrong with yall - 4/10/03 reply

I have had this shaft for two months and yes its a little heavy but its a great shaft for a begginer or someone that doesnt have the money for a high or mid priced stick its not that heavy i mean its only like a couple ounces lighter and i have snapped several highly priced sticks but if u have a littl more money id get a Warrior cu31 platinum
dont get cu31 - 8/28/03 reply

cu31's are not good at all, overpricecd and lacking in performance and grip
great deal - 4/10/03 reply

for 25$ this is a great shaft. It is not the lightest shaft in the world, but it does wonders with slap and lift checks. I have had attackmen/middies ask me to stop slapping them with it cause it hurt so much. I lov the wieght of the stick. I have played for two years with the same al6000 till i twisted the shaft when a 150lbish guy feel on top of it and i didn't let go of the handle. It would have done the same thing to anyother kind of shaft, titanium or whatever. There are still 0 dents in that shaft, after hitting it against goal posts, allowing teammates to hit it as hard as possible with there titanium, and breaking countless attackmens sticks. if you like light, stay away. but this is a great deal
