Do they have a sight where you can customize them to your school colors? |
|
 | - PearsonNunn 3/13/13 reply
I bought these last season and they were horrible. They are lightweight but that's about it. I played attack and was always bruised and they started to fall apart from day one. Not sure if I got poor quality arm pads or if they all are this bad. I recently purchased some cell 2's and they are some much better! If I had know about the problems with the assaults I would have saved my money and bought the cell 2's first. Do not buy these they are way over priced and you will regret it! |

these are great super comfortable and no resistance when moving your arm. they must run kinda small because im real skinny and mediums fit perfect. but im sure they will stretch though |

as far as flexibility goes, you should choose the assaults over the k18s. But for protection i would go with the k18s |
|
 | - johnmacton@att.net 6/04/12 reply
What are the similarities and differences between k18 line 2 arm guard and these. Which one is better as far as flexibility and protection |
|
 | | - HTownLax18 6/05/12 reply
Similarities: Mesh support, Velcro straps, Comfortable, Breathable, rubber grip inside to hold in place,
Differences: HD Polymer instead of D3o, a little slimmer then K18s, more tight fitting then k18s, run a little bit smaller in size then K18s, HD Polymer sheds water better then K18s
Heres My opinion
PROTECTION: K18 (Thicker padding)
FLEXIBILITY: Depends on preference (Really not much difference once you get them worn in)
COMFORT: Personal preference (both are very comfortable)
It really all depends on what you like. Personally I wear the Assaults but I wouldn't mind wearing K18s either.

Should i get, cell 2's, k18's, or these. I play mid, i want good protection but good flexibility. and i also want something that can breathe. i had the brine shakedowns but after 7 indoor games, the bottom strap on my left arm guard ripped. My birthday is coming up soon. Help me out!! |

 | - HTownLax18 2/19/12 reply
I have had these pads for a while and LOVE them. They run a little bit small, but only very little. I am 5'10 and 143 pounds and I wear the mediums. Great flexibility, comfort, and looks great. If you want better protection though get the K18s. These have good protection but not as good as the K18s. They should be a little bit cheaper in my opinion but they are still good for the price. Great pads for attackmen and middies (I play both). |

 | - Ming10 11/17/11 reply
I just got these, I was in between the Maverick Rome and these, I also have the K18s and these fit awesome. There is not as much protection as the K18s but these Assaults are form fitting and more comfortable. They have similar technology which holds them in place even during a game when you sweat. I am 5'7 and 110lbs I got these in a Med and they fit snug but are the lightest and most comfortable AG I have worn and tested. |
|
 | - engebretsens 9/02/11 reply
so i bought these in an XL thinking that since im big theyd be the right fit. Im 6'2 and 170 lbs. the XL kept slipping in the middle of games and i looked quite tacky pulling them up. these barely fit a 230lbs defensman on our team. a Large will be great for anyone up to 190 lbs, unless you are a huge boybuilder and have ginormous arms. overall for the padding protection, these are like no other. the only place they hurt when hit is where they dont protect. if you hit anywhere on them they wont hurt. ive had a d-pole snap when hitting these with them on. overall great arm. guard, but only get it if you play attack. if you play mid or def, get the arm pad. |
|
 | - brosephmyers 7/28/11 reply
I'm 5'11, 180 lb. and i just got these in a L. They fit incredible. I got them in navy and the color is very good. They are very lightweight and incredibly comfortable. You don't know comfort until you try these. They hold in place on your arms very well. They will most likely come down to where your glove ends, slightly above it, if the dont, they don't fit correct. the protection is good, i play attack and i really dont care about protection but these do provide good protection. I know they are pretty pricey but they are worth it. |
|
 | - tarheels9 7/23/11 reply
Ik some may not agree but i don't see why these are so great. I tried them on and yeah they're light and they have good flexibility, but theyre protection is not up to par. they'd be good for middies but if your an attackman who dodges you'd get a few bruises |

|
 | - allaboutlax33@gmail.com 6/23/11 reply
I played with this other guy in my men's league he had these asked if I could check them out. By far the lightest elbows I've ever held, the fit is great not alot of sliding down you're arm, and the protection is an A without a doubt. Just wonder how the AP's are compared to these AG's alot cheaper but look like they cover less of you're arm. Go with the AG's for Attack and the AP's if you're a Middie. |

These are great man. I felt that the arm guards were more flexible than the pads, but it's up to you. I'm 5'8 and 125 lbs. and I got the larges, because the guards and pads both run small. I would get these for either a middie or attackman. They're totally worth it. |
|
 | | - robinson.lax 5/22/11 reply
These. They provide you with more protection than the arm guards but these are so light and provide such good ventilation that it feels like nothing is even on your arm. Padding isn't as good as other pads but these give you the most protection you can get for how light they are. |

between these, the arm pads, K18 II ap, and the maverick maybach mid ap, which is better for an mostly offensive midi.
i like the Assault ap's but they seem to spaced out. |

Definitely get the XL. I'm about the same size as you and went to try on the larges and they fit but they are tight and I feel I could wear them but they would either stretch out or be really tight and suffocate your arm. |

the compfort and protecting of these is worth the extra $ and they will last long. |

I can't tell you the empires will last forever because I don't know yet, but I have had them and played in them for a little while and I really like them. They're worth the price they are so far. I don't know about these assaults though. I guess it comes down to how much you're willing to spend |
|
 | - avince 12/15/10 reply
if your going to buy assaults you might as well by the AG... they have alot more protection than the AP and just as much flexibility and comfort... the arm pads are honestly way too small for attack and still not enough for middie... get these. only problem is the velcro is annoying cuz the upper strap is the soft part and is smaller so the sticky part of the velcro will stick to your jersey sometimes but it doesnt unstrap the straps. |
