so would it be a good idea if ur a goalie who likes to run the ball up to wear any of the little elbow sleeves to get a little bit of protection from slashing or would the reduce your ability to make saves?

i wore these in a tournement (had to) and didnt bother me at all

Does anybody know anything about these pads? Im a Defender, just starting my first highschool JV season, and i need better armpads. Im 6'2 about 200 lbs, and i have pretty big biceps and arms will larges fit? Also, which of the three: These, Brine lopro ap def, or maverik maybach def arm pads would be the best choice?

dont get the lopros. they arnt comfortable at all. i would get the cells

vapor ap. im a midfielder/attackmen i play both equally. looking for more flexibility and mobility then anything else

just elbow. like only the cap. they feel so nice and protect well there though. they just dont cover a lot of area

im 6"1 at about 220 lbs how do you think these would fit on my arms plus i sweat a lot and read it doesnt absorb a lot?

they arent that bad for absorption because their so small that it doesnt get too hot or anything. the sweat also doesnt make them slide too much because the sleeve and strap are so good on these, especially if your big. larges should be perfect because they'll stretch on you a little, so they wont slide. like im 5' 10" 180 and i wear mediums so that they stretch a little, but i could wear larges. sweat wont be a big deal

ya they are very good, but if you don't like yur forearms getting hit then you might want some D pads from Reebock

I have had these arm guards for a while and my elbows are starting to hurt a little.

I have lo pros and I love them and there pretty flexible and offer pretty good protection.

Get these if you play defense. You won't be disappointed. They don't go anywhere, unlike the horrible shoguns that would slide down your arms all the time. The protection level right around your elbow is definitely solid. The only downside is they can almost be a little on the tight side. Highly recommended tho

dude i hate my shoguns. all they do is slide all up and down my arm. it sucks. hopefully the strap on these will make these stay on better.

You're wearing shoguns in your profile pic. I own Shoguns they slip a lot because they lack the sleeve.

The cells are a lot better than the shoguns. I had the shoguns last season, and they are horrible. The cells don't go anywhere; the strap isn't even necessary, so you could probably cut it off. These are a little snug, but it sounds like Brine's new ones are horribly tight judging from the reviews. A bunch of the players on teams sponsored by stx are rocking these, even a lot of middies. Definitely get them if you're in the market for elbow pads; just get the larges unless you have very small arms.

I've had these for about 2 months now. They Don't slide down at all. we played at a tournament, and didn't feel any sweat on em after the games. I got slashed a couple times, but then again... you get over it. Very nice pads, and very comfortable. Very good buy.

What Position?

I play with STX armpads and I was wondering if these are like the shogun armpads.

these are a lot like the shogun d they are different but in a very small way. They dont really slip too too much but they are a little flawed. They offer good protection and are flexable. Im happy with them and they come stock in white so thats pretty ballin

Seeing as the original shogun ds were practically steel on your arms would this be overkill with the whole isoblox thing? Also are these bulky at all or slip down the arm? Whats the flex, comfort like.

yes, we all know that the shoguns were an extremly great pad for defenders and midfielders. But, I went to a tournament recently in rochester where stx was showing of the new cell line. I saw these pads and tryed them on. There a great choice for defenders and middies who like low profiel fit. For the isobloc tech.,it makes the pad extremly moveable. They dont slip much and I'm planning on getting them. Like the shoguns, they are low profile, protechtive, and have all around great features.
