This thing is so bad. 90% of lax is flow ok well yeah that explains it. Look at it. It has rubber on it. I was playing against a kid with one. IN overtime the ball hit the pocket and the stick bent backwards and the ball went into the goal. I mean it was a nasty low to high ripper but this thing sucks. ECLIPSE all day long!!!!

Its not like the rubber parts are completely rubber... there is plastic underneath it the rubber is only to absorb some shock

i hope you realize that was the head being to old and beat up not the plastic parts a kid i played with showed me his old void that did the same thing

this is a very flexable head. many better heads

really flimsy is horrible with rebounds. i use my back up eclipse more than i use my gaurdian.

The Golmaster is good, no complaints, but the Eclipse is byfar the best goalie head I find, theres also the Nemises, but its a bt more pricy

i have 2 guardians and they are great, the eclipse is more popular but the guardian is basically a more advanced eclipse. they are really similar.

the guardian is the best. its the biggest and the lightest. kicks the crap out of the eraser and eclipse. i use this and a nemisis but this one is boss.

the nemesis is the heaviest head out there pretty much. this, the eraser and the eclipse are by general consensus the lightest goalie heads out there. And tslax, go with hard mesh. soft stretches and is like a trampoline taking shots

go with 12 diamond (sixdiamond for middie sticks)or hard mesh

i always go with 10D its like a cushion

Its way easier to break in and holds the ball like canadian mesh for attackman

i have this head and the eraser and i have played with a nemisis one time and i like the eraser the best its probably the best head i have played with. i would also look at the eclips thats a really good head

hi. i am a rough rider that has played a wopping 2 minutes and 37 seconds and i already made it to 5th string on my team!!! behind edward the wheel chair wonder. i need a new head to fit my aloy6000 i know that that is a pretty good shaft but i need a head to compliment it. i was leaning to the warpath or the warrior outlaw and i know that i dont deserve those xtremly high performance heads but i just got my allowance of 35$...any suggestions???

i don't have it but soft mesh is all ways better for golie heads because it make it easier to catch!!! but 6-dimand is really good to!!! not hard mesh though!!!

all mesh is really the same once it's been broken in, but the less diamonds, the more control you get in my opinion. so id go with sixdiamond

this is an alright head if you peel off the rubber, although for an stx head, i'd go with the eclipse

this is lighter even with the rubber but a tiny bit weaker and unless you suck you should save it with the mesh anyway

no this head is amazing the side walls do help to cushin the wall and its worth the money

no theres a huge difference between this head and the eclipse. this head is more flexable which help for those low bouncers and the sidewalls help slow the ball so you can have more control with shots. i recomend this and the nemisis, and the eclipse. i have the eclipse, and the nemisis and they work perfectly for me and my other goalie has this head which is a sick head as well. its all about preference. if your low on cash and still want a decent head, go for the eclipse, if you have some money to spend and dont care about the weight of the head get the nemisis, and if you just want that little extra coushin then go for this

the rubber definitely helps cushion the ball and it stops the ball from rolling around in the pocket definitely worth the money

get this, even though the brine eraser is better (only slightly though) it breaks relatively easily(first hand experience)

the side wall hole on my 2 broke in the same place get the sentinel from LAX.COM its cheaper here

ive got a few heads, 4 goalmasters, eclipse, nemesis, money, guardian....the goalmaster is the way to go, cheap just flexable enough but stiff enough for good feel, scoop works but requires alot of touch. guardian was o.k but it was very heavy, did not pair well with my db803

the eclipse is way better than the guardian. the little rubber sidewalls on the guardian are just for show and they eventually fall off. go with the eclipse, even john hopkins' goalie uses it.

I don't own one my self, but I think STX could have made the 'Gaurdian' just as good w/out the strips of rubber. I own a fuse and am sure the rubber will just eventually peel of as well, making it worse.

i doent own this head but when my leauge was buying new goalie heads they asked me to come out and test some heads out and i found out that the garudaun givs almost no rebound but aint that good for out let passes and not that stiff so my leauge went for 2 nemisses and 2 eclips

I own the guardian and an eclipse, and i would say the guardian is easier to pass with, and the eclipse is much better for those, like myself, who like to run the whole field and do roll and bull dodges with. So if you want to stay in the crease, use the guardian, if not the eclipse is for you, but both are awesome to use.

The rubber side walls cushion the ball when it hits off the side wall. It has less of an off-set than the STX eclipse. Though they have the same basic design. The throat is contoured to allow you to grip it, with that feature you can put your hand higher for better ball control.

This head is very similar to the STX eclipse. They have the same basic design, With added features to this head, one of the most effective is the trigger finger grip on the throat. This gives you more control of the head and the ball inside the stick. Also when you make the save and it nicks the sidewall the ball is some what deadened by the rubber side walls, its one downfall is that after a period of time the rubber sidewall will peel off (like the STX fuse). ALL in all buy this head. I did and I made all my goalies at least try it before they forsake it. Incidentily I coach a High scool lacrosse.

Thanks for your information. I am trying to find a new head to replace the standard goalmaster. I always stuck to the goalmaster because it throws true. Is the same of the guardian? Secondly, has the rubber strips fallen off the head yet, and after how long? Is it more of a gimmick? Playing in a post collegiate league, I am a little dubious of the rubber strips offering much resistance on fast shots. Thanks Chris

I am the starting goalie for my HS team and played every minute of every game the last two years, the last year i had the Guardian for practice and the whole season, none of the sidewalls have come off, it did break in two places on the sidewall but that is expected w/ goalie heads. I think it is a GREAT HEAD!

Mine throws perfect

I have used the Guardian for two years now and it is the best head that I have used so far in my career as a goalie. This is why the Guardian is good: 1)The neck of the head is narrower than other heads and has a grip that you can hold, it never spins 2)The Guardian is lighter than the eclipse by more than an ounce 3)The actual head part of the Guardian has the same stopping area as the eclipse. The eclipse just has a wider neck. 4)The guardian is only to flexible when idiots leave laying it in the sun all day. 5)The rubber doesn't do anything but make it look cooler so dont say that it makes it weaker. If you want to, you can even peel it off and make the head even lighter. 6)The Guardian is extremely durable, I got mine from my brother who played starting goalie for a year with it, and I've used it as starting goalie for two more years and all thats happened to it was the rubber peeling a bit. 7)The Guardian, as with any head with the right stringing, throws perfectly well, I can easily clear the ball from crease to crease with mine. Also, each head is a little different and is subject to different experiences. Just because a head that you used broke in a game, it doesn't mean that another head would have held up any better in the same situation.
