they dont really protect good on the finger parts and yes there is a way to take plastic of take the velcro of and unbolt the screws

 | - LYLEx1996 3/25/12 reply
THese gloves are protective and are real nice once you break them in, but this is only my second season having them and they're falling apart in the palm area. |

does anybody know how to take the plastic part off? because i switched to attack and i dont want to buy new gloves but i hate playing with the plastic brackets on them. |

 | - jrlaxt1 11/04/11 reply
could i cut of the plastic part and use it as a regular middy glove? |
|
 | | - Cdog10 11/05/11 reply
A kid on my team has these and when I looked at the thumb part I saw that the plastic is like bolted into the glove. You could probably take it off but the whole thumb would come with it. |
|
 | | - superstar_midi 12/22/11 reply
why would you do that just get the regualar pair its cheaper anyways |
|
 | - mwkaplan 7/29/11 reply
These are flimsy for goalie gloves, especially for kids...i'd go elsewhere
|
|
 | - bluejayslaxer11 7/04/11 reply
i just got these and they r super comfy ecxept for the thumb cuz its stiff at first but after you use them a couple of times the thumb gets more flexible. i would definately reccommend these. by the way, they look SICK too |

Get the K18s. the King III's suck! they have no protection at all |
|
|
 | - UDellaxbro13 4/09/11 reply
with the K18s you cant move your thumb at all it will take a while to break it in. I suggest the Warrior Superfreak II. you can find them for $90 and they are amazing! |

Had no complaints about thease until on day b4 practice i bent my thumb just a little and it snapped now I am missing the top part of the thumb. But other than that no complaints. |
|
 | - WshsKeeper33 9/13/10 reply
People should stop complaining about the inability to move your thumbs in this glove, as a keeper your thumb should only be wrapped around the shaft so you barely have to move it anyway, the thumb protector is amazing I've started to use this after a crankshot shattered my thumb and the protection on this glove is unmatched by anything I've tried, I would recommend this glove to any goaltender looking for a more protective glove. |

i got them like year and a half ago amd they are not but the grip is nothing like you really need softhing on the shaft to get a good grip on it. i have the first K18 and i think its alot better |

 | - mendhamgoal17 2/04/10 reply
these are the best goalie gloves i have ever worn. The plastic locking device is pretty flexible, and it doesn't lock up so u can't like move it or anything. The gloves are fairly light and take like 20 mins to break in. I recommend these gloves to any goalies. They are a lot better than the Brine King II goalie glove. BUY THEM!!! |

the D30 seems alot like silly putty. i mean silly putty is moldebul and bounces. it also stays stiff when you hit it really hard but is stretchy. D30 is probably just orange silly putty |

 | - bplaxgoalie 11/18/09 reply
I LOVE MY OLD K18S they were great and for the locking thumb you can just cut it at the hindges so u barley notice tht its there i cant wait to get these |

so the thumb seems like a hassle....it locks whenever it gets hit? do u have to like pull it out for it to be flexible again or how does that work...just cause it says it locks thanks |

 | - bears lacrosse 10/19/09 reply
These are great gloves. They are the best glove for the $$$. Also, a lot more durable than the previous K18's.
p.s. go with the blacks! |

 | - xlax62 10/18/09 reply
Ok I like my gloves to have a good amount of protection and I cant decide what glove to get. Ive narrowed it down to 3 and they are K18, Cells, and the superfreak 2s. Any suggestions on which one I should get? |

These gloves are a great buy and the pictures don't do them justice. They look a lot better in person and the color doesnt look as dorky. |
