STX Katana

this is an awesome shaft, played with it all last year. and its strong as hell and will never break

This or the scandium pro need to know

I have only played a few games and through the summer, but so far I love it. It isn't like a regular crankshaft. It gives it a little whip but the cradling is just like a regular shaft. Great buy but wait becuase they are making different models.

If ur gettin this wait a few months cuz there making em in a bunch of new metals like scandium and titanium

you dont really notice the tilt. you just gotta get used to it . all yuo gotta do is throw off a wall for an hour or so but it takes alot of whip off of your stick so when you hit the wall bring some extra shooters and whip strings and it feels wierd cradeling with one hand in my opinion so i dont reccoment this for attack

is it harder to cradle with? does it make it more like a crankshaft?

Get this I love it takes 100 throws to get used but it's awsome

The STX Katana is a very light weighted shaft it might bend but the gait ice is a shaft is a shaft that will not bend at all. i have never see one bend in my life. But if u do get the STX katana it will take some t ime to get use to it because it is a very lite shaft

the gait ice is absolutely dreadful terrible, didnt make it through half a season before bending and denting

clutchx....... its better and the same price as super power

what makes the clutch x better? i like to face off some, would the super power be good for that? I want to take some shots too so....

To those of you who think this shaft is heavy, need to just stop playing lax because this thing is incredibly light, I got this from the NCAA Bracket contest with the Revolver head, It's perfect. I've used teammates Wonder Boys and what not. I still prefer this. Only, well, nit picky complaint, is with the 10 degree bend on it, you have to take that into account with anything your doing stickworking. And yes, it cranks a shot like NO other.

I don't know. I'm buying a Scandium Pro for my birthday with a proton power head so I can get back to you then, if you can wait. And to correct myself, the Katana has a 2 degree bend, not 10.

The katana is pretty much the same weidght. i have both of them and by far the katana is sicker and gives u more torque. Katana and scandium pro are the beest shafts out there. STX rocks all other companies

yes its porpusly bent for more torqu( power behind the shaft)........ amazing stick!!! but the ratings are off

yea it bends and it is one of the best shafts you can get

YOu cannot do this for facing-off... it has a 3 degree bend... i would suggest a dolomite diamond or a titan pro

you can use it for faceoffs. i use it when i go fogo sometimes

this shaft is not worth the money. if you want a stick that is super light and strong you should get the stx scandium pro. it is way better than this and is light and stronger

i cant belive that they dont have the katana scandium versoin because i have it but i swar its real its the same color but after katana it has SC but i swar on the bible its real plus its a little bit lighter and a little bit tougher

and i saw it before but what do you think is a pretty good head for it because im getting it in like a couple weeks

yeah i just got a katana sc at my local lax store. so happy i found it all the other shafts were old kryprtolyets and stx/warrior sticks. so far its beast

This head is very light and adds soooooo much torque (snap) to my shot i play attack/middie and this is the best shaft. NO DPOLE! NOT DURABLE ENOUGH!!!! GOOD GOALIE

ratings are wrong atleast 4.8 on everything becaus i tried a bunch of lite shaftes and this was the lightest grip amazing duribilaty not as god as the others but close this does kick @$$- legz's friend name not valid to show ( because you will stock me) -legz and friend

this shaft is made for shooting and a goalie is never shooting plus it might be a bit heaver behind u cuz a goalie head is so heavy and u have the 10 degree bend so?

they both have that gradual bend in the shaft. the difference is the katana is made out 7075 alloy, which is not good material, and the katana scandium, which is a durable and insanely light material. the katana scandium is lighter and more durable

this is nice if you can get use to the bend if not it screw up your throw and your shot completely

A shaft doesnt make much of a difference for face offs its just ur preference. The katana and proton power would be a sick combo. It throws really fast.

yeah, for my first shaft i got the platinum alloy from Warrior, and its just as light as this and just as durable

im in 6th grade and the moment i got this shaft i was unstoppable scored 25 goals this season!!!!

thsi is pretty good. durable, light and all that stuff. Only downside is that the paint chips off really easy

pros: * bend not noticeable *great whip *very light * good with most heads cons: * paint chips off easy about a week or so all around good shaft

whip comes from the shooting strings stupid

For you guys that are getting this to put on your old head, it reduces whip so you will need to add more whip to your stick. Also it is about 1.25inches longer than normal shafts

i cant speak for all of those but i have a scandium and it works great with the proton power so thats a good bet i think most shafts will fit tho
