This because it flexes better but if you like stiff go with proton. Proton is a lot more pinched to
- Tanner the Laxer 6/26/14 reply
I have the CEO and it takes faceoffs like a dream but I only used it for one season and it is warped out of use, should I get this or the proton power 2 for faceoffs and agressive Middie?
- rybo9 5/20/14 reply
Got mine strung for faceoffs. Great head all around, with good strength and weight. My pocket is a low-mid with 3 straight shooters, great for faceoffs and passing as well as shots every now and then. I would recommend it to any midfielders but maybe only skilled attackmen
- Sonny 5/08/14 reply
This is my favorite head for facing off as a middie. it does the job and has a good pinch for clamping the ball on FOGO. If you are looking for a FOGO head, the STX Super Power is the way to go
- tp2 4/27/14 reply
this or stallion for middie
- DJYALLAH 4/05/14 reply
This definitely, I use it for faceoff and after a season it still works perfectly and shoots perfectly
- GoldCashMan 3/12/14 reply
get this it does not wrp easily and it has a nice pinch
- tp2 3/10/14 reply
does this fit on a gait ice
- laxbro3901 4/20/14 reply
On the lax.com pro strung it comes with their own brand mesh or East Coast

The sport of LAX is FINALLY catching on in Wichita KS. I am coaching 27 "littles" in our league. 2nd-5th graders. Boys and girls. What is a good head for the kids to learn on? The kids are pretty much learning all the positions and the mids get to rotate face offs. That's where the problem is coming in. They need a head that won't hourglass in and be stiff enough, yet still be able to scoop ground balls. (Some kids have been playing four years--others first time) The kids are loving the game--but get frustrated with their heads at times. Any suggestions? I just want an all around good head.
- ianian002 12/01/13 reply
Nike CEO is a very good faceoff head. I know Mike Poppleton used it over the summer and I know I would use it too. Not sure how it is for GB's but it cant be bad. Super Power is also good, although I would choose the CEO over the Super Power. Super Power is very good for GB's. Hope that helps.
- uvacom12 12/04/13 reply
well they are younger kids and beginners so go with a wider head for catching. i would recommend something cheap because lets face it they are going to ding it up. for example gait torque 3s or other heads like that.
- max555 2/23/14 reply
For 4th year players i would say a super power or a brine clutch 3
but for first and second year you don't wanna get a nice head and have them quit so i would say a brine tork 3
- DustyLax 11/23/13 reply
great head. so light and the perfect stiffness for face-offs.
- NDCC 11/23/13 reply
The only dif i think is that the super power is NCAA legal and the proton is hs legal. Same price your choice
- velocitylax 11/13/13 reply
is this a good face off head fro middies because my brine is coming apart
- bob 10/28/13 reply
What is difference between proton power 2 and super power.
- Tsai Ti-Pro 11/27/13 reply
pp2 is stiffer, sp is wider, more flexible and heavier
- Caldoyle13 9/03/13 reply
I take Faceoff and play a little bit of attack and I was looking for a reliable and good Faceoff head, I was thinking this or the Brine Clutch
- lsmwarrior 9/28/13 reply
dont get the clutch for faceoffs, it has to much pinch and is too flimsy. the clutch is a great attack head i have one.
- mundorf fanatic2 8/11/13 reply
Is the ECM one actually string by the eastcoastdyes/stylinstrings guys or is it just their regular stringing w/ the ECM in it
- Mitz05 7/23/13 reply
I don't take face offs but I'm looking for a great head for middie
- ata1 7/17/13 reply
i was wondering if this was a good face off head and if it was worth the price. I have a clutch 2x and it is not the best for face offs. I want a head that can do it all, Take face offs, shoot well and scoop ground balls well. will this do the job?
- Chesapeake Stringing 10/14/13 reply
Go with a Blade Pro or any other semi-flexible head. the Blade Pro was designed to be the all-around head for a midfielder.
- MaRcLaCrOsSe 7/14/13 reply
EVERY HEAD WILL FIT ON EVERY SHAFT!!! SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GET A DRILL AND MAKE A HOLE BUT THAT TAKES LESS THAN A MINUTE!
- Laxer4Life66 7/08/13 reply
I'm a faceoff middie and this head is great. The head is very flexible and doesn't break. The only problem is when i do a pinch and pop the head warps slightly but its an easy fix. All i do is pull it back easily. Overall: Great!
- hlat81 6/23/13 reply
should i get the proton power 2 or this?
- Snaplaxxxxx 6/16/13 reply
does this fit on the surgeon or the kryptolyte because the laxworld guy said it did but i cant get it on
- sslaxbro 6/16/13 reply
Good for faceoffs only problem is it will hourglass quickly if you really take a lot of draws
- BradW44 5/29/13 reply
perfect for any type of play. Most guys don't recommend for faceoffs, but I hardly ever take any as an attack man. Scooping ground balls might be a little annoying, i've snagged the ground and bent it back once or twice, but nothing a little hustle can't fix. Great holes for stringing, very easy and you gotta love the shape of it. Highly recommend for any level of play.
- PrincetonLax9 5/16/13 reply
I'm thinking of getting this, a lakota, a legacy, or a proton power, any preference?
- #youplaywhat? 5/17/13 reply
depends on what you play, I love this and the lakota the PP is way to pinched and i've seen to many snap. the SP is a great offensive head
- titanslax16 6/13/13 reply
i have the legacy, its an ok head but i find it hard to string for some reason, I'm saving up for the proton. i would recommend proton
- Liam12345890 5/14/13 reply
i have this on my gait ice and it is amazing but i was wondering if this head is good for lsm and defence
- LAX BRO 4 EVER 5/19/13 reply
This is an amazing head for offense. It is a little to narrow for defense. If you are looking for a great defensive head I would recommend the hammer or the X10. Again head is smaller and more narrow.
- Cburylax4 5/19/13 reply
Its alright for defense and lsm. Not as effective as it is and offensive head but its nice and stiff for the poke checks. If you are looking for a lsm/defensive STX head then i recommend the X10 or Xcallibur.
- Waxxxxxx 5/08/13 reply
hasn't warped, good all around head, i use this as a middy and attack, if strung right the head is just perfect
- EliteLax03 5/05/13 reply
I don't know whether to buy the proton power or the super power. I have heard that the super power hourglasses like crazy, but also the some of the proton powers have defects. Any thoughts or advice?
- dabenz2 4/19/13 reply
I currently use it on my nike vandal and yes it does fit, but it was a very tight fit so it make take a little work but it does fit
- tbsnow34 3/24/13 reply
Will this Super Power fit on my STX Crankshaft 10 pole?
- flaxball 3/20/13 reply
Any head fits on a shaft its just matter of screw placement. If it is wobbling a little, you can put tape around the shaft and jam the head on

- wolfey5678 3/19/13 reply
Idaho lacrosse that's cute And your a junior on j.v you're the one who sucks
- SANTAFELAX# 3/22/13 reply
the pro strung is done by paol Rabi so what do you think?
- RelaxAndReLax 3/28/13 reply
Get a real stringer to string yours, I ordered a "pro" strung from them and the pocket was more shallow than a kiddy pool.
- msturgeon963 4/29/13 reply
It sucks just look up a tutoriolal on YouTube, that will work much better
- Waxxxxxx 5/08/13 reply
bad stringing, i bought it pre strung and it had no pocket or hold, i added east coast mesh and two u shooters and now its legit, the stringing didn't do much good for the head
- ADuran 3/11/13 reply
Should I get this or the evolution 3x? I play mid field and face off
- Ovaltine7 3/07/13 reply
Absolutely love this head. Super easy to string, plays like a dream. Most of my teammates can pick it up and throw perfectly instantly.
- THETRIBE 2/27/13 reply
I play attack, should I buy this or a Proton. I play high school.
- xcomitatus 3/05/13 reply
Eh, not really good in my opinion. The super power is a really stiff head and it will break SO easily. I had one last year and loved it, did a couple faceoffs with it but the right sidewall broke by the end of the season. Just got a new one this year for attack. If you're willing to take the risk to spend 90 dollars for a stiff faceoff head, be my guest bud.
- Ultimate Middie 1/31/13 reply
THIS HEAD IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! i used my friends head on the new surgeon sti-ti AMAZING i do not reccomend for defenders because the head is not stiff but quite flexible Great for face off middies like me.
- SANTAFELAX# 3/22/13 reply
BUT are your really the ultimate middie? I think paol rabbil is sorry brah chacho
- lacrosse458 1/23/13 reply
what is the best shaft to use with the super power. i play mid field
also, as a backup should i get an evolyte or evolution 3
- WilmingtonNCLax 1/29/13 reply
I had this on a regular Gait 803 a few years ago. It was reliable, but I eventually changed shafts
- Indianlax 1/05/13 reply
Will a super power fit on a maverik H2 shaft?
- jojothewizard 12/29/12 reply
Will the super power fit on the gait ice shaft? Need to known!
- cristylw 12/29/12 reply
yes. i've had a super power and a gait ice for about 2 years.
- jrlaxt1 12/20/12 reply
Nice head but close to minimum string holes which restricts stringing options
- cristylw 12/27/12 reply
There's plenty. The Proton Power has nearly any. The Super Power has plenty of stringing holes, as shown in the picture.
- gwalsh 12/04/12 reply
what is better for an attack a superpower or a evo x
- mjppgh 1/03/13 reply
usually attackmen want a narrower head so the ball wont come out, so the clutch would be the narrower one between the two, id say go with a proton power which is even narrower
- cherokeelacrosee27 12/03/12 reply
I play highschool lacrosse and right now i have Proton power and stx katana, i have played 3 seasonns, and my shaft was getting too beat up and hangs a little too much. Any idea for a good shaft for a middie/attack that goes well with a proton power? Also should i sell my proton powerand buy the superpower?
- cristylw 12/27/12 reply
Your proton power will begin to pinch this season if you have been using it for 2 years.
- TexKing 11/21/12 reply
would this be great with a rockitpoket?
- Lindylaxer19 11/17/12 reply
anyone who says that the clutch is a better faceoff head than the super power or a even a good head for facing off is clearly not a respectable face off guy because that head is absolutely horrible...
- LaxFreeAgent 10/28/12 reply
Should I get this or a clutch for my back up? I have a stallion and I play middie btw
- cristylw 11/23/12 reply
You probably used it for like 2 face-offs. super powers do warp/ "hourglass" so easily
- LaxPro1299 10/25/12 reply
I would say clutch because it is stiffer and would be easier to shimmy the ball out if needed. Plus the clutch is less likly to break in a face off.
- MONOlax45 9/27/12 reply
Which is better. Super power or Cobra? Also would either of them fit on an Easton Stealth Ultralite? Please answer soon
- ALL4corners 9/27/12 reply
i am a faceoff middie and i was wondering if i should get a superpower or clutch. Can anyone please tell me about the heads to so i have an easier time deciding? Thankyou everyone!
- OWL24 9/11/12 reply
Would this be fine to use for close d?
- STX_LAX4 8/19/12 reply
this is an awesome head. not as pinched as a proton power but still amazing hold. iv had it for one season and I have no complaints, strong and very light. you can go wrong with this head so if you have the chance to get this, do it.
- Fritchmister #4 8/18/12 reply
I use to use the brine clutch 2x for faceoffs but they always seemed to break at the base within a few months. I've had this head for a whole year (4 tournaments, 1 combine, plus summer leugue) and it has no breaks or knicks.
- oblax122 8/13/12 reply
which is better stallion or super power... for crease
- WindyCityLaxer 8/09/12 reply
does this warp if you use the brine pocket stretcher? cuz i cant tell if its flex or warp when i am stretching my pocket
- LaxBro4Life1243 8/15/12 reply
these dont really warp its probably being pushed by the pocket stretcher
