hard mesh

  • OK - Here's the deal... we absolutely STOLE these from STX with a massive buy this season.....hahahahah. And now we are hooking up all our defensive minded players at this insane limited time price. These were flying out the door at $80 last season and now we are offering them at $30 till we run out !!

The STX Xcalibur features an updated design that combines the best of the X2 with today's advanced features. STX's classic trestle sidewall provides for extra stiffness and strength for solid checks and defensive play. STX Forward Cant for quicker passing and shooting. Aerodynamic, detached sidewall and stop takes out excess weight and reduces ball rattle.

The white hard mesh model is strung by STX.
The STX Xcalibur is a pinched down version of the X10 for players that want a little more control and cradle the ball deeper in the throat of the stick than a typical defensive head. A top choice for long stick middies of all ages and for advancing youth defensemen.

Will this head fit a broom handle or mop handle.....or will it fit a baseball bat, not sure what one I want to go with?
D - 6/26/15 reply

Is this a good defense head. I need a really stiff head but a head that is pinched enough to clear the ball while running
(no subject) - 6/22/15 reply

is this good for face offs
Stiffness - 4/13/15 reply

i have heard this was a stiff head and used my friends caliber and it was stiff but when I bought mine from here it wasn't as stiff more flexible than stiff
NCAA legal - 10/18/14 reply

I'm i middle school defender i recently crack my warrior evolyte would this be a good replacement and why isn't it NCAA legal my evolyte wasn't either. so it doesn't matter
yes - 7/03/13 reply

yes it is the x10 has a different throught than the xcalibur. but the xcalibur is also more stiff for defenceive middies
x10 and this - 5/14/13 reply

(no subject) - 5/29/12 reply

is this thing as durable as the proton u and is it as stiff
for D - 5/23/12 reply

this, X10, or X2?
(no subject) - 4/27/13 reply

x10 - muchhh stiffer the problem with that head is that the best pocket for it is a low one which, at least for me, isn't my kind of pocket placement.
(no subject) - 5/20/12 reply

what shaft should i get with an xcaliber??
(no subject) - 5/23/12 reply

if you're on d, i'd get the maverik h2. i have that and it is super strong, but not that light.
(no subject) - 4/07/13 reply

i have a maverik wonderboy, i have it and its great but not very light. My teammate has a warrior diamond and its very light not sure about durability though
this is better than X10 - 5/15/12 reply

BS X10 is better. this is the best D head. why do you think this is illegal in NCAA and the X10 is legal in NCAA.
(no subject) - 12/15/12 reply

legality has nothing to do with it
(no subject) - 3/22/12 reply

i plat attack should i get this

x10 - 7/20/12 reply

(no subject) - 8/19/11 reply

I am looking for a stiff head that won't warp or bend when I pick up gbs, and this sounds and looks like a good head. I play some lsm though and I'm wondering if this is good for a little bit of offensive play
(no subject) - 8/04/11 reply

Awesome d head, durable, great for ground balls and very accurate
get it - 8/03/11 reply

yo this head is sick comepletely worth it and if your string it right its amazingly accurate and great for rippin shots

Which to get - 6/18/11 reply

I can't decide which head to get for defense: proton u, x10 or xcalibur, or is there anything better for 75 or under
(no subject) - 6/15/11 reply

im getting a new D pole and im not sure if i should go with this or the surgeon. i play some lsm so i like to be able to carry the ball and play some offense. any suggestions?
laaaax - 6/17/11 reply

i have tried out both for crease d. though its more expensive, the surgeon is less flexable then the xcalibur. i suggest the Surgeon U, (wider) for doing quick on the run ground balls and batting down crappy passes. xcallibur for faceoffs, actually face-off lsm head would be the Maverick juice. surgeon, juice, then evo, then xcal,
(no subject) - 10/10/11 reply

get an edge or this but i prefer the edge
(no subject) - 6/12/11 reply

pinch - 6/12/11 reply

I play D, and like a more pinched head than most, is this really wide, or just normal? should i get this, or something else?
(no subject) - 6/03/11 reply

this is a great head, i play d and it works great
(no subject) - 5/31/11 reply

this, x10, or gospel
(no subject) - 6/11/11 reply

this or x 10 they are almost exactly the same except x10 is ncaa legal and high school legal and the xcaliber is only high school legal
Amazing!!! - 5/22/11 reply

I got this head from a d-pole at the beginning of the season and i pinched it myself( i play aggressive middie, i dodge a lot and take face-offs)and to sum up this head in one word, amazing! It throws like a dream and every ground ball is almost a guarantee for me i go thru stick checks and i keep the ball every time. So if any aggressive middie or even an attack want a good stiff head and know how to pinch it correctly get this for sure!!!
awesome for defence - 5/21/11 reply

this is a great head for defense and is very durable
laxbeast - 5/17/11 reply

(no subject) - 5/16/11 reply

i would buy the gnar I just got it and its amazing. Ive got a proton power on it and its probably the best stick that ive ever had. The only thing is i had to drill another hole but it didnt take long
xcalibur - 5/21/11 reply

I started with an xcalibur but got it used at a local lacrosse store near my house, used it was only $40 and still in great condition.
(no subject) - 5/22/11 reply

I recommend a xcaliber with a maverik wonder boy or a scandium pro but the wonder boy is cheaper.
(no subject) - 6/11/11 reply

thats exactly what my pole is xcaliber and wonder boy. awesome combo
(no subject) - 6/17/11 reply

get a krytpolyte and this
you help is here - 8/11/11 reply

(no subject) - 5/10/11 reply

amazing - 5/08/11 reply

This is one of the best defensive heads ever. You can scoop balls with ease, and throw some really hard poke checks. Its also one of the lightest defensive heads I've ever held. The price is also amazing GREAT. 1000000000 stars

The Xcalibur - 5/08/11 reply

The xcalibur by FAR. its one of the best defensive heads EVER.
disagree x 10 - 4/25/11 reply

i play d and have it on 2 long poles with x 10. i go middie back A LOT and it has great passing and hold. it is a little heavy though like 5.1 ounces but i like it cause u can feel the ball
d head? - 4/23/11 reply

should i get the x10 or this? i play d but i still run up the field.which one should i get?
x 10 - 4/25/11 reply

(no subject) - 5/05/11 reply

Xcalibur - 5/21/11 reply

Get the xcalibur it's got better ratings and its cheaper.
Xcalibur - 4/19/11 reply

this head is one of the best heads ive ever played with u will enjoy this thing its amasing
new head - 4/14/11 reply

hey my MojoX just started to crack, I think it will last the season, afterwards what head should I get? I play defense
MIL Thunder - 4/17/11 reply

I play D and the MIL thunder can pretty much cut people literally the sidewalls are literally sharp. its stiff and you can do some damage on pokes. if you wanna inflict pain and scare the living **** out of any attack men then get it. go to the website and order one seriously. i murder dudes with it no joke. not to mention i have trad on it so it catches like a dream and has such good hold. but i recommend a high pocket with any kind of stinging and the scoop will be phenomenal. the website is mowhawkintlacrosse(dot) com. check it out if you wanna own any attack.
(no subject) - 4/17/11 reply

how much is it?
not sure - 4/27/11 reply

check them out on their website and call them or email them for prices. trust me its worth it
head - 4/04/11 reply

i really recommend this head, ive had it 2 years and it owns so much, id pay 120 for this head
very good for defence - 3/26/11 reply

i have this head and its really good, super stiff, and it scoops well. Use it if your in high school
(no subject) - 3/23/11 reply

This head WARPS like a mofo, man 3 poles on my team including me have this head for like 3 weeks and has warped so damn much!
(no subject) - 3/23/11 reply

I just received this head today and it picks up really well Super stiff
D - 3/03/11 reply

X10 - 3/05/11 reply

NAh - 3/06/11 reply

I was power passing with my bro and it broke go wit somethin else like the proton u
(no subject) - 5/22/11 reply

cause u play defense dont put a cluth which is a attack head on a d pole get this head its super stiff
(no subject) - 2/18/11 reply

this head sucks for mid or attack
info - 4/04/11 reply

thats because its a defence head
(no subject) - 5/22/11 reply

because it a defense head.
x10 no doubt - 1/17/11 reply

Ok i have had both of these heads and their is no comparison. This head is not as stiff and warps really easily. I have used the x10 for about 1 year now and it is still very stiff. This head just cant compare to an updated version of it. It might have been good when it came out.. but no i would go with the x10 no doubt.
(no subject) - 12/19/10 reply

Get the brine edge... if u play defense its a great head probebly 1 of the best
(no subject) - 11/27/10 reply

been using the xcalibur for a year now. i might be looking for a new head. should i get a brine edge, x10 or just stick with my xcalibur???
(no subject) - 11/04/10 reply

this or x10?
This - 11/19/10 reply

This has more colors and the only difference is that the X10 is supposed to be 10% stronger and NCAA legal
(no subject) - 10/31/10 reply

this head is amazing for ground balls and poke checks. i would also recomend a x10 or a proton u.
(no subject) - 10/25/10 reply

this head is nothing special. I own it. I broke one after about a month and got it replaced under warranty, but the head bends a lot, and warps. It throws alright long passes are accurate-shots are as well. The advantage of this over the X10 is nothing, because the pinch is practically the same while the X10 is much stiffer and durable. recomend X10, Gospel, or Clutch 1 or 2.
(no subject) - 10/12/10 reply

I have this head and it sucks. Ground balls are horrible and for me, this head is very flimsy. Nothing special about this. I recommend getting a Revo, X10, or cyber pro.
(no subject) - 9/18/10 reply

X10 is better & hs & ncaa legal
D head - 9/04/10 reply

This or x10 for D?
(no subject) - 9/18/10 reply

X10, stiffer & more accurate
(no subject) - 8/31/10 reply

I've played d for 2 years now and I'm looking for a better head. This or the brine edge?
this - 11/19/10 reply

(no subject) - 8/19/10 reply

My parents said i should get the best defensive head and best shaft for my freshman year. im no small guy and i throw hard checks. I currently have a 3 year old kryptolyte with an edge. what head/stick should i get? i have been trying to decide between X10, Xcaliber, Proton Power, ans the Gospel
(no subject) - 11/19/10 reply

Get either a krypto of some kind or a gait ice with either the X10 or Xcalibur
(no subject) - 8/03/10 reply

(no subject) - 8/03/10 reply

i have this head and ive used it 2 seasons and its still stiff
i have this and the x10 - 7/28/10 reply

i have used both this head and the x10. i like the x10 more because after a while the xcaliber becomes flexible and loses its stiffness whereas the x10 stays stiff.
(no subject) - 7/19/10 reply

i have this head strung with traditional works great for catching and passing had it on my dpole but would i would say lot better on a shorty
(no subject) - 7/15/10 reply

would this head be good pinched?
(no subject) - 7/15/10 reply

depends on you're position and preference, I personally do not like the pinch, but what do you think about six diamond mesh
(no subject) - 7/13/10 reply

what do you guys think of monster mesh on this baby
(no subject) - 8/13/10 reply

pwns. six diamond is so great its great
READ BEFORE BUYING - 7/06/10 reply

i bought this head thinking that it was going to be super stiff and amazing for defense. this head is wide which makes it great for intercepting passes, groundballs, and makes catching an ease. the stiffness of the head was incredible when i first bought it and i was hoping that it would last. last week was my first summer lax camp and the first time i got to use my new xcalibur. after playing in the head this head gets VERY FLEXIBLE more so than even a proton power. and once it bends it stays that way until you push it back in place. if you are playing in cold enviroments i reccomend you get this head. if you are planning on using it when its hot think twice. the flexibily can be good at times such as facing off but bad at others when trying to grab gbs or poke check (4/5)
Middie - 6/30/10 reply

Not trying to be a smart ass, wondering if this is any good for a short stick middie, does some faceoffs, not looking for suggestions just yes or no and why or why not
(no subject) - 7/03/10 reply

no. its wider and stiff for defense. for faceoffs you want something pinched that can flex a little bit.
yes - 7/06/10 reply

this head may be stiff but it can get very flexible, it is wide which makes it easy for ground balls and clamping, great def, lsm, and fogo head
WHICH HEAD - 6/28/10 reply

gospel, excalibur, clutch x, or super power for d/lsm?
(no subject) - 7/02/10 reply

excalibur for sure. its a good D head and durible. just cracked my gopel after half a season of high school defence. may want to check out the X10 too.
(no subject) - 7/07/10 reply

clutch x, but if i were u, i would definetly get the brine edge. u should its a better d head than all of those
Warped - 6/24/10 reply

My friend had this head for two games and he returned it and got a maverick juice because it warped bigtime from throwing to many pokechecks.
(no subject) - 6/23/10 reply

revo x is awesome i used my coaches for d TOTAL SEXINESS
best head - 6/12/10 reply

Wat is the best head for high school defense. i like to run the ball up the field. i have it narrowed down to the x10 xcalibur. and maybe the brine edge please respond.
REVO!!! - 6/19/10 reply

(no subject) - 5/18/10 reply

i jus broke my 3 year old razor pro. i play attack sometimes, but mostly face-off. need a new head, what do you think? please comment
(no subject) - 5/12/10 reply

It is kind of stupid that this will be illegal next year it is my friends looks wide enough but I guess not
best head for d - 5/09/10 reply

first of all this head is deffinatley stiff enough for d second of all if u get 6 diamond mesh when it comes to hold u should b fine
this or revo pro - 5/08/10 reply

this or the revo pro and why?
(no subject) - 5/14/10 reply

i dnt see why u would compare those two heads one is meant for D the other is more of a Middie and Attack head. This head is good for D because of the bridge design on the sidewalls gives it so much durability and the side walls are kind of sticking out so stick checks hert alot more
Durability sucks.. - 5/04/10 reply

I've had this thing for like 3 weeks, a couple games and todays game i was checking people really hard and at half time I looked at my stick and it was warped. Then I tried bending it left and right and it seemed like it would be an amazing face off head, except it sucks at holding the ball... Zero hold.
triangle - 5/04/10 reply

dont get it its a triangle
bad head - 4/25/10 reply

its to wide for att and midi but to flexible for d
X10 - 4/25/10 reply

the X10 head is the same idea, legal for 2010 and stiff as hell. the X10 is a combination of the Revo and Xcalibur for the best defensive head in lacrosse.
(no subject) - 4/20/10 reply

crap head 2 flexible
??? - 4/19/10 reply

I play defence should i get the Xcsl or the clutch or clutch X??
(no subject) - 4/19/10 reply

definetely get this..nice and stiff..nice and wide to pick off passes..its ridged at the sidewalls so its gonna hurt whoever you check
(no subject) - 4/20/10 reply
