these gloves lay better on the hands of a goalie or a defender. there durable and thick for the big hitters. but because of this it makes the less maneuverable for mids/attacks. Right gloves, but gotta be the right player.

These gloves are stupid.I'm upset with Warior because they just took the macdaddy 2's and put banana lining and "brass" knuckles on it and changed the name to brass monkey. It's just a more expensive version of the macdaddy 2's.(besides that i'm a pretty big Warrior fan)

I have a pair a King 2's and Warrior Mac Daddy 2's and let me tell you I am impressed with how amazing the Brine King 2's are. If you don't need gloves right away, then you should wait for the Brine shakedowns which were the gloves that were only used by the Duke lacrosse team.

I love how they make a huge deal about the knuckle protection when ive never gotten hit in the knuckles.

Yea, i agree with you there, the companies make these AMAZING gloves, and they're not that amazing.

You may not but they way I cradle and hold my stick I get hit in the knuckles quite a bit. These gloves protect me from everything except, getting hit in the side of the hand with a 75 mph shot which is understandable.

I tried these on at the MBYLL jamboree and they are the most comfortable gloves i've ever worn.

i haven't had these gloves for all too long and I already love them. When you first get them they seem very stiff but after about one practice they were nice and broken in. You can't feel a thing when you get hit and the knuckle protectors are not as annoying as you'd think.

One thing that comes with attack is you're getting checked a lot and so i think the brass monkeys are the best choice. Though the brass knuckles make me uncertain in terms of legalness, these are so sick and awesome

so i went to my local breakaway and tried them on they are super uncomfortable compared to rockstars which i have they feel the same everything in it does not feel right either get superfreaks or if u want shockers too or king 2s but these just suck

The Brass Monkeys are pretty much the exact same thing as the Mac Daddy 2 but with some weird knuckle things. I recommend the Mac Daddy. Much more flexible for a cheaper price.

theyre sick looking, yes and they have the comfort of a regular mac2, but the thumb on this glove is very rigid, plus the knuckles arent even necessary, this item is only charged more for its design you might as well get regular mac2's or superfreak 2's

love these gloves had them 4 two games now and have been better than any other gloves i have had (Warrior: Superfreak II and Gait: Mutant). light wieght and durable makes them the perfect glove for any attack player out there too!

these are very comfortable, and the knuckle protection seems to work but the thumb space could be a bit larger over all great gloves.

they'll last longer because usually your hand stops growing at 13...

I dont think i could agree with you any more. Warrior always remakes their products to get more money off of people who actually think that they need to have their knuckles protected more then what other gloves offer or maybe they think that to have that design is worth $185. The point is they are gypping people like any other normal corporation would.They not only reinvent their gloves a lot but also they come out with so many heads and shafts that are practically the same as their previous designs. An example for this would be the revo 2.0 and revo pro, in addition to all their Evos(Ti,2.0,pro) and their razers and blades. Their shafts are even more reinvented, they have 4 titaniums, about 11 kyptos(on the warrior website) and then the dolomites(2) which are a mix between a k-pro and titanium. Also they jack-up the prices to the point where you are just wasting your money if you buy one of their products new. They usually make quality gear but they are not worth it in my opinion.They do make the best gloves also, that i don't think can be denied but like i said earlier they are just too expensive. Maverick tends to make better priced items(except their new titanium shaft), so go with maverick as a general rule-of-thumb if you do not have money to blow. And lastly i am a goalie and i don't really think that getting hit in the hand hurts that much so that would not be a good reason to buy this glove. If you do complain about making a save off your hand then just suck it up because it is really only your thumb that can be easily messed up off a well placed shot.

Take a look at the Mac II's. these are exactly the same glove. the design on the outside and the palm design are both the same. the only difference is the "knuckles" on the brass monkey's.

My point is that this shows a complete lack of initiative on Brine/Warrior's part. They released the same glove with a 2 different color schemes, but one of them is 185 instead of 170..

generally speaking someone your size should get a medium(sometimes called 12in.) I'm 150lbs and 5' 10' and i use med super freaks and they are perfect(my idea of perfect is that they are tight on my hands.)But i also have k-18s in size large and they also fit just right, so i think it varies from company to company. As for protection and flexibility i don't think face-offs need anything special, any good glove is a good glove. but these look like they are a waste of money (personally i don't know because i don't have them). If you want to save money i would suggest getting Maverik Dynasty Supreme GL because they are the best bang for buck. but if you really like this glove then just get the macdaddy IIs because they are practically the same thing.And lastly, in general, warrior makes the best gloves there are.

now i'm looking to buy the king 2's, however i saw these and wondered if they really do offer more protection? i was al so curious if any1 has tried on the king 2's and these to decide that if the brass monk's sacrifice any sort of mobility due to padding, where as the king 2's look pretty well distributive of padding leading to not so much bulk.

Kings were the best gloves when they came out....now they have been revolutionized even better the king II's are alot like the Mac daddy II's but better...it all really depends on if u favor warrior or brine though....
