its lax.com promesh on the pro strung head... their pro stringing is usually bad tho. its just cheaper to buy their pro mesh and string it yourself. |

I need a new defense head. I don't like wide heads like the X10 so like any width through the X10 and Proton power is a good width for me. So what's the best head the edge, Evo 3, or the stallion!? Please help |

Anything in the warrior krypto series like krypto pro, kryptolyte, and krypto pro diamond etc. are good shafts that fit it well. also look at the sc-ti pro from stx. I hope that helps! |

Im a defenseman that likes to clear the ball a lot. Right now i have and edgeX and hav had it for 2 years. Im not sure if i like it that much, so shud i consider getting an evo 3? Thanks |
 | | - laxlord3 5/09/12 reply
evo is a decent defensive head but a better choice would be either the STX X10 or the STX Xcaliber |
 | - T-Lax14 5/07/12 reply
Isn't the evolution3 suppose to have 2 shooters and 2 v's for the pocket |
 | - dburt30 5/02/12 reply
im a middie, which has better scoop, this or the stallion |
 | | - laxman3rivers54 12/30/12 reply
My stallion is a machine at clamping on the faceoff and one handed scooping it the ball up and it doesnt work as wel on turf as real grass, the Evo 3 otherwise has a scoop that is made so it looks like a shovel so scooping is fairly easy...evo is stiffer and has less stringing holes. |

 | - antwooon9 3/25/12 reply
Alright so i play attack, this has definitely made my stick skills suffer, and i am still beginning to get used to it. I never played this winter so that was my bad, and at practice i was doing worse than ever. Now that i am fairly used to it, the only thing i need to work on is my shot speed, i was used to a flexy clutch x and proton power, but what i can say about the evo 3 is the tightness of the face of the head, and the curve of the scoop makes accuracy a bit better. Lastly, this is a strong head, but if you came from a flexy head like i did, learn to actually use it so you don't make a fool of yourself like i did at times (shot went wide first few times because of the stiffness, even at 70mph my accuracy was dead) now i'm back to normal with everything, almost.
Overall: get head if you want a durable head, good checks that hurt, good accuracy, great for gb's. D, mid, and attack i recommend getting this if you like strong heads. |

 | - flglax 13 2/21/12 reply
i got a blue evo 3 for christmas and broke it before the end of january, warrior sent me a white one through the warranty and its 10x stronger then the colored one, the reason is because when they do the two color dye they take out a piece in the sidewall then mold it back into the head which isnt nearly as strong |
 | - laxclayton3 2/18/12 reply
Absolutley incredible, and i love this. Great for faceoffs. And get it pro strung i loved the way they did it for only 9 dollars. not too much wip so a lot of shot speed |
 | - bmxlax29 1/18/12 reply
i snapped my proton power doing FO, now im looking at either the original clutch or the evo 3. reasons for why ones better than the other ( mainly for faceoffs) would be great |

the evo 3 and clutch are both not that great for facing off |

im looking at the original clutch the evo3 and the vice x
 | | - Dawson Laxer 5/22/12 reply
If you are looking at a fo head, never get a clutch. They warp so much and are horribly weak. I would recommend clutch only for attack who really like to shoot. I don't have any personal input on evo3 but I hear it is great for face-offs. Also look into the stallion from stx |

 | | - triton lax 10/30/11 reply
the proton power is great for a very physical attackman and i do faceoffs and its ok for that also. The evo 3 is awsome if you ever had a evo 2.0 or evo pro its those 2 put together. And the clutch is a all around great head but its not good for faceoffs and neither is the evo 3. Hope i helped you(btw anyone that asked if the cluthch is good for d if you like a pinched head) |
 | | - lacrossebrett 12/22/11 reply
Get the clutch, ive had the proton power and its nice but nearly impossible to string and my friend has the evo 3 and he hates his and says its not pinched at all. The clutch is very pinched high up the head and us very easy to string. Ive had all these except the evo3 but i like the clutch. Its a personal prederence |

the clutch is wayyyy too stiff i have it and only won 8 face-offs ALL season, my coach was soo p o |
 | | | - gom96 6/20/11 reply
i could be wrong i dont take faceoffs but dont you want to have a more flexible head when taking them? the clutch and the surgeon are really stiff so there better for attack. i dont know anything about the evo 3 but the previous evos besides the stiffi and spyne are really flexible |
 | | | | - des13 6/20/11 reply
Youre right, but I just like stiff heads more. The super power was perfect so I might end up getting another one, but this head just looks sick |
 | | | | - LYLEx1996 6/28/11 reply
no you dont want a more flexible head at all. you want to be able to manipulate your head without it breaking but you dont want a super flexible one and stiff heads are good for defense so you dont just throw pussy poke checks and it doesnt really matter the stiffness on attack, it's just preference |
