TOWSON, Md. The No. 17 Towson University men's lacrosse team used an 8-0 run that spanned from the first to third quarters to claim a 10-8 win over High Point University in the NCAA First Four game on Wednesday night in Johnny Unitas Stadium. Max Siskind led the way with three goals for the Tigers. The Tigers advance to play No. 1 Notre Dame on Saturday, May 9 at 6 p.m. High Point scored the first five goals of the game and held the 5-0 advantage with 3:49 to play in the first. Joe Seider's goal with 2:30 to go in the first quarter started the decisive run for the Tigers. Mike Lynch scored twice for the Tigers during the run while Justin Mabus had a goal and an assist. That Towson run also included the first goal of the year for defenseman JoJo Ostrander. High Point's goal with 2:17 to play in the third quarter was its first since the first quarter. Towson added two more goals from Siskind before High Point scored the final two goals of the game which made it a 10-8 final. Tyler White made nine saves to earn the win in goal for the Tigers. Austin Geisler made 13 saves in the loss for High Point. Alec Burckley was 15-for-22 on faceoffs and had 12 ground balls in the game for Towson.
